How can I get my Firefox persona to work with the new version of Firefox?

Everything was working fine, then my computer automatically updated Firefox and my persona background disappeared. It's listed as enabled on the add-ons backgrounds under add-ons manager. I have Foxkeh tail wag. I went and reinstalled it but it still doesn't come on. I went to the firefox personas page and tried to install a different persona. NONE of them work now. How can I get my persona background back?

How can I get my photosmart 3180 to work with my new extreme

I have looked around here, and just can't figure this out, please someone help. I just purchased a 3180 hd with my macbook. Was printing wirelessly fine with my previous hd and new extreme. Now this one isn't working and hp said that it is not a supported wireless printer. Why on earth would apple sell this printer then.

I was glad to find your post as I had the same issue. My HP Photosmart C3180 would not appear anywhere with my new Airport Extreme 802.11n. I got it to work, but print only (no scan):
First, remove the HP drivers that you may already have on your Mac. Go to Applications, Hewlet-Packard, and run the Uninstall program. Then go to Utilities, and run Activity Monitor. Locate the handful of activites that are HP related (I had 4) and remove them. Empty the Trash, then Restart. At this point you should be free of HP drivers.
My setup is with an AirDisk and the printer, both USB to the AEBS through a simple USB hub. While the printer and the Extreme don't seem to get along, I found a thrid party driver that glues it all together nicely.

Download the installer for Gimp-Print 5.0. After you run the install, simply go to System Preferences, Print & Fax. Click on the + in the lower right hand part of the screen and new window appears. Click on "Default Browser" in the upper right hand corner and you should see "HP Photosmart C3100 Series" appear with the Bonjour connection. (Make sure, of course, you are connected to your wireless network, everything is hooked up, the printer is on, and Bonjour is enabled).
that was it! I printed the first page I had open in Preview and it worked flawlessly.
Now, when I want to scan.... I'll probably just do this whole thing backwards and hook it up with the USB cable to my Mac. We'll cross that bridge next time.

Thanks Carolyn. Unfortunately, this didn't work. It turned out to be in my display monitor as I have my computer wired to my tv for streaming. Once I changed the monitor display it worked fine. Go figure

How can i use 3(or more) hdmi monitors with the new Mac Pro(2013)?

I've been looking around, trying to find a solution to this problem.
I saw at one place that an active thunderbold -> DVI will work with the older mac pro model.
Will this work with the new one as well?
Will i be able to connect 3 screens if i use 2 passive thunderbold->hdmi and one
active thunderbold->dvi and then a dvi->hdmi?

If you need to buy Apple's $99 Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapters you may find you need to return and replace the adapter/s till you find one that works.
Recently, after my nMP arrived I bought two adapters. It took 3 trips to the Apple store to find a second one that worked properly. This also happened a few months ago when I was buying those adapters.
You should be aware that you'll also need the DVI cable that has the full set of pins, not the one with the row in the middle missing.
If you check on the Apple customer reviews in the online store you'lll find the issues and possible solutions to this situation.
Eventually I returned the second adapter when I found a way to get 2560 x 1600 through the HDMI port. I now have two 30" monitors that display 2560 x 1600.

Before I downloaded the latest version of Firefox I could us the Norton Idnetity Safe. It will not work with the new version. What do I have to do to make it work?

I am not sure if this is a plugin or extension. All I know is that it worked with the old version of Firefox. It is very important to me to be able to use this feature. Any help would be appreciated.

THIS ISSUE IS RESOLVED FOR ME.
When I opened this pop-up to view the settings (File > Page Setup > "Format & Options": Scale ), the Scale value was 40%. Changing it to 100% corrected the issue I observed.
To my knowledge, I have not been inside this pop-up window before to set the Scale option. Could this value be affected by other actions within Firefox? I noticed this while using v12 which was installed 24Apr2012.I know it worked correctly since that installation, so why did the Scale value change?
UPDATE: I just realized that the Scale option in print preview sets the Scale value in the settings. NOTE TO ALL: This is a sticky setting, not just a setting for a specific output request.

How can I get an older iTunes U account enrolled in newer version of iTunes U?

My institution originally signed up for iTunes U in 2010, but due to various reasons, we never went live with our site. We are now ready to proceed, but we need to get enrolled in the newer version of iTunes U. I was directed to go to https://eduapp.apple.com and send a note saying that we wanted our older, private account enrolled in the newer version, but for whatever reason, I cannot log in, despite trying multiple computers and browers. I know my Apple ID and password are correct, as I just logged into this site with them. Is there anyone on here who can help me? The institution is Aiken Technical College.

Just signed up here, ot the brightest with tech stuff. I'm trying to get my Powershot A620 to work with Windows 7. I'm guessing there's drivers I need to down load ? Will they be on the Canon website or on this help site ?

