How can I get my Mountain Lion more stable on the internet? It keeps losing the signal. Lion is solid as a rock on my other Macbook using the same router.

I downloaded Mountain Lion on my Macbook Air, and it works without a hitch except for internet connectivity. It keeps losing the signal. My Macbook using the same connection is solid as a rock and never loses the connection. Is there something I can do? Since my Macbook works weell under exactly the same conditions and if memory serves so did my Macbook Air with Lion before I downloaded Mountain Lion, none of the usual fixes seem to apply.

I have the same problem, I think. I dont lose wifi signal, the mba stays connected to the router the whole time. Pings also seem unaffected by this problem. The problem is that web pages seem to load intermittently, in other words, it loads a page in 2 minutes. It loads:
the first 25% in the first 5 seconds
the next 25% in the next 50 seconds
the next 25% in the next 5 seconds
the last 25% in the last 50 seconds
Its quite annoying considering this can be as simple a page as goolge search results or even google.com.
I thought it was my ISP and i even made a big racket about it, switched ISPs and I have the same problem.
With the previous ISP I had a cisco router. This new ISP supplied their own modem/wifi. That doesnt seem to be the problem.
Im thinking its a config issue on my mba. I have the latest updates to ML.
Any ideas?

I realize this is kind of roundabout, but the issue I ran into was too much stuff on my old 8GB 3G, and I was stuck on iOS3 FOREVER (couldn't upgrade to iOS4) soooo, I deleted a whole bunch of piddly apps from the phone ONLY, which then allowed me to update to iOS4 (on the 3G). Then, I could sync (which I did, but obviously not everything transferred, b/c when I synced the new 32 GB iphone 4, there are particular apps {doodle buddy and groove, my tap fish...} that are missing the in app purchases, but these are still on the old 8GB 3G). I recently purchased the 890L Jetpack and am more or less pleased with it. At worst, my internet speeds are as bad as they were when I had Comcast or was sharing my previous apartment complex's wireless service, and at best it's better than anything I ever got during my brief time with Comcast. However, these plans simply aren't enough for me. I went into a store to get my jetpack, and had to actually return the next day to get the jetpack I had purchased and signed a contract for because the employees had locked themselves out of the safe. They told me I'd be paying roughly $130 a month, plus taxes and the usual little charges here and there, for 20 gigs a month.
I use the internet, a LOT. I know for a fact that 20 gigs isn't going to cover the amount of online activity I go through. We have three devices using this jetpack, an Xbox 360, and two laptops. The 360 is used sparingly, less than 3 or 4 hours a day, but the two laptops are used very, very frequently, with one almost constantly connected. I know that between the two laptops alone we could knock out those 20 gigs in just a single week. There simply HAS to be an alternative Verizon can offer me. I can't go back to Comcast, I got burned pretty badly with their nonsense at my last place, and there just isn't another option in my area for (relatively) high-speed internet. But I'm not going to be able to afford $130 to $150 for 20 gigs, and then another $200 or $300 a month in overages. My first bill hasn't come yet, and the Verizon website isn't really allowing me a good look at my usage, I'm only able to manage a rough estimate of what I'm burning through by using the vz.hotspot page, and even with us holding back, we're easily cutting through 2 gigs a day.
PLEASE somebody tell me there's something I can do to get more data, a better plan, anything.

I just found the answer. iTunes will play consecutively the songs that are checked, if Controls --> Repeat Off is checked. When I asked the question I had unchecked all songs.

Given what the OP wrote, he is running Lion (which doesn't display the tools palette when we use the Full Screen mode.)
In this system, there is a Full Screen icon in the right top of the window.
As I already wrote it is made of two small arrows inclided with 45°
The screenshot was made when working in standard mode.
To quit the Full Screen mode just hit Escape.

You should transfer the song files from your iPod to your current computer, add them to the iTunes library, and sync your iPod to that library (after confirming all of those songs are there now).
Any songs purchased from the iTunes Store can be re-downloaded, at no cost, using the Purchased screen in the iTunes Store.
For other songs, you can't transfer from iPod to computer using iTunes. However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on "ipod transfer," you should get some links. Add "mac" to the search if you use a Mac.
That would be the safest way to proceed, because you will then have a backup of the iPod's songs on the computer (in case the iPod breaks, gets lost, or needs a "Restore"). However, if you decline to sync when you first connect the iPod, it should get set to "Manually manage music." When it is set that way, you should be able to add new songs to it manually (by dragging songs to it in iTunes). But again, it would be safest to have ALL the songs (on the iPod) in the iTunes library on the computer first.

