  • How do I get the app store icon back on my phone?

I accidentally deleted the app store icon on my phone and can't figure out how to download it back on to my phone

Default apps are part of the iOS and cannot be deleted.  Search all home screens and all folders and/or search for it with Spotlight, that will tell you what folder it's in.
Also check Settings > General > Restrictions to see if it has been restricted.
If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

  • How do I get the App Store icon back on my iPad?

I accidentally deleted the App Store from my iPad, an original one.  Any ideas on getting it back?  Thanks, Jeannie

It's not possible to delete any of the bundled apps, so you may have just moved it to another home screen or inadvertenly dropped it in a folder. For either of those situations, you can either search for the "app store" or reset the Home Screen Layout; Settings -> General -> Reset
The only other way you'd lose the App Store is if "installing apps" is turned off in Settings -> General -> Restrictions

  • How can I restore the app store icon ?

how can i restore the app store icon ?

        Hey Dan97!
Uh-oh. Sounds like we need to get on the job and solve the case of the missing app store icon. With that said, I've got you covered.
Right off the bat, there are a couple of different ways we can do this. First, let's start things off simple. Go to settings > general > restrictions. If restrictions are enabled, toggle "Installing Apps" back on. Did the app store reappear? If not, no worries. Next, go to settings > general > reset > reset home screen layout. How did thing work out this time? Hopefully well. If neither of these steps worked, please let me know when the icon first disappeared and if it coincided with any changes. I look forward to it!

  • I'm not able to download the App Store with a software update. How can I get the App Store on my Mac?

I have some problems to get the App Store on my mac. Every time when I do a Software Update, there is no App Store to download.
How can I get the App Store on my Mac?
It's because I want to set OSX Lion on my MacbookPro.
    Thanks!

As you have 10.5.8 you need to upgrade to at least 10.6.6 to get the App Store as this was the 1st version it came with.
A workaround is to get a friend who has 10.6.6 or better to download Lion for you without installing it. You can create an App Store account on the friend's computer I think to do this. Copy the Lion installer from that computer to a USB stick or burn it to DVD and you should be able to install it on your own computer, I think. You might have to create an empty partition on your own computer first for Lion installation as I'm not sure that it will install over Leopard.

  • How can I get my App Store sign in to match my newly updated Apple ID?

How can I get my App Store sign in to match my newly updated Apple ID?
The old ID is already grayed in the box for my ID and it does not allow me to type in my new ID.

I appreciate your effort and realize I did not provide a lot of background.
My issue began when I unintentionally managed to add an additional .com onto my new apple ID and the system then incorrectly verified this "none existent" address. Following days of effort and emails to Apple support I finally ended up  getting set up with my new ID on iTunes.
The next problem was my App store login continued to have the "old" ID grayed into the signin and since I had changed it to a new ID, I could not login at the App Store.
I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with a total of 3 Apple reps without a resolution to me problem.
The last Apple rep, Chad wanted to be able to take a screen shot of what I was telling him, which made no sense to me but I was willing to do what ever was required to solve the problem. Unfortunately, Chad hung up or somehow disconnected before I received the email required for allowing a screenshot. After calling back and adding another 5+ minutes invested, I decided to attempt to change back to my old ID.
Once I had changed my ID back to the old one, I could download updates and purchases.
I realize my question was asking a lot but my hope was someone would have some idea as to how to correct the problem Apple Support could not. It seems to me Apple needs to make a correction on their end but it is now into week two of attempting to solve the problem and I am pretty much disenchanted with Apple Support due to the amount of time and effort already invested and lack of progress.
Thanks for your suggestion. I think it was a good one considering the lack of other information.

  • How can I get the App store to use money in my account rather than a credit card when I want to buy something?

How can I get the App store to use money in my account rather than a credit card when I want to buy something?

The iTunes/Mac App Stores use credit on an account first. You are asked to supply an additional payment method when the cash credit doesn't cover the complete cost of the purchase.

how do I get an App store icon for Mac on my dashboard

Are you on 10.6.8 or Lion? It should have been placed there automatically during the install; otherwise, simply go to your Applications folder and drag the icon to the dock.
If you're not on one of those OS versions, post back with your version.

  • The app store icon on my sons IPOD is gone. How can I get the app store reinstalled ?

The app store icon is gone from my sons ipod.  How do I
    get the app store reinstalled?

