Tried to update to IOS 8 today and phone froze during the update, from reading lots and lots of articles on the internet I have discovered that it is in recovery mode (with a blue itunes logo). i have no idea why, but the new update for iphone did not work when i was downloading last night and the phone put itself into recovery mode. i havent synched it with my computer for a while and theres tons of stuff on there that i cant afford to lose if i choose to restore.
after doing a bit of research i found iNdependence and iFuntastic. iNdependence constantly displays 'Status: disconnected waiting for iphone' so i cant do anything on it and iFuntastic i can not find where abouts to click to get the phone out of recovery mode.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad

Error 9 indicates USB connection problem.

That usually indicates a hardware failure. If you can return it and get your money back, do so. Otherwise, make an appointment at the genius bar and get the phone replaced or buy a new one.
