How can I get my PC to keep me signed in on icloud?

In this it says that if time zone support is on and you change time zone then the appointment will still say the same time as the other zone.
But what I need is for my tablet appointment to change time so that no matter where I am, the time will always be the equivalent of 8PM in the UK. Is this possible?

Yes, that's correct, it won't affect your account or your devices in any way.
Use the delete account button in the iCloud settings.
Then enter her iCloud details in the new screen that appears and log in. She should then be returned to the screen above but with her Apple ID at the top, enable the services she wishes to use and then tap the storage & backup option and ensure that iCloud backup is turned on.

Reseting ipad, we are asked to restore info from icloud or itunes. If we choose icloud, the info will be restored, but the apps on the ipad should be downloaded from app. store! because icloud can't save the applications. and If we choose to restore with itunes, the apps will be loaded quickly ,But still we need our info in icloud. and if we go to icloud backup , from ipad settings, we just have one choice: back up now! that backs up the new info, not our backed up info. but we need our backed up info.

It restored the backup that was made on your computer 6 months ago, which did not contain those photos. You're wasting your time trying to find them on the phone. They don't exist.
Hopefully, your friend syncs her phone to her own computer on a regular basis. She needs to plug her phone into her computer and restore it from her last backup. That will restore it to the state it was in when the backup was made.
She also needs to get in the habit of extracting the photos on a regular basis, like she would from any other digital camera.

If you mean to appear on icloud.com, unless something has changed recently, you can't. iCloud only pushes calendar scriptions to your other devices but will not add the subscription to the calendar on icloud.com.

I'm not sure whether this works with notes, (it works with contacts etc) Paul might be worth a try:
Try turning off notes syncing in your settings > iCloud and then turning them back on, hopefully you will be given the option to merge your notes. Otherwise I am afraid you are going to have to transfer them manually in the manner which you have already described.

How can you get custom sounds for when you sign into iChat?

When you sign into my friend's iChat account on her computer, a computer voice says "Sarah is awesome!", and she obviously custom made that, and I was wondering how you can make custom sounds like that when you sign in.

It can be done two ways.
1) as the other poster describes in making an Alert Sound and placing it in Users/(your account)/Library/Sounds and then selecting it in iChat > Preferences > Alerts fro the action you want.
2) In Tiger/iChat 3 only
Go to the iChat Alert Preferences details above and there is an option to have iChat Speak a text phrase which you can type in the Phrase. (this is not there in iChat 4)

How can i get popup blocker to keep the allowed sites that i add?

Here where I work, we have a site that opens in a popup window. I have added it to the popup exceptions list, but after a day or so, that site disappears from that allowed site list. Not sure what keeps going on. It's been doing this for a while, even on previous versions. The browser is on the most current version, 33.0, just FYI.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can you find a pattern to the disappearance? For example:
# Every time you exit Firefox it is cleared?
# Every time to shut down and restart Windows it is cleared?
# It is cleared on a schedule?
For #1, make sure Firefox is not set to clear too much history at shutdown.
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy
If you have "Firefox will: Remember history" then there shouldn't be a problem. If you have "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history" then make sure "Clear history when Firefox closes" is NOT checked, or if it is checked, click the Settings button and make sure that Site Preferences are NOT set to be cleared.
For #2 and #3, utility, privacy and system cleaning software sometimes clean up browser settings beyond just clearing cookies. You may need to check their settings if you have one or more of these programs.

Who owns "dat" files? or how can I get my OS to keep its house tidy?

