How can i get lion 10.75

How can I download lion 10.7.4.

If you're running an earlier version of 10.7, run the Software Update pane of System Preferences. If you're running Mac OS X 10.6.6 to 10.6.8, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for it.

What model of Mac?  I have a MBP running 10.7.3 and do not have that issue.  From the other couple of posts I've seen about it, it seems to be maybe an issue with some iMacs?  Have your tried searching the Lion or iMac forums for similar issues, just to see if anyone has hit on why it is happening?

  • How can I get LION to let me see the side of folders?

How can I get LION to let me see the side of folders?
and files? at the bottom of the window as in snow leopard.
I miss this and rely on it to monitor the available space on the hard drives ect.

Dov, that is close but not in the status bar but at the bottom of the volder window. Surely , everyone can't have forgotten snow leopard and leopard et al already, where you could could to display at the bottom of all ovened folders to see the status of the the files and hard drive. Boy I WISH I HAD A SCREEN SHOT OF WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.
Yes you can get the info from get info and in the list view. But we use to be able to have a line at the bottom that gave a running total, which to me was very useful as I throughput mondo files to discrete drives thoughout my network for sorting photos by topic to seperate drives.
ah here we go a screen shot off my macbook running snow leopard, it is that grey  bar at the bottom which says "4 items 137,26 GB available",that I am wanting in the LION window bottom.

  • How can I get Lion re installed after crash and no recovery disk?

I bought Lion some time ago I did not do a recovery disk and now I had a huge crash. I started over with Snow Leopard cause that's all I had. How can I get Lion re installed?

Make sure you're up to 10.6.8 through Software Updates, and then re-download Lion from the App Store.
Incidentally, many Macs (from 2010 models onwards) have the ability to run Internet Recovery, even if your original hard drive crashed, which will allow you to re-download and install Lion directly from the internet.
But the best way is always to have a local backup of your system drive.

  • HT200027 I am still running Leopard Mac OS X 10.5.8.  How can I get Lion Mac OS X 10.6, so I can update to Mountain Lion?

I am still running Leopard Mac OS X 10.5.8.  How can I get Lion Mac OS X 10.6, so I can update to Mountain Lion?

    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
If you need to purchase Snow Leopard you can still purchase a copy from Apple's online store's telesales agents.[1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753) or Customer Service and Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775.] Ask for a Sales Representative.
Third-party sources for Snow Leopard are:
    Snow Leopard from Amazon.com
    Snow Leopard from eBay
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store.
If you need to purchase Lion call 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. Ask for a Sales Representative. They will check your Apple ID, and email you a code and instructions.  The cost is $29.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download.
Be sure your computer meets the minimum requirements:
Apple - OS X Mountain Lion - Read the technical specifications.
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps - App compatibility and feature support for OS X & iOS.

  • How can I get Lion to work with label printer- Brother  QL 570 or Dymo 450 Turbo?

I can't get Lion to work with label printers, either Brother QL 570 or Dymo Turbo 450. I want to uninstall Lion and use Snow Leopard unless there is a way to make Lion work with these devices. Any ideas?

Dymo has released new drivers since Lion came out. Have you downloaded and
installed them from the Dymo website?
Some people have said that their Dymo label printers were set to off line by Lion, but
worked fine after going to Print & Scan, selecting the Dymo printer, and making sure
it was active/on-line. I had to do that with my Dymo 450 Label Writer.
I cannot offer any tips about Brother, but you may wish to check their website
    for latest drivers.

  • I got my MBP on june 16 so how can i get lion for free?

i got my macbook pro for birthday and i read that if you purchased it after june 6th you can get lion for free but how do i do that?

The wording on this page seems convoluted to me:
"Users must request their Up-to-Date upgrade within 30 days of purchase of their Mac computer. Customers who purchase a qualifying Mac between June 6, 2011 and the date when Lion is available in the Mac App Store will have 30 days from Lion’s official release date to make a request."
If I purchased my shiny new Macbook Pro on June 11, according to the first part of the statement, I must request my Up-to-Date upgrade by July 11, yet the second part of the statement states I will have 30 days from Lion's official release date to make my request.
I am hoping the second statement is the correct one. It would be helpful if Apple fixed this inconsistency...

  • I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard to go to Lion. I went form 10.3.5 to 10.6.2 then upgraded to 10.6.8 and am now being told I need 10.7 to download Lion. My software is up to date so how can I get Lion? It also tells me I need 2gb when I have more!

I have been trying to upgrade to OS Lion but am unable to as it requires 10.7  I have 10.6.8 and this is the latest upgrade I can get. How can I upgrade to Lion?
I have all the other requriements, except 10.7. How do I get that?

