I have a brand new Macbook Pro provided with Lion. I had to reinstall Snow Leopard, and now, when I am trying to get Lion from the Apple App Store, it request $29.99 ... I can I get back Lion for free ?

Lion should stll be on the Recovery partition on your hard drive, unless you completely repartitioned the drive. If not, you should be able to use Lion Internet Recovery. See:

I have a macbook pro from last year, got it around march. Back then i installed all the apps you get with macbook, imovie, garageband and iphoto. I tried iPhoto, but was completely lost and i just thought that i might as well just delete the app if i don't use it, so i did. Now, that one of my friends have a macbook and use iPhoto i understand how the whole thing works, so i would like to get it back. Only problem, how? I go to app store and purchases, but it's not on the list, imovie and garageband are there though. Now i search for iPhoto in the searchbar, and it says that i need to pay for the app. So my question is, how do i get iPhoto back?

You use your original install media. If you have PSE 11 you can download the trial and enter your serial number into that. For recent older versions, if you bought a download from adobe, if you go to the main page of adobe.com and click on My Adobe, you may still have a download link there. If your laptop came with PSE pre-installed, check your recovery partition to see if there's an installer there.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

HT204406 I bought iTunes Match enabled it on my ipad now the 1800 songs in my library are gone and all I have is the music my daughter purchased from itunes how can I get them back. for her ipad.

I have ipad 3 & daughter new ipad mini with RD. She has nano and I have classic. Her nano syncs to her own laptop and mine to my desktop. I bought iTunes Match and authorised both iPads and both iPods. I have now enabled iTunes Match in my ipad and was warned it would replace my library. I pressed "enable" and now the 1800 songs in my library are gone and all I've got is the music my daughter bought from iTunes. What have I done wrong and how can I get my songs back. When I bought iTunes Match I got 1 e-mail confirming subscription and another providing receipt but nothing else no links etc. any assistance would be appreciated.

You can only upload music from your computer's iTunes, you can't do it from an iOS device - when you subscribe to iTunes Match on your computer it should have scanned your music library on it and matched or uploaded any non-iTunes purchased music to it.
Do you have copies of those tracks anywhere e.g. on an iOS device or on your backup of your downloads/library ? If they are iTunes purchases then they should be in the cloud. If they were copied from CDs or bought from other sources then if they are only on an iOS device (i.e. you don't have them on a backup) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

You cannot get the screen replaced for free...that is an out of warranty accidental damage issue. The iPhone 4s will be replaced with another for $199 at an Apple store genius bar. Be sure to make a backup of your content, best done in iCloud so the Apple genius can restore your content to the replacement iPhone.

No the program started June 6th per the Lion - Get up to date program. You will need to pay $29.99 like the rest of us. Whoever told you it was free, if you have that in writing then contact that person or take it up with them personally. I seriously doubt an Apple employee would have stated this mis-information.

The apps that were under the 5 year of the App Store banner are no longer free. They are now, once again, for fee apps and that banner is gone from the store front. It was A limited time deal and appears to have ended. Those app developers were not going to give their apps away forever.

I need to check a few other things...
Click on 'Mail' in the upper left corner next to the Apple ()
Click Preferences
Click the 'Accounts' tab
Make sure your iCloud account is highlighted in the column on the left.
In the account information section what does it say next to:
Incoming Mail Server?
Outgoing Mail Server?
Also, did you use MobileMe before the iCloud?

Right click on your desktop and choose "viewer options". Adjust the spacing and the size of your icons and you should be able to see the size of your drive(s) and the free space available on each drive with the exception of your bootcamp drive which will only show the overall size of the drive you have it on. This may be different if you only have one system drive (like on a Mac Book Pro) with a partition containing bootcamp on it. this may only show you the overall capacity, I can't say for sure though as I only use a Mac Pro with 4 seperate Hard Drives which are showing both overall capacity and free space available. Go to the App Store where you can purchase copies of the apps. You cannot get them for free. The ones installed belonged to the previous owner. You will need to purchase using your Apple ID.
