How can I get Lightroom 5.7 into the "Open With" menu on an external Harddrive?

Using Lightroom 5.7, I imported photo images as a .dng. I edited the images in lightroom. Then I dragged the file from the local Disk (C) to an external Hard drive (left panel of Library). When I look in the External harddrive, I would like to see thumbnails of the images. I think I would like to open the images in Lightroom but I cannot get Lightroom into the "Open With" dropdown menu. Photo shop, Adobe Reader and a bunch of Windows photo editing stuff is in there but I cant seem to get Lightroom into this menu.

The "open with" command is used to open images that are already in Lightroom in another external editor such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements or some other photo editing program. And you are opening an image that you are already seeing in Lightroom. So Lightroom won't be on the list and cannot be on the list because you are already looking at the images in Lightroom.
Concerning the images that you moved to the external hard drive, if you actually moved them using Lightroom then you should be able to see that external hard drive in the library module library tree and be able to choose that folder. Then the images will be in Lightroom and you can continue working on them. There doesn't need to be any "open with" to do that. If you moved those images some other way, please explain.

Good luck. It took me weeks to fix this when I had to do it. Your old ID branches out in lots of places. You may have to delete app and get them again, at least that is what Apple told me. Plus, all of your settings on your iPad that required any ID, will have to be changed. My old ID kept showing up in different places for weeks. Changing it on Apple.com is just the beginning.

My screenshots have stopped going to my clipboard. How can I get my screenshots back into the clipboard?

I use Command (⌘)-Shift-4 to grab screenshots of diagrams to make flashcards with on a daily basis. But now my screenshots have stopped going to my clipboard - and they don't paste into my flashcards.
Dropbox popped up and asked me if I wanted to use it to save my screenshots and I said No Thanks, but then right after that my screenshot function stopped working. I can still save shots to my desktop, but I'd love to not clutter my desktop. The screenshots are not going to dropbox either, I checked.
Can someone tell me how to get my screenshots to go back to going into my clipboard?

Thanks Lanny! I actually typed in the wrong command into my question - I meant to type what you mentioned. But I did end up figuring it out: for some reason the shortcut to screenshot into my clipboard changed. I was able to restore all my shortcut commands back to default and it worked again!

How can I get my iTunes playlists into the cloud?

I have made many playlists on my iphone and I am in the cloud but I cannot seem to get my playlists on to my ipad or my macbook computer. All my music is in the cloud but not the playlists. Can I use the cloud to get my playlists everywhere or must I sync (a bit hassle)?

Illustrator CS 6 won't paste into a text box/paragraph of text, instead pastes a new line of text in the upper left corner of my document. How can I get it to paste into the selected paragraph or highlighted text like normal?

I've done it a million times, I copy a selection of type...I select the type that I want to replace it with, and then I paste. Now, Illustrator will only paste the text as a "point text" (a single line) somewhere else on the artboard—it seems to always be the upper left corner of the art board.

In cases of sudden appearance of strangenesses, the list may be relevant, hopefully the easy part at the top.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

How can I get Firefox to stop saving the open tabs when it closes and reinstating them the next time it opens?

Even tho' I've set options for Firefox to delete history when it closes, it still remembers my open tabs and tries to reinstate them the next time it starts. This causes two problems: 1) it takes longer for Firefox to close, such that if I start it again a few sec later it is still running and won't restart; 2) it sometimes reopens websites I am no longer want when it next starts. The latter also makes the last sites I visited visible to the next user, which I (and I suspect most other users) want to avoid. I would like to turn this feature off since it is far more of a problem than a benefit!

I have the same problem.
My settings are already configured to "Show a blank page". It does show a blank page normally, but when FF crashes, it attempts to reload all the tabs from the previous session when it restarts. My version is: Firefox/3.6.13, and I'm running XP sp3 if that matters.

Somehow my iTunes app has been put into the trash. How can I get this and all of the stuff that was in it back to my Application folder? I try to drag it out of trash, but it won't work.

How can I get my materials back into EBP 5.5?

I have executed an initial replication of a single material into a clean EBP 5.5 (SRM 5.0) , i.e. no product master has ever existed
After changing MATERIAL filters in R3AC1 and afterwards replicating using R3AS I managed to get more materials into the EBP 5.5 but found out that my filter settings had to be changed. So i deleted all product master (COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_ALL) succesfully changed my filter and ran R3AS but no materials was replicated... I have checked SMQ1 and SMQ2 which were empty. I have even tried to go back to the starting point of replicating just the one material and still no luck (even synchronized filter with R/3). I have gone through a number of notes. I have gone into SMWP and there are some red lights but e.g. 'Adapter Status Information' and 'System Settings' looks fine.
How can I get my materials back into EBP 5.5? Is it a problem of changing filters and doing intial replications continuosly?
While writing the above I have just now created a new material in ECC 6.0 and set up the filter to replicate just this new material and it was succesfully replicated to EBP 5.5 with product master! I guess something has to be cleaned up before I can get my materials back into EBP 5.5??? How???

I managed to replicate all my materials with the broad range filter definition after working my way through all the errors in SMW01. However, I still don't understand why I couldn't make an initial replication of a single material (previously deleted)... anyway it is working now

Hi,
you can define variable (page attribiue) on the second page with the same name. You can realise the Navigation with Button ther started onInputProcesing routine. In onInputProcesing you have to call navigation->set_parameter with attribut name as parameter and then starting the navigation. If you have checked the auto property on the variable on second page and varable have same name, the value of variable should be transported.

"Current browser"? When viewing anything, or just when using an APEX app?
Ans .. Just when using apex app....even if the apex app is minimised ..The current browser will be the one where I am using apex app...
What i am looking for some scheduler .. to check ..in the table every 5 minute for change if there is a change..then a popup alert be shown...
Split it into [at least] 2 components, database and browser. I'd expect someone calling themself a "DBA Architect" to have some ideas about the database side of things, even if not clued up on JavaScript and AJAX?
I dont think its a database isssue... When i say to check every 5 minutes ..it could be easily done via dbms_scheduler ...I am having issue in getting the popup alert message...

How do I get my tabs back into the main window?

I've had a problem with an add-on displaying a small extra window every time I open a session for some months now: I know you're supposed to try disabling and re-enabling every add-on you've got to find out which one is responsible, but this is a work computer and with all the add-ons I have, it would take too long, so I've just closed the extra window every time and got on with my work. However, for some reason today my forty-odd tabs have all opened in the small extra window, which has no tab bar, navigation bar or menu button. How do I get my tabs back into the main window of Firefox, or alternatively get that window to behave like a normal Firefox window so I can use it?

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

The problem is defining what it even means to “embed” a PDF file in the body of an e-mail, especially if you are dealing with a multiple page PDF file.
E-mail is either pure text, rich text (something akin to RTF in Word), or HTML. PDF is not compatible with any of these. Thus, to embed a PDF file, something has to be converted and that means the PDF would be converted to a less graphically rich raster format. But is that what you would really want?
I think that the MacOS and iOS e-mail clients do under some circumstances place an attached PDF file within HTML segments and by clicking on same, you get the equivalent of extracting the full PDF file, but I have no real experience with that.
Another alternative is HTML with a proxy image with a hyperlink to an external PDF file that is invoked when you click on the hyperlink.
Perhaps you can explain what you are really trying to accomplish and what the recipient of such an e-mail's actual experience would be?