I just re-checked and I dont have enough ram from the outset. So the first thing I need to do is get that installed.
If you know how I can delete this thread to stop wasting people's time, let me know.
Sorry guys, it's back to the drawing board for me.

  • How can I get lion on my intel mac

How do I get a copy of Lion for my intel power mac?

No PowerMac has Intel CPU on it.   If it is a G5 it is a CPU made by IBM, not Intel.  If it is G4, it is made by Motorola, and G3 is made by IBM.     10.7 will not run on any PowerMac.    Neither will 10.6.  Apple's transition to Intel was even more confusing for various Intel models:
    1. iMac, read the EMC# on the bottom of the foot of the iMac.  If it is it is white plastic with a right side of LCD loading optical drive, they will have an EMC# on the base which is enumerated 2104, 2105, 2110, 2114, 2118, 2111, 2133, or 2134 if they are Intel.  Otherwise they are PowerMac G5 if everything else is the same.
    2. Mac Mini, will have at minimum 4 USB ports on the rear if they are Intel.  Otherwise they are PowerMac.
    3. Mac Pro (Intel) has a cheesegrater case with two optical drive bays (not necessarily both being filled with a drive).  PowerMac G5s only have one bay.
    4. MacBook labelled below the screen is Intel.  Powerbook and iBook are PowerMac.
    5. eMac is PowerMac only.

    Hi,
I have a brand new Macbook Pro provided with Lion. I had to reinstall Snow Leopard, and now, when I am trying to get Lion from the Apple App Store, it request $29.99 ... I can I get back Lion for free ?
    Cheers

Lion should stll be on the Recovery partition on your hard drive, unless you completely repartitioned the drive. If not, you should be able to use Lion Internet Recovery. See:

  • How can I get Lion after purchasing completely?

    Hi,
I bought Lion OS X 10.7 yesterday and all of the processes are completed.
Then Where can I get this?
I didnt get any email contains download links and the order details on mac online store show nothing about this.
So I just want to return it.
    Any helps???

After you buy this from the Apple Store, it can take a number of business days to receive the redemption code for your purchase. The Apple STore must communicate with another part of Apple and they will generate two emails to you. One has a locked pdf with your redemption code inside, the other will have the password to unlock the pdf. You can then redeem the code in the Mac App STore on your Mac.

  • How can i get lion on my MacBook?

I downloaded the new iOS on my iPhone and iPad and now I can't sync it to iTunes on my computer because I have an old iTunes version and I can't download the new one because of the software I have on my computer. How can I upgrade to Lion?

    Hello ..
Your Mac must be running v10.6.8 to upgrade to v10.7 Lion.
You will have to upgrade to v10.6 Snow Leopard first in order to upgrade to v10.7 Lion.
Before purchasing Snow Leopard and Lion, make sure your Mac meets the requirements > System requirements for OS X Lion and Mac OS X v10.6
Snow Leopard is available from the Apple online store >  Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.)
But v10.7 Lion must be purchased from Apple directly by calling:  800-767-2775

  • How can I get Lion to recognize my boot camp partition.

Yesterday morning I found my mac suffered from a b-tree failure and was unable to access OS X 10.6. I ended up booting into my Boot camp partition of Windows XP and backed it up then reinstalled Snow leopard. Then I upgraded to Lion, saw it fail due to a partitioning issue, created a 2gb partition called Mac HD 2 (by shrinking mac hd), saw i could install but not full install. So I created another partition and installed Lion successfully. Got into Lion and shrunk my 2x 2GB partitions into one 4GB partition. My Windows XP hard drive boot camp partition was still on my desktop. I can access all the files but I can not boot into it. When I hold down the option key there is only Mac HD or Recovery partition.
Is there any way to get the boot camp partition to work?
I did notice that when I was looking through the settings I could choose which HD was the default boot option. Mac hd with 10.7 and a folder called Windows XP were both available.

We also cannot get Robohelp to recognize our FrameMaker installation.
We are using Robohelp 9  and Framemaker 11.
We are in the process of moving all of our Robohelp content to Framemaker, but our project team still needs CHM files for the next release or so.  So we figured we could move our content to Frame 11, then import the Frame content into Robohelp when we needed to generate the CHM files.
The process works great when we use RH 10 and Frame 11, but we get the following error when we use RH 9:
"This operation cannot be completed without FrameMaker.  Install FrameMaker and try again."
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Frame 11 and RH 9, but am still getting the same error.  Buying a set of new Robohelp 10 licenses probably isn't an option.
    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Sue

  • How can I get Lion to show password text in plain characters?

In all earlier versions of the Mac OSX, I had the option of showing at least new passwords in plain text instead of dots. Was an advantage over Windoze.
I also had the option NOT to show password text.
Since I moved up to Lion, all passwords show as dots. I find no option to do otherwise. Can this be changed?

I have the same problem.  Does anyone have an answer?
