  • How can I get my music off my ipad to my ipod

Guys, I took my ipod and connected it to my computer, it said I need to download a newer version (10.6) so I did. However it erased all my music on my ipod. Now, I have the music on my wife ipad, but the apple ID is in her name. when I connect it to the computer and open itunes it says, the same thing Log on and update to a newer version. I am afraid if I do that then I will lose my music again. What should I do? How can I take the music that is on my wifes ipad and download it to my ipod?

Did iTunes delete your music.  Not very likely, unless the iTunes you connected your iPod with is not the iTunes or computer you normally sync with.  So, if the music is still in your iTunes account. all you have to do, is connect your iPad to your computer and once it's recognized, click it open and click on the music tab and check what song, albums, etc., you want on your iPad, then click apply, then sycn.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.

Your description of the problem is a bit confusing.  Do you have ONLY ONE Apple ID or do you have MORE THAN ONE?

how can i get my music from iphone onto a new pc . i have A NEW IPAD I WANT TO TRANSFER THE MUSIC ONTO

When connected to your computer's iTunes you can use File > Transfer Purchases to copy over any music (and other content) that you've bought from Apple. For music that you've copied from your own CDs or bought from other download sites then is it not already on your computer and/or on a backup that you can copy onto your computer ? If not then you will need to find a third-party program to copy them off the phone.
And there is no need to SHOUT.

How can I get my music from my Itunes library (purchased and downloaded (CD)) after I replaced my hard drive?  Same account name.  My other computer see's old and new music.  Can purchace new songs.  They show up by themselves.  Can connect IPOD and old songs show up.  Seem's like they are defined as different accounts.

They will only be where you put them.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use your backup copy to put everything back.

    - For iTunes purchases:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
In iTunes 11 use Control+B to show the Menu bar then go to iTunes>File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
    - For other music you need a third-party program like one of those discussed here:

  • HT1848 how can i get the music from itunes on my pc to transfer to my iphone?

how can i get the music from itunes on my pc to transfer to my iphone?

The only supported method to get media onto an iDevice is via iTunes.  Read the User's Guide it will describe how to do this in detail.
iCloud does not put media on the device, but using iTunes Match and iCloud it is possible to have access to all media that exists on your computer, but only when the device has Internet access.  It will not load media onto the device.
Use of 3rd party tools to transfer files to the device is not supported.

My 1st ipod was lost. My library is on a Dell with Windows.  I registered my new ipod to a Mac.  How can I get my library from Windows onto my new Ipod?

Thank you for your help.  I am still having trouble.  As you can tell, I am not technologically advanced AT ALL.  My music is all showing up in the library but when I go to file in the top left corner, Sync is greyed out and I cannot select it.  I'm gonna continue to try this.  It's been a long time since I had my 1st ipod and things have changed so much I will probably need to research this stuff.  Thanks again for your help.

Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
    - Make a backup of the iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Back Up.
    - Restore the iPOd from that backup.