The App Store is a default app and cannot be deleted. First make sure it has not been disabled via restrictions.  To check, head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions on the iPod and make sure there are no instructions in placing for installing apps.
Otherwise, do a spotlight search for it.  While on your iPod's home screen, swipe to the right and enter in App Store.

  • How can i get mac app store back when i am on Mac OS X 10.6.8

it says it's missing or incomplete how do i get it back? because i kinda deleted it by accident

Did you delete by dragging it off of the Dock?  If so, open the Applications folder and drag the App Store application bundle back onto the Dock.
Or if you deleted the App Store application bundle by going into your Applications folder and deleting it there, then look in your Trash folder.  If the Trash has not been emptied, you can drag the App Store bundle back to the Applications folder.  Then (after you've dragged it to the Applications folder) drag the icon back onto the Dock, if you want the application in the Dock.
If you've deleted the App Store from the Applications folder and have subsequently emptied the trash, then  you'll want to download the 10.6.8 Combo updater from Apple, and apply the installer to your system.  That will reload all of the pieces of OS X that have been updated since 10.6.  The App Store will be loaded into the Applications folder and into the Dock for you.
OS X updates come in two general formats: Delta updates, and Combo updates.  Delta updates contain just changes from the previous release.  The Combo updates are cumulative, and contain all changes from all of the delta updates.
Get your OS X backups going, too.  Apple's Time Machine does a good job here and is both free and easy to use, though there are other options.  Either Time Machine via a directly-connected disk, or (particularly nice for laptops) via a network-connected disk such as an Apple Time Capsule.  (With Time Machine operating, you can also choose to restore any erroneously application bundles from the Time Machine backup, so long as the backups were running before the deletion occurred.)

  • How can I get the App store to work?

I cannot get my App store to work on OS 10.7.4  I don't know how I am going to upgrade with the new system.  I thought the new up grade would help fix the problem, but now I don't know who to get the upgrade because my app store won't load.  I am getting the screen that says
    One Moment Please.
    Connenction to the iTunes Store.
                    Loading...
If I tunes doesn't open, click the iTunew application icon in you Dock or Windows Task Bar. To download iTunes, Please click here.
I have tried sign off and back on.  My iTunes works just fine. Only the App store doesn't work.  I have tried the terminal message thing.  I have tried to find my file.  I bought Lion from the app store.  PLEASE help I am so frustrated.  I want to cry.  When I as for help they send me to the boards to the support thing, but nothing on those pages have helped me.  I know there are other post, but  I don't know how to just dump eveything reload and then back up from my time capsule.  How do I do that?  I will that we could just reboot the App store.
    Thanks

Incase one is wondering... I found the answers in this entry
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/18810192#18810192
    I tired the
    rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
    rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
    rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/*
at first because the person was working out of lion but it kept saying not found, but I did everything else here next.  I added the debug thing and didn't work but I didn't.  Then I deauthorized my computer iTunes and reauthorized then signed in and out. Did not work. I then ran the permission  part of Utilities and then ran the repair.  after this I copied all three lines together pasted them into Terminal.  After that it worked.    I am so happy right now.  I think I had to repair the disc to get it right.  I wrote everything I did incase it was a combination of every thing.
This is how to enable the debug menu that is part of the thread.
    Quit the Mac App Store
Launch the Terminal (located at /Applications/Utilities/)
Type the following command into the Terminal and then hit return:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
Relaunch the Mac App Store, the Debug menu is next to “Help” in the menubar
So now to the interesting part: what me helped was to select "clear cookies" in the debug menu first, and second to select "reset Application"
This was all found in that thread, but it is 11 pages.... this might be more helpful.  There are other suggestions in the tread if this doesn't work for you.

  • How can I get my App Store app back after my daughter deleted it?

My daughter somehow deleted my App Store app off my iPad. How can I get it back.

The App Store is not possible to delete.
Anyway, the easiest way is probably Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout
If you don't care for that method, you can find the App Store by swiping your home screen from left to right, and typing "App Store" in the search screen.

  • I restored my macbook to factory settings and now i have no app store, how can i get the app store back on my macbook?

I need help getting the App Store back on my Macbook!!!

You need to update or upgrade it to at least 10.6.6. If it's running 10.5.8 or earlier, this requires installing a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD.
