So I have forgottenn my i pod pasword and now it says, ' connect to itunes' that didnt work I plugged it into my laptop nothing happened. If i take it to the apple store will all my photos be erased thats the main reason why I want it unlocked.

You can get a replacement product or a repair for free if it broke not through your own fault if it is still under warranty. However...

How can I eliminate an I-Pod Touch app? I want to eliminate a few but don't want to "restore" and lose all of them. Is there any way to trash apps one at a time?

Go into itunes and delete the app then sync.
Or if you just want it off of the iphone and not out of itunes, then uncheck the app in the applications tab in itunes.
Or hold down an icon until they all "wiggle" then hit the 'x" in the corner. The app will come back when you sync unless you delete it from itunes or deselect it under applications tab.