I had a problem with Mozilla Firefox suddenly not displaying video content: swf, quicktime, wmv, you name it. Safari did not have a problem. I spent several months as OS tweaks and updates to MozFire and QT arrived - I did repair permissions, I did repair disc, fsck -fy everything I could think of; yet the problem still persisted. I am currently using 10.4.11, and MozFire 2.0.0.11. I researched the problem on the Apple forum and the Mozfire forums and I was unable find any thing that worked. Then one groggy night I happened to notice that the "pluginreg.dat" file (located at userme>Library>Application Support>Firefox>pluginreg.dat) was "assigned" by the OS to an application of the Windows flavor. First it was a CanonVideo software until I deleted it, then the file took on the guise of a VLC.app file. It is supposed to be a document, and not belong to any app (i think). I opened get info and assigned the file to TextEdit which does do documents and VOILA! upon restart MozFire loaded the video files!!!!! hurrah. however, I still have a question why are these dat and inf and other windows type of files being assigned to applications? I thought they were "app less" files or system files. Is there some way to stop this? For example when I mount a flashmemory stick disc the FINDER.DAT file and the FILEID.DAT on the Wintel formated stick show up with VLC.app logos and are assigned to VLC which will try to open and read the file if I happen to double click it. I hope that there is another solution besides a reinstall of the OS!!!!!. WHat on earth could be causing this problem?

From a google search: +DAT files are data files, usually comma delimited, that contain data in ASCII format. These files are able to be open in a variety of programs including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Notepad.+

How can I get the store to keep my filter settings while browsing apps (with iPad)

While looking for apps via(and for) my iPad, often I will start with a simple one word search term, then use the category, rating, price, and product filters to narrow my search - works great.
BUT if I select an app to go to it's details page, when I navigate back to the previous page, all of the filters have been reset, and I've lost my place in the list even if I was 6 pages in. This also happens when I re-open the app store after I choose to install an app.
Why, Why, Why?!? This kind of poor user experience is so 1975.
Please help me resolve, or at the very least, come to terms with this issue.

My wife & I use the same computer and both use AOL for Email. Both of our usernames & passwords would come up on the Email sign in page, so we could just choose the appropriate one. Then a while ago AOL made me change my password, but the password didn't change on the sign in page, so i would have to delete it each time & put in the new one. I didn't realize that the password was stored in Firefox. So yesterday I contacted AOL & they had me click on tools then options then security then saved passwords then highlight https.//my.screenname.aol.com and then delete it. So now when we go to the sign in page, only her info is there, & if I delete hers & put in mine Firefox doesn't ask If I want Firefox to remember the password. I would like to get it back to where it remembers both again. Thank you

This website is using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save names and passwords and other form data.

How can I get my e-mail to update between phone and iCloud

Thanks to help of randers4 I was able to get iCloud installed on my computer with Vista operating system. Now my dilema is that everything there is updating, except for my e-mail. I created an iCloud e-mail account, but don't plan on using it. I want to use my established e-mail address, not the iCloud e-mail. Also I noticed when I was setting up iCloud on the computer , when the iCloud screen showimg Mail, Contacts, etc. it showed Internet Explorer. We have Firefox, does that make a difference.
Also, I had downloaded ringtones from ITunes on my iPhone 4 which my husband now has. Is there a way for me to get those same ringtones on my iPhone 5c without repurchasing them?

You can use a different email account, but it will not appear on icloud.com as iCoud only hosts iCloud email. Just add your account to the email client on your PC as you would any other email account. To add the account on your iOS devices (iPhone), go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account, choose your provider and provide your account details.
You can't redownload purchased ringtones from iCloud for free but you can sync them to your 5c using iTunes. To do so, connect your iPhone 4 to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Then go to the Tones folder of your iTunes library and confirm that the ringtones appear there. (If you don't see the Tones folder, go to Edit>Preferences>General and make sure Tones is checked in the Show options.)
Then connect your 5c to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to the Tones folder of your iTunes sync settings, then check Sync Tones and click Apply at the bottom to sync your phone.

iOS devices do backup automatically to iCloud providing:
iCloud Backup is turned on
It has a Wi-Fi connection
It is connected to a power source
The screen is off
5GB is plenty of storage for me to backup to iCloud automatically.
I have a 64GB iPhone & a 128GB iPad both backing up to the same iCloud account and I still have nearly 2GB free.
This is mainly because media is not backed up and Photo Stream & iTunes purchases do not count against your iCloud storage.