How can I get my products to install with a slow internet download connection?

I keep trying to download but crash. I spoke with a support person that informed me my download times were slow (have a ti line) and install one product at a time, but I have crashed twice with photoshop and twice with illustrator, have only been successful with installing InDesign. Any suggestion as to getting the installation to succeed? We are waiting until contract up to upgrade the internet connections.

The error message says something like"download failed" check firewall, virus software etc. The install moves very slowly if at all, and then just stops and the message appears. I am on OS 10.9.1 and have a T1 line for internet, for business.
I have successfully downloaded a couple apps, but it takes all day. The support person said to only do one install
at a time. ( I had selected all I wanted to download before leaving for the weekend and Illustrator only went 17% by Monday am. I have tried to limit internet usage during the install time to allow the install full use when possible.

rbuhunwal is correct; working on CS6 files in CC is no problem, and saving them back as CS6 is only one or two extra mouse clicks, and takes no more time than saving as CC. We do this every day with client files which are everything from CS6, all the way down to CS3.
The only caveat with older versions is if you use filters, etc., not available in that earlier version, it will impact editability on the other end. Not much of a worry from CC to CS6, though.

I've only got very restrictive PAYG 3G internet at home so downloading 4.5GB of Mountain Lion is going to cost way more than the upgrade itself! Does anyone know how to order physical media from Apple? Failing that is there a way I can download from someone elses machine not through the app store and then burn so I can take home?

Physical Media? No can do. You can burn it to DVD after downloading, otherwise you are sol as it is only available via download. You can of course hook into a friend or family's WiFi and download it using your Apple ID to log in to the App Store, or use their Mac to download it, again using your personal Apple ID in case you ever need to download it again.

have you heard about Thunderbird profiles? A profile change requires a restart unlike OE and it's change of identities. But multiple profiles is basically functionally identical to the OE identify. I am guessing crashing into the already existing outlook import folder made the mail an issue. So if you rename the outlook express import folder to something else the import may well go as planned.

How can I make my CP modules more stable and reliable?

We've recently rolled out a major compliance training module to our whole company. It was quite a large project about 13mb when published, including audio. It was delivered via the latest version of Saba. Some users had no problems with it - it ran as it was designed to, but at least 150 users experienced quite major problems:
Slides would stick for no apparent reason forcing them to close and restart
Submit buttons would behave erratically
Everything ran very slowly
The simple answer would be to say yes it was too large to run in a stable predictable manner, but colleagues who put together a simple 10 question multi-choice quiz, with no graphics or audio have experienced similar issues.
The result was some very unfavorable feedback and we'll have to work hard to win back the trust of the people who were affected.
Chances are it's linked to our IT infrastructure, but I really don't know where to start with that. The LMS and content servers are based in the US and we're based in the UK. Has anyone had similar experiences - what did you do?
Most of the project was put together in Powerpoint 07 then converted into CP4, I'm now using CP5 and can see that there really is no need to use PowerPoint anymore, except for speed and familiarity. So is there any evidence/experience to suggest that converting .ppts is less stable, larger file size and worse practice than creating everything from scratch in CP5?
Where can I find best practices for increasing the odds of delivering stable learning experiences for my users?
Sorry lots of questions for one post - but I'm looking more for useful pointers than definitive answers!

Everytime I've had issues like this it's been due to latency in the LMS handling the volume of requests from the course modules. It's the luck of the draw when people have these issues because it just depends on how many things are competing for the LMS's attention at the time.
If you get an opportunity to log into the LMS server box and watch the Task Manager while the LMS is being hit you may see the CPU max out due to the load. At this point some users will be experiencing what appears like sticking screens as Captivate waits to hear back from the LMS after it has sent through a pinged piece of information. You can lessen the load on the LMS by setting your courses to only report scores and not scores + user interactions. If Captivate is pinging the LMS after each and every slide, imagine how many hits that poor LMS is getting when you have lots of users.
On one project we also got some help from Andrew Chemey at Adobe to customise the JavaScript in our Captivate HTML SCORM templates so that the lesson only reported once to the server right at the end of the lesson, instead of after every quiz question, which is the normal behaviour. We found this significantly reduced the load on the LMS and all but eliminated the latency.

Once you've downloaded it, you can burn it to a disc or copy it to a thumbdrive to bring to the PC that's offline.