If you need photo software and don't have any you can download Canon software here.

But if you already have software you use there is nothing special you need. Ether connect the camera using a USB cable or remove the SD card from the camera and use a card reader (either an external one or the computer may already have one built in.)
If you decide to connect the camera via USB you don't need a driver; its built into W7.

How can I get my metronome click to work with 12/8 meter in Logic?

I'm trying to get my KlopGeist click to 12/8 music.
I can get it work with 4/4 and click on divisions set to 12th, but I cannot get truely 12/8.
It's ok to recore, but the notation is different.
Can anyone give me an answer?

You can try some workaround like this...
Create an Arrange track for the Klopfgeist (instrument 256). Create a new (one bar) region and draw 4 dotted notes using pitch say G5. Select the region and set ins "Loop" parameter to ON in the track inspector. Done.
When you need Click you can Mute/Unmute the Klopfgeist track instead of tweaking the Click button in the Transport.
Another scenario can be done using the Environment click object and building a small Environment tool which can work with the Logic transport click etc.

Dear Old Bob..I enjoyed that! I and thanks so much ...I would have done it if I could have done it but I was blocked by Photoshop at every stage! Thankfully my own IT Guru and friend came to the rescue remotely last night and has down-loaded it. But it took him quite a bit of time.
As XP is faded out, there will be an awful lot of people like me complaining.
But truth is my problems are only at a start! About 30 prints (some not yet on my 'blog' (juliamatcham.wordpress.com) all have varying settings which I have noted. Everything depends on these settings.
All are Apple RGB (although my computer is a PC) and they were all set for my printer Epson Photo 1800. Also they were set at varying settings...Standard or Vivid 1.5, 2.5 whatever suited the design.
These settings appear not to exist on CS2 which is a nightmare for me as each print was carefully proofed with a great deal patience and at some expense as in the end one has to use expensive paper even for proofing.
If you have any hints for how to translate these old settings...I would kiss your feet!
Just looking through how things work, I can't understand why I can't change my first printing option to landscape ...everything esle so far seems comprehensible.
I do hate change!
Meanwhile, thanks so much to Curt, Noel, Nahraka and Old Bob for cheering me on. I am obviously going to be back asking more questions about CS2!

I selected to let Firefox install the update. After the update was done. A message came up and stated the new version of Firefox does not support the add-ons for Macfee virus software. How do I switch back to the previous version, that does support Macfee virus software add-ons? In the mean time I will have to switch back to IE until this is resolved.

Your Anti-virus application is not disabled, just one silly little McAfee extension for Firefox.

I have avast antivirus. When I got a note that my avast doesn't work with the new version of firefox. When I check Avast it says I am protected. I'm confused.

How can I get my HP DeskJet 6540 to recognize the new ink cartridges I installed?

Hi everyone. I have an HP DeskJet 6540 printer and I replaced the ink cartridges. After I replaced the cartridges, I aligned them and then did a test print. I noticed that the blank ink didn't print. I opened system preferences, and then I opened the printer utility. It says, "Device Status : Pen Failure." Current Supplies Levels says, "The current levels for the selected printer are shown below...Cartridge on the left (tri-color 97) is unknown and the the cartridge on the right (black 96) is missing." Oh, I forgot to mention that the print cartridge light on the left side is flashing. I went to the HP support website and it says that the problem could be an incorrect print cartridge, incompatible print cartridge, or problem with the (left/right) print cartridge. The solution they offered was to remove, inspect and reseat the problem cartidge. It also said to clean the problem cartridge contacts. I did that and it still gives me the same results. I even reset the printer but still got the same results...
So the next thing I try is the OTHER cartridges listed as compatible with my printer which is 94 (black) and 95 (tri-color). I bought the new cartridges, placed them in the printer and I still got the same message from the print utility. I took the latter cartridges back and got a refund and explained that none of the compatible cartridges are working with my printer. I kept the 96 and 97 cartridges in the printer and the light on the left continues to flash so now I'm here asking if anyone knows how I can get my printer to recognize the new ink cartridges I installed? Are there any other solutions that I have besides throwing the printer out of the window? :-)

With all that you have done it does sound like the printer has a fault. If you haven't tried turning off the printer for several minutes, then this would be worth trying (maybe you have done this when you say reset the printer?).
If the cartridge light on the printer flashes when you turn the printer back on then it sounds like a hardware fault - not the driver or the operating system. And this is not usually something a user can resolve so it would need repair. And for the cost of a new printer, why would you bother.
If you plan of sticking with HP and getting another model that can use the 96 & 97 cartridges (let's face it, they often cost more than the new printer), then take the two existing cartridges to the store and see if they will let you check they are okay. No point throwing them out also if they still have a fair bit of ink still in them.
