How can I get just my home page to come up when Firefox starts. I don't want to see all the pages for my extensions plus the "Welcome to Firefox Page." I have 5 pages open every time that I don't want.

This happens each and every time Firefox opens, whether there is a new update or not. I currently have these extensions disabled until I can resolve this issue.
Open Firefox preferences/options. On the General tab you can specify what Firefox should do when it starts. I would guess that you have "Show my windows and tabs from last time" selected. Select "Show my home page" and set your home page in the text box.

How can I get just a page border without having a border around every paragraph? I just want a border around the perimeter of the page.
Assuming you are using Pages 5, you haven't said:
1. Select multiple paragraphs > Text > Layout > Borders & Rules > choose a line > select a thickness > select the 4th Positon (all around) > Offset
or
2. Inseert a rectangular shape > Resize to suit > Format > Fill > No fill > Border > Line > select thickness/color > Arrange > Stay on Page > Text Wrap > None
If you want that on every page
Menu > Arrange > Section Masters > Move Object to Section Master
Pages will not be able to use fonts that are on your PC (I suppose?) if it doesn't have them. Obviously.
Just as your PC will not be able to use the Mac's fonts.

All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library regardless if you select a single album or folder of photos to be transferred or multiple albums or folders. The photos on the albums or folders of photos include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. The photos are not duplicated taking up double the storage space. This way you can view the photos in an album or folder of photos only by selecting the album or folder, or all photos in all albums or folders by selecting Photo Library.
Makes more sense when transferring multiple albums or folders of photos which cannot be changed when transferring only a single album or folder of photos.
The same applies with iTunes and music playlists. A song can't be in a playlist unless it is in the main iTunes library. Placing a song in a playlist does not duplicate the song. -

Right now, in order to see my videos I have to share iPhoto albums/etc.. from within iTunes. this mixes them up within the "Photo" app. Don't get me wrong, that is great, at least I can see them there in an album I made for "Home Movies". but I would like to know if there is a way to make them visible to the "Video" app which has catagories like "Podcast" & "Music Videos".

Whenever I switch from My Music to iTunes Store and then back to My Music, it sends me to the top of My Music instead of where I was when I switched. How can I get it to return to where I was when I switch out of and back into My Music instead of going back to the top?
Firefox will reload a page and reposition at the top if the copy in the cache has expired. However, that shouldn't happen right away.
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -
I have an Retina display MacBook Pro with HMDI out port. I also have an HDMI to Component cable with Audio Plugs. How can I get HDMI out to work with this cable when plugged into the MacBook Pro and connected to the TVs Component and Audio in ports.
Will not work. To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported. The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.

I was triggering a group of text fields to become disabled as well as gray. Below is the original script so that when the checkbox is checked, it causes several "Co" fields to be disabled and gray.

I am not new to computers or to macs, but I AM new to apps, and I'm struggling with learning how they work. I had noticed that they were no longer on my homepage, and then, in searching around for them, I saw them in settings. Then the question was: how the heck do I get them where I want them? Didn't even think about them being in iTunes! I love knowing I can shuffle the apps around there instead of trying to slide them from one home page to another (not easy in my view!).
I have to say that without this discussion board, I would never have figured out this iPad. 15 years ago I bought my first computer and learned the whole thing on my own without any tutoring, but this iPad is totally confusing. How can I get an ucropped image in a Custom Package when using Stroke and/or Border??
How can I get a picture in a Custom Package that has a Stroke and/or a border and get the image shown fully, and not cropped in one way or other?
When I add the stroke/border it adds them inside the cell, thereby altering the ratio of the area for the picture inside it, which crops it in some way. How can I get the image to be uncropped? The controls available seem to all be for the ration of the outside of the cell, but my image is inside the stroke/border and nothing seems to work on it directly ...

GaryPerhaps I misunderstood your requirement. I have been frustrated by LR print module and labs effectively squeezing individual shots into existing frames. So I have used LR2Mogrify to export (and then re-import) a 'new image' which manages the discrepancy between a crop and a cell of a different aspect ratio by adding padding - usually 'white' - around the image to a canvas corresponding to cell dimensions. Adding stroke borders can be accomplished in Mogrify inside or outside the image. A custom package, with multiple cell dimensions can be populated with images created in the corresponding aspect ratio(s) for the relevant cells.
I'm not aware of a way of automating the creation of cells in a page to dimensions which change with the crop as discovered - drag and drop images onto a blank page creates cells of the same standard size. -
A cannot read all the tabs because the tropical beach scene background at the top of my firefox screne is too busy with dark objects like palm tree trunks. How can I change the screen background so I can read my tabs more easily?

Here's something I can help with:
We plan on moving older photos to an external hard drive
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
Now you have two full versions of the Library.
3. On the Internal library, trash the Events you don't want there
Now you have a full copy of the Library on the External and a smaller subset on the Internal
Some Notes:
As a general rule: when deleting photos do them in batches of about 100 at a time. iPhoto can baulk at trashing large numbers at one go.
You can choose which Library to open: Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
You can keep the Library on the external updated with new imports using iPhoto Library Manager
