How can I get more freedom from the drum sounds?

I am looking for a more free, less repetative sound. Before I venture to purchase an external kit or drum software I wanted to first see if there was a way to maximize my freedom within garage band itself. is there any way I can program the built-in keyboard to play drum sounds automatically as hit the key or does it have to be a tiresome process of recording each individual drum sound and then somehow making them all work together in a loop? The latter sounds like a no option option.

To add to the above question. What I am asking is if there is a way, through the built in keyboard, to make many drum sounds coalesce together in sort of the same way as you could on a drum machine. And then I would record this coalescing of sounds and use them as the drum sound for the song.

    How can I get all photos from the camera roll, and all new pictures taken, to get on the photostream so they can share between iphone and ipad?

    When turning PhotoStream on with photos available in the Camera Roll, only photos captured by the iPhone or saved on the iPhone are placed in the PhotoStream.
    For all photos that were in the Camera Roll prior to turning PhotoStream on, import the photos with your computer and add the photos to your PhotoStream on your computer.

    If you do Cmd+Shift+3 you'll get a full screen image saved to your desktop as a jpg file.
    Also, you can use Cmd+Shift+4 and you'll get a cursor which you click+drag to draw a box. When you release the drag the boxed in area will be saved to the Desktop as a jpg file.

    Where in iCloud are they?  If they are in your backup, restore the backup to your device.  If they are in photo stream, sign into your iCloud account on your iOS device or computer and enable photo stream.

    Restore a backup of your phone that was made while the photos were still on it.  It should include your camera roll photos.  This explains how to restore an iCloud backup: iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud.

  • How can i get more info about the sent data in RTP?

    Hello.
    I'm working with the examples AVTransmitt2 and AV Receive2 and i want to get more information about the data that it is being sent to de receiver side. In AVTrasmitt2 i only see a calling to processor.start();. How could i know each packet that AvTransmit2 sends to the other side. I want info like the size of the data, the quality, format, etc..

    Hi!
    As I mentioned above. RTPSocketAdapter has two inner classes, SockOutputStream and SockInputStream.
    SockOutputStream have a write method which is called when RTP data is sent over the NET. SockInputStream have a read method which is called when RTP data is received.
    If you for instance want to know exactly what is sent you can parse the byte array that comes into write.
    Like this:
    * An inner class to implement an OutputDataStream based on UDP sockets.
    class SockOutputStream implements OutputDataStream {
         DatagramSocket sock;
         InetAddress addr;
         int port;
         boolean isRTCP;
         public SockOutputStream(DatagramSocket sock, InetAddress addr, int port, boolean isRTCP) {
              this.sock = sock;
              this.addr = addr;
              this.port = port;
         public int write(byte data[], int offset, int len) {
              if(isRTCP){
                   parseAndPrintRTCPData(data);
              }else{
                   parseAndPrintRTPData(data);
              try {
                   sock.send(new DatagramPacket(data, offset, len, addr, port));
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   return -1;
              if(debug){
                   System.out.println(debugName+": written "+len+" bytes to address:port: "+addr+":"+port);
              return len;
    private void parseAndPrintRTPData(byte[] data) {
         // part of header, there still left SSRC and CSRC:s
         byte[] rtpHeader = new byte[8];
         System.arraycopy(data, 0, rtpHeader, 0, rtpHeader.length);
         ByteBuffer buffer = ByteBuffer.wrap(rtpHeader);
         int word = buffer.getInt();

         System.out.println("reception report count: "+rc);
         // payload type, which is 200 in this case (SR=200)
         int pt = (0x00FF0000 & word) >>> 16;
         System.out.println("payload type: "+pt);
         // length

         // sender's octet count
         int nbrOfSentBytes = buffer.getInt();
         System.out.println("sender's octet count: "+nbrOfSentBytes);
    }I added a boolean isRTCP to the constructor so to know what sort of data is sent.
    Hope this clarifies things.

    If your phone is disabled because you forgot your passcode, restore the phone on the last computer it was synced with. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.

  • How can I get Twitter to make the "Tweet" sound

    Why doesn't Twitter want to "Tweet" on my iPhone4 iOS5 I have been through Settings > Sounds >Tweet and selected "Tweet" as the sound to be used as its rather sweet
    Under Settings > Notifications > Twitter sounds are turned ON.  But when I get a Twitter Notification the sound produced is the "Tri Tone"
    When I post a Tweet there is no sound.  Can anyone explain how to get Twitter to "Tweet" the birdy sound?

    Interestingly I never get any sound when I send tweets. Just wish I'd saved a few pennies and not bought tones apps when I thought I could use them for Twitter. I have managed to select a different notification sound for texts, so I'm ok I suppose as I have two different notification sounds rather than one shared by SMS and Twitter. I'm one of those people who likes things to work as they should and worry away at a problem until I find a solution. I'll see if Twitter can offer hope! Not going to hold my breath, though. I find it odd that Apple haven't asked Twitter to sort this out.

  • How can I get a refund from the app store?

    Hi,
    I bought an game from the app store for 4.99. The description was written to be completely misleading and misrepresentative of the product (BADASS DUCATI: Street Monster).
    I notice the same developer has a number of apps. on the store following the same format. Also there are more under a different developer name.
    I emailed apple for a refund. No response (disappointing). I emailed the developer. No response (no surprise). Surely apple must have some responsibility to ensure that apps are correctly represented in their store and, by taking a commission on the transaction, should take some ownership of the contract of sale?
    Any suggestions how to get a refund? how to report these bogus apps so that apple can clean the shelves of rogue developers?
    Regardless of the success of a refund,  to see the apps get pulled and the developer banned would at least demonstrate that apple care about their consumers and are not supporting the app store as a platform for conmen.

    There are no refunds.  Sorry.
