How can I get music purchased on my iPhone to iTunes?
I recently bought an album via iTunes Music Store on my iPhone 4S, but I can't seem to figure out why it isn't syncing to my iTunes account on my computer. I am not using iTunes Match cloud or anything. This was happening even with automatic downloads set on iTunes, but I have since turned it off because I have bandwidth limits for my satellite Internet. One of the reasons I bought the album on my iPhone was so I could download it at a public WiFi.
Any ideas?
Finally got my search terms correct and found this answer to my own question.

Hello, I want to restore a backup from this afternoobut in i-tunes it is not visseble. When I'll look on te pc: (username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ it's there! How can I get this backup to my iphone or itunes? Thanks in advance!
Follow the steps in this article to restore from iTunes back up:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Since you say you cant see the back up in iTunes you should be able to see it when following the last step where it says for iTunes 10.7 or earlier. Dont worry as this step also works for iTunes 11. -
My computer crashed and I had to reinstall windows 7, how can I get the playlist on my iphone onto itunes?
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
If for some reason you have failed to do this, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchass from the ipod. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases -
lost my purchased files, my computer was reset, how can I get these back without paying again??
Outside the USA, that is the situation at present: downloads are once only and you are expected to take responsibility for backing up your purchases.
In the USA music can be downloaded again ('iTunes in the Cloud') - Apple's page on this also says 'TV shows' but doesn't mention music. Other countries as still waiting on rights negotiations for this factility.
It's possible that if you ask iTunes Support nicely they may agree to let you re-download as a one-off concession, but they are in no way obliged to do this. Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'iTunes' in the first column and then 'iTunes Store' in the second column. In the third column click 'Purchases, Billing & Redemption' and proceed from there. -
How can I get a song into my iPhone with iTunes match on?
I have some spanish learning tracks, and it wont upload to the cloud.
I cannot access my music in the sync mode of my phone. it just says I have match on.
How can I get these track on my phone so I can learn spanish?Much like the act of putting your old chumbawumba cd in a box in the attic to make space on your shelf for newer and better music, you should cleanse your iphone of old music files regularly. Songs aren't gone forever, you can still dust them off and listen to them later if the mood strikes.
Open settings click general>usage>storage>music>edit
Then delete all locally stored music
If your in the mood you can always download that catchy "I get knocked down, but I get up again... You ain't ever gonna keep me down" track and rock out like its 1998 (or whenever that **** song came out) -
How can i get music from my old iphone to the new one
how do i transfer my music nd pictures to my new iphone from the old one?
All music on your old iPhone should be in your iTunes library on your computer and can be transferred to your new iPhone in the same way - via the iTunes sync process.
All photos on your old iPhone that were transferred from your computer should remain on your computer. These photos can be transferred to your new iPhone in the same way - via the iTunes sync process.
Photos/videos in your old iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. After being imported by your computer, they can be transferred to your new iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process.

How can I transfer music from Mac to iPhone WITHOUT iTunes?
I'd like to transfer (not sync, just transfer) songs from my Mac to my iPhone. How can I do this without going through iTunes software?
I know there was another software I used to do this with... something like iFun or iExplorer; but neither of those will transfer from iPhone to Mac. I've searched the web several times for such software, came up empty."The only reason it would delete songs on your phone that you had no physical copy of would be if you tried to sync it with a different iTunes library."
Yes, I know that. That's why I mentioned I have two computers. I also know you can redownload songs from iTunes. The songs don't come from iTunes. I don't know why you wish to devolve my query into a legal battle (like I'm sure you're a copyright lawyer for the RIAA) but number one, who said they were copyrighted songs? Not me. Number two, even if they were, yes the copies are mine if I choose to make copies. At least in my country, that's the case. That fact does not change if I lose the original, if the original source is unplayable, or if it burned up in a fire. Are you an international copyright attorney too? If so, you're not a very good one. And I posted a simple query. I didn't post it to be told to buy a different phone. If you can't answer the query, then why are you here? Just to argue for iTunes and copyrights? I already mentioned that there is software that exists to do what I want, so I obviously do not need to buy another phone. I just want better software at this point. -
I have been having several annoying problems with iTunes for the past several months...
1) Library content not showing after folder relocation:
First, in order to free up space on my C drive, I wanted to relocate my iTunes folder to a new 1TB hard drive (F) I installed. I did so according to Apple's instructions online, but despite setting the new location to be my library in my iTunes preferences, the content never shows up in the iTunes Library in the actual application. This is my most annoying problem, so please someone help me to resolve this! Thanks.
2) Albums purchased on iPhone 5 only sometimes sync with PC
I have purchased a few albums on my iPhone 5 and only some of them have synced to my PC when I connect my iPhone via USB. They don't even appear under the "Purchases" playlist in the iTunes Store. So, I have content right now on my iPhone that I can only access via my iPhone, and some of the music has gone missing. One or two tracks from albums are not there despite me purchasing full albums at a time... This is also pretty dang annoying and prevents me from trying a solution I'd looked up to fix my third problem...
3) Album artwork mixed up/mismatched on iPhone 5
This is pretty self-explanatory. Ony day my album artwork decided to play musical chairs. So now, for example, it shows Andrew W.K.'s bloody face when I listen to Zedd, and shows Skrillex when I listen to Symphony X. I read online that if you desync your content on you iPhone so that none of the music is there any longer, and then resync content from your computer, it will fix this issue. I'm hesitant to apply this solution until I can fix the ones above though, because I don't want to lose content that I have legally paid for.
My final problem:
4) Apple charges $20 for a support phone call for iTunes
Seriously, WTH? I hope the community can help me out. Thanks all!1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

So I had an iPhone 3gs and I had all of my music on there. it slowly started breaking until the point where I was forced to buy the iPhone 4. So before the 3gs died I never had a chance to sync it with itunes. Now I am syncing the 4 with itunes on my new computer and I was wondering if the music would come back into that library so the it will be on my 4?

Can I share one iTunes account for my iPad and two I phones? If so, how can I get the purchased apps and music on all three devices? How do I sync all the devices to have the same music and apps?
You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5262\
However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on. -
I recently lost my iphone to which had of alot purchased music on it, but when i've come to retrieve the music from my itunes and the music is not there? The purchases show on my history but the music is nowhere? How can i get my purchases back please?

If the app is G-Toolkit and you have a Gmail app on your iPhone, delete the Gmail app. Apparently the G-Tool kit is tied to a Gmail app. From searching the web my impression is that G-Toolkit is not spyware and is from a legitimate company that produces app for several platforms.

I downloaded and paid for an app on my ipad, how can I get it free on my iphone without using itunes as my laytop is broken. I cannot seem to find the purchase tab in app store? I am logged in using the same ID
First, the app must be universal...designed for both iPhone/iPad:
Tap App Store.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Tap Updates.
Tap Purchased on the resulting screen.
Locate the app in your Purchased tab.
Tap the download icon.
The app will begin downloading and you'll be taken back to your home screen.
