How can I get my email working again?

My Comcast email stopped working when I changed my password.  Now I cannot send or receive.  I deleted the account and added it back--no change.  I rebooted and did the delete/add new account again, but I still have no working email.  The old emails were also gone after I deleted the account.  What can I do to get my email working again?

Nevermind.  After a frustrating few hours, I went to bed.  This morning when I checked, I had email.  The old emails never returned, but the new ones are coming through.  I wonder why it took so long.

    The number of pictures/videos on the device is irrelevant.  If there is not available space on the device, there is no way to take pictures.  Pictures, videos, music, iBooks, and any other media share the same space.
    Might be a good idea to manage the content on the device going forward so that there is always space available.
    Try not to fall into the misconception that many others experience, believing that the iPhone is a storage device, it simply is not.  Instead it is intended to be a mirror of the content on the computer.

    I've tried holding the power button and home buttons down for ten seconds, then letting go of the power button, but keeping the home button down for another 10 seconds.  I've also tried Reiboot, Wondershare Dr. Fone in desperation to try to get the phone out of this mode.  Nothing seems to fix it.
    If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

    I recently updated my Mac Pro to Mountain Lion. All was working well. Yesterday, my iphone updated its software to iOS 6.0 and all of a sudden I can't receive any emails. The error I receive is that the 'imap.gmail.com' is not responding and to verify that the info entered into mail settings is accurate. I tried to go into 'settings' under my mail accounts, however i am unable to access them as they are all light grey. It does not allow me the option to update, change, delete any of my two accounts - which are Gmail and Hotmail and Icloud. This has also been the same since icloud automatically downloaded onto my Iphone. I am unable to access the icloud icon as light grey. Apple support was no help.
    On my Mac Pro I am able to receive email. The odd thing is that I am able to send email from my iphone as I just sent myself a test email, however I can't receive. I have read different forums and tried some of the options i.e. resetting network settings, rebooting iphone (which i find i have been having to do a lot lately before the download), changing private browsing on safari to 'off' -- nothing seems to work.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is very frustrating.

    I have opened some pretty large PDF files with the iPhone. So not sure of issue. Though there are "flavors" of PDF that maybe the iPhone doesn't do and your fax service is using.
    Can you fax something with no personal info on it and then maybe post it for others to test with or look at the PDF with a computer to see how it compares to other PDF's?

    How do I get my Thinkvantage button working again?
    Background:
    I had a virus attack and as a precaution I zero-ed my ENTIRE hard disk (using KillDisk). I have managed to re-install most things, including I now have an icon on the taskbar called "Launch Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox". However I would prefer it to be fired up by my pressing the (blue) ThinkVantage button at the top of my keyboard.
    I have refused point blank to pay the (outrageous) price of GBP 40.00 for Lenovo to send me a CD with Windows etc on it, but have managed (eventually) to rebuild the entire disk driver by driver until the ThinkVantage Toolbox thing (version 6.0.5449.31) could take over and bring my drivers up to date when I Update my system.
    (It's just that they may have gone in incorrectly??)
    Is there something I should have done during installation.

    If it's not an Airprint enabled printer, you can not natively through your iPad.  BUT, there are apps you can purchase in the App Store, like Print Central ($9), which is what I use myself and works well for my needs.

    System restore can do that, I recommend to avoid using system restore, it can create problems as well as solve them.
    Try deleting the Firefox installation directory and then re-installing Firefox 3.6

    Purchasing iCloud storage will not help you. You are out of memory on the physical device itself. You can try a reset (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). If the Apple appears, the reset is successful, and your Home screen will display shortly.
    Don't waste your money purchasing additional iCloud storage. It won't help you.
    Instead, go to Settings>General>Usage, and under the Storage section at the top, see what is taking up so much memory. If you need to delete some Apps, click on the App in this screen and it will take you to a screen that will allow you to delete it. Then you can just click the back arrow at the top to return to the Usage screen and select additional Apps to delete.
    If your photos are taking up a lot of room, then import them to the Mac or PC you sync with. Once you have verified they have successfully imported, you can then safely delete them from the device.
    If your Mail or Messages is taking up a lot of memory, delete any mail or messages that contain videos. They take up a ton of room.
    That's about all you can do to get your memory consumption down. Check that screen and manage what you have on your device.

    Hi,  I am using a Mac computer that my husband set up.  I have worked on it recently with no problems.  Today, I am having problems with the bluetooth keyboard not  working properly.  The numbers 1 through 9 do not work.  I have gone through troubleshooting wireless mouse and keyboard issues and everything looks good.  Except, when I check the keys on the keyboard viewer, these keys still do not work.  The webpage guides me through and at this point I do not know what to do next, because the keyboard is still not working properly.  I sure hope there are some experienced people in the community to help me.  What should I do?

    I wish my suggestion had gotten you further.
    I do suggest you try to connect the keyboard again.  The request for a number is a step in it trying to pair.  If it gets by the number, it sometimes takes a little while to get connected.  If you are unable to get it connected and want a new one, I have been using Apple Bluetooth keyboards for years - and I like them. The one I have (the newest model) only uses two batteries and is very thin. 
    Speaking of batteries, if you are not already doing so, you might consider rechargeables.  I have a drawer full of them and use a 15 minute charger.  I go tired of buying batteries and rechargeables are environmentally friendly to boot. At the moment, I use 2450 mAh Energizers and a 15 minute Energizer charger (all purchased new on eBay at a very reasonable price).
    I am far from an iPad "expert," although I have one.  If my suggestion below does not help, post your question in a separate thread in the iPad forum.
    I had a terrible time syncing my iCal on my Mac with my iPad iCal (confusing - hopefully it makes sense).  I quit using iCloud as that added to the confusion. There is a facility to one-time sync items.  When you connect your computer to your iPad, iTunes opens.  The system begins a process (automatic backup and so on). After it finishes, you can click on "info."  At the bottom of the screen, there is an advanced section.  You can select any of the items and then force it to sync. The iCal information from your computer would be deposited on the iPad. 
    After all that, I do not use a Google calendar so the information may be worthless to you.
    If you want to reset the iPad to factory settings, you can do that when it is connected to iTunes (one of the options).  Me being me, I try never to erase anything.

    This is a ridiculous policy and it interferes with how most people would listen to an audio book since they are quite lengthy. I'm traveling, so I throw the audio book on using my iPad and I get 60% of the way through the book on my trip. I come home, I want to listen to the rest of it via iTunes on my stereo through AirPlay. And this can't be done?
    This is the last audiobook I buy from iTunes until they *fix* this... and it IS something that requires fixing whether that means negotiating more aggressively with the audiobook providers or changing something at the software layer. It completely ruins many peoples' experience!
    It's funny because a friend of mine suggested buying it, then downloading it from a torrent just so I could use the book the way I wanted to use the book. Is it not sad that to create a positive overall user experience you have to resort to downloading something off a torrent?
    iTunes is supposed to make things easy and accessible. I agree with jamusick's posting -- this isn't the vision Steven Jobs had for the future. This is a road block on the way there.
