How can I get my iTunes from windows to mac
I just bought this macbook pro, which I love, but I don't want my iphone to erase during sync, how do I get my Itunes Windows stuff onto my Itunes Mac??
From your Old Computer... Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
An Added Bonus is that you will then have a Backup of iTunes...

You should transfer the song files from your iPod to your current computer, add them to the iTunes library, and sync your iPod to that library (after confirming all of those songs are there now).
Any songs purchased from the iTunes Store can be re-downloaded, at no cost, using the Purchased screen in the iTunes Store.
For other songs, you can't transfer from iPod to computer using iTunes. However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on "ipod transfer," you should get some links. Add "mac" to the search if you use a Mac.
That would be the safest way to proceed, because you will then have a backup of the iPod's songs on the computer (in case the iPod breaks, gets lost, or needs a "Restore"). However, if you decline to sync when you first connect the iPod, it should get set to "Manually manage music." When it is set that way, you should be able to add new songs to it manually (by dragging songs to it in iTunes). But again, it would be safest to have ALL the songs (on the iPod) in the iTunes library on the computer first. -

I recently bought a Macbook Pro. I have been using windows my whole life. I installed Quicken 2006 for the MAC. I backed up my windows quicken on a disk and it just doesn't open it. Is there a trick? or am I screwed?
Unfortunately, there is no simple way to convert a Quicken/WIndows data file to Quicken/Mac. This is a major complaint of a lot of switchers.
I can't find the link (I'll keep looking) but I know that Intuit offers a conversion service. You send them your data file, and for an absurd amount of money they'll convert the file for you.
You're probably better off starting your Quicken/Mac file from scratch.
That's what I did. It took some time to do, but now I'm happy with it and I didn't have to pay anyone to convert the file. -

I have an iTouch with songs that are on there from my CDs as well as purchased songs from iTunes. Currently my iTouch plays all of my music. When I went to sync my new iPhone4S using my PC (Windows with latest upgrade), it only will sync songs I purchases from iTunes. It appears all of the music on iTunes that I put there from my CDs have an ! next to them, and they will not sync to my new phone. How can I get my iTunes account to recognize my CDs as legal muisc that I can put on my iPhone? I do not want to reload all 1,600 songs from my CD collection.
Songs with an exclamation mark against them are songs that iTunes can't find. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the files, or that the drive the live on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

You don't use Airplay. You set up Home Sharing on both and under the Computers section of AppleTV you'll then find it under Movies (or Rentals if rented), assuming it's in a compatible format.

What version of iTunes are you running on your computer? You need to update to the current version.
