How can I get graphics to stay transparent?

I use a lot of clip art & buy digital scrap kits, when I'm working on a design & save my work for the night, close the program to shutdown my computer, The next time I open that design and edit anything, rotate, resize, etc. It changes the background to white.
It's VERy frustrating because a lot of times I have to go back & re-do all the layer styles and all that to make it look like it did & it's very time consuming at times.... So I end up leaving my computer on all night which my husband hates... it hibernates but still... Is there a way to make it stay transparent? Thanks so much if you can help me!!

And I can still edit it that way in photoshop?
I know how to save as a png to keep it transparent, but I'm talking about when I'm still editing a design.

Thanks for the flag J.K. - they contaced me and solved my problem. On this account (which I created just to ask this question), I log in with my email rather than my user name (mtalldud). On the account that I was having trouble with, they told me to use my user ID instead of my email to log in and it worked. This is a bit confusing and seems a bit inconsistent but at least I don't need this temporary account any more to get into this community and find answers!

It sounds like you would like to send a text from your phone number on your portable computer. You can do this by setting iMessage to start new conversations from your phone number in the Messages settings:
On OS X, find out which addresses are enabled:
In Messages, choose Messages > Preferences > Accounts.

How can I get rid of the transparency in the Tab bar and get a solid colour

I have upgraded to Firefox 4 and because the menu bars were 'ugly' put in a persona.
Now I find that the Tab bar is transparent, which makes it hard to read.
How can I change the Tab bar to a solid colour and still keep the persona.
And if there is a solution can it please be put into simple terms for someone who only has a bit of computer skill.

My reminders and notes keep disappearing - where do they go and how can I get them to stay forever?

Hi - I'm having challenges with the Notes and Reminders apps. Data in both disappear - i.e. in Reminders I have the titles of the Reminder list but all the items in the list are no longer there. Notes just flat out go into the ether. This started upon downloading IOS 7. Reminders did not seem to be affected until just today when I rebooted my phone and all 5-7 of my Reminder lists are now titled but blank. What gives?

I just had the scare of the year with my Notes app also. I have been adding to one or two pages in the Notes app on my iPad Mini for over a year, and today when I went to look something up on one of them, ALL my notes were gone!! It was as if I was using the app for the very first time!! I nearly fainted!!
Mid panic attack, I brailled around Google and found this link. I didn't really know what to make of it other than that somehow there might be hope--my Notes might actually still exist SOMEWHERE:

After reading that, I went into Settings in the Mini. I didn't think my Notes had ever been asscociated with Gmail BUT I had occasionally emailed a Note via my AOL account on the Mini, so I looked in "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and under AOL I saw that Notes had been togggled off. It must not have been like that before or I prpbably wouldn't have been able to email out a Note as I had done preveiously, so I toggled it on.
Lo and behold--ALL MY NOTES REAPPEARED in Notes!! Whew!!!
I notice that Settings>Notes>Default Account now says AOL, not My iPad like it did when my Notes were missing, so I assume AOL was how it was set originally.

I have a 3GS and when I store something in notes, hoping it will stay there, it gets emailed to me! I have gone through every permutation and combination in Settings but am stumped. How can I get it to stay there as it does on my iPad!

I just recently( today) Installed FF4, Everything works great but the "App Taps", I tried to Pin Funny-junk (I was on the site when I figured out you could pin tabs) to the App Taps and it didn't load back as a App tab, Just a regular Tab on the next start up. I went up to the red X and clicked it to close Firefox(thought I would throw this in in-case someone says it might be because of a Bad exit way like task manenger or something)

If you have a 3G you can't use iCloud as iCloud requires iOS 5 or higher and the 3G cannot be updated beyond iOS 4.2.1.
If you have a 3GS, update it to iOS 6 by connecting it to iTunes. If you aren't prompted to update, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Check for Update. After updating you can set it up as shown here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html.
