I currently have broadband but we have the old style GPO "grey" octangular box with an extension socket coming off it, this is the line that is broadband enabled. Over the last two years I have tried to get the GPO box swapped out for a new one but all I get is the offer of a new line or no one understands what I am asking for
Can anyone point me in the right direction as I am sure that swapping it over will increase my line speed.

Someone contacted me to quote an obscene amount of money to do this, basically I have been quoted £199.51 (incl. VAT). The break up of this charge is £71.52 (incl. VAT) for socket and £127.99 (incl. VAT) for engineer visit.
£71.52 for the socket, Amazon are selling them for £9.99 what % markup is that? and £127.99 to remove wires from the old one and reconnect, even taking 30 minutes thats over £250.00 per hour - do these people moonlight as lawyers? Its cheaper for me to get a new line installed.
I am now going to write to the head of BT and OFCOM on this as considering 1) we have never had one fitted 2) BT/ Open reach wont allow anyone else to do this work, they are being un-competative.

If you bought them on your iPad then you will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library and you can then sync them to your iPhone - ringtones are a one-time only download, so you won't be able to redownload them directly on your phone.

I need all my old music from my old Mac, which has been wiped clean by IT at my old job. BUT, I did have iCloud at that time and I thought all my music would be accessible through it. I don't understand the Cloud! And I'm thinking spending $24.99 on iTunes Match was a waste of money because I still can't access my old music.

When you are done with this issue, consider the computer back at the office may still
have access to your iTunes account, and it should be de-auhorized. You can do that
remotely, but be sure you carefully do not mess up your other computer iTunes libraries.

Thanks for your response Cor el, I'll try that the next time it happens, it's completely random. One moment it functions normally then suddenly it changes its mind.
Restarting my pc usually brings it back to normal until next time.
One thing I've noticed, but not 100% sure there's a connection here.....I edit my websites online and log into cpanel which opens new pages in separate tabs, as it should do. It seems that this problem occurs when I'm logged into cpanel...if i'm logged in then open a new tab for regular browsing of other sites then all links on those sites also open in new tabs.
Ican't say for sure if it's always only happened when logged into cpanel, but certainly on the last 3 occasions.
At the moment it's behaving normally so much I can do to check your suggestions, but will try them the next time it occurs.
One other thing I forgot to mention too....since i've had the new firefox, I've noticed that when I log into yahoo and post comments, I often find myself having to log on for each new post. Everything was fine with old firefox and there have been no other changes to my pc .

Firefox is highly customizable and you may be able to customize it to meet your needs.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

1.View 2.Select tool bars 3. Uncheck any of the toolbars below: a. Babylon toolbar b. Softonic Eng 7 Community tool bar!
4.Finish.... if nothing happened try to unchechked other tool bars.
