Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. From the day 01/04/2014, I can not even update the apps on my iPad 4 or buy via my iPad. The same happens with the iPad mini ... My internet connection being excellent. I usually can get with the devices on the Internet, the App Store, enter into any service of any Cloud Apps. But I can not update or buy apps App What is happening?

My ipod touch has a permanent image of the end of a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an icon of ITunes. I can't reset using the two button method, and ipod does not appear on itunes when I plug it into the computer - and nothing else happens either. Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have been on the Apple Support page for several hours now and cannot find my exact circumstance and other suggestions have yet to help me. I purchased a locked ipod touch and when I plug it into my laptop itunes says "Itunes could not connect to ipod because it is locked with a passcode". The guy I bought it from told me the password but I failed to write it down and remember it and he has since moved so I can't find him. I have tried putting it in DFU mode and I can get it there, but then Itunes does not show the pop-up that everyone has said will come up with the alert about an ipod trying to restore itself so I cannot get it to do so. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

AMWhen in DFU mode and connected to the computer iTunes does not say anything but iTunes will see the iPod and you can restore the iPod via iTunes. When in recovery mode and you connect, iTunes will say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

I have a problem with the iTunes Store, I have an ipod and an iphone 2. I have a PC with Windows Vista Home Premium 2007, entering into iTunes Store on the main screen I get only AppStore, Podcast and iTunes U. In my screen I get only ipad2 Podcast, iTunes U Downloads. My problem is I can not access any application to download music, videos, books, etc..
ITunes will be installed wrong or what should I do to activate these options?Go to the front page of the Store, and click Change Country. Make sure it is set to the country where you actually are.
Then you will be able to see everything that is for sale in your country, which, depending where you live, might or might not include music. -
When I got my ipod I made an account with iTunes right from my ipod.Yesterday, I made a password lock to get into my ipod and I couldn't get into it even though I did the correct one. Now it says"connect to iTunes" BUT I can't because I never registered on the computer. I've tried holding the home and sleep/wake button for 10 sec and then only the home for 5sec and that might have reset it, but it didn't help. If any of you guys know what to do so I can unlock it I would appreciate it VERY much.

I'm running iTunes 10.5 on my Macbook Pro and software 4.1 on my 2g iPod touch and having problems getting photo's to sync. Same error, "iPod can't be synced req'd file can't be found". Tried deleting the photo cache, restoring the iPod etc but to no avail.

the app store on my brand new ipod touch offers me majority apps that cannot be used on my software. how do i find apps that will work with 6.1.5? this is frustrating, especially when purchased brand new for christmas.

When I try to update apps on my iPad, it asks me for my mothers password and displays her apple ID. How do I change it to ask for my apple id and password??? I am signed into the store and iCloud with my apple id. I am not signed into ITunes, the store on the ipad, or icloud under her name. WIERD???
There is no featured tab in my iTunes store. . . and everywhere it shows me signed in. I had downloaded an app for my mother on HER ipad, and that is the only app I have done for her. It shows up on my phone, and now I cannot update any of my apps. I uninstalled that app on my phone, but when I want to update ones I have installed on my phone with my appleid, she keeps showing up.

Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account. Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices. You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.

Think about it... She plugged it in to another computer, she doesn't remember what she did (yeah, right), and now your iPod is not being recognized by your computer...
