How can I get my picture into the window to fit correctly?
Hello,
I'm somewhat of a novice, so please bear with me. I am editing a sequence together that has footage from multiple camera sources. Some of the footage is at 24.00 fps, some at 29.97, some at 23.976.
When I'm looking at the window to see my footage, some of the footage fits completely in the window, and the other half is getting chopped off, so I can only see 1/3 of the image. I divided my footage in half into two different sequences, and the footage looks great, nothing getting chopped off. But, as soon as I combine all of the footage into one sequence, something is getting chopped off.
What is happening? Both of my sequences are set to 23.96. So, theoretically, they should look the same in either sequence, correct?
I just want all of my footage to fit correctly into one sequence so I can see the entire picture of each clip.

I would suggest you work out which footage is the "smaller dimension". (pixel x pixel resolution)
Create a Sequence that matches that
What may help is to click the NEW ITEM link on page #5 of The PPro/Encore tutorial list http://forums.adobe.com/message/2276578
...and copy and paste the other footage into using the Scale to Frame size option.

Using Import From Camera or Card Reader ought to work exactly the same as in PSE10.

Ok, I'll give it a try.
Presuming you already have a Dropbox account, and you have the app on your pad.
Open the app, navigate to public folder. Touch the upload icon at the bottom. It will show you everything you have already uploaded. To upload a new picture, then touch the plus sign at the top right. You can create one or more subfolders to organize it however you want.
Hit the plus sign again if needed, and the photo listing will show up. Find the photos you want and mark them by touching them. Then touch the blue word upload in the upper right.
( the directions assume the pad is in the landscape mode.)
That's really all there is to it. As I typed this I opened and uploaded a couple of pics to get the steps right. -
How can I get an mp3 into the music section on iPad without using a computer?
The situation is this: I have no access to a computer. The iPad is all that I have to use. So I have never synced it to iTunes or anything.
I am trying to make a video using the movie making app Pinnacle Studio (iMovie doesn't do enough for what I want) and when it comes to choosing audio files, it shows what's stored in the music library of my iPad.
But here is the problem. The audio is a track I have sent to my own email address as mp3. I want to be able to save it from email into my music folder so that it can then be imported into Pinnacle Studio. But when I click on the mp3 in the email it gives me only options to open it in iMovie or Dropbox. How can I get to use this piece of audio when I can't access a computer? Thanks a lot for any help.If you don't have iTunes you will need to buy the song from the iTunes store and download it that way. If it is a custom track you may be out of luck. The only way to get a song on your device without iTunes involves jailbreaking it.
iOS is set up to prevent people from emailing each other songs, videos, movies, books, etc. This is how Apple got their contracts with the content providers by promising that they would do what ever it takes to prevent people from sharing content that they didn't pay for. -

I need the pictures on my PC/windows phone1. Create a backup of your iPad to iTunes on your computer or to iCloud
2. Transfer any and all photos & videos on your iPad to your computer.
3. Erase the iPad and restore the iPhone's iCloud backup to the device.
4. Transfer any and all photos & videos on your iPad to your computer.
5. Restore the iPad backup you reated in step #1 back to the iPad. -

Had a computer virus and had to reload everything.

ThanksYour LR preset folder can be found using: Edit / Preferences / Presets / Show LR Presets Folder (and there is a Store Presets with Catalog checkbox that you might want to check or uncheck depending on what it was, before).
Your ACR presets are in a Settings folder next to the Cache folder as shown on this page:

Working alternating with iPhoto and FCE tgrying to import pictures from iPhoto into FCE suddenly all my 22300 pictures disappeared leaving empty frames. Does somebody know where the pictures could have gone and how can I get them back into iPhoto? Lothar
The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Hi I asked a computer engineer to install RAW plug in 8.7.1. on PSE 12 for me, and he couldnt do it either. I have bought PSE 13 and followed the advise I was given - go to Edit - expert - Help - plugins - RAW - update- and IT WORKS !!! DW

Hello, I have been experiencing similar problems and followed the suggestion and yes, the raw icon comes up as illustrated but there is nothing there to indicate any further action can be taken. So I am presuming that means it is installed and no further action required?
Here's my problem: I have had no problems getting my pics into my organiser in Elements 12 from either my Nikon D7100 or my Fujifilm X100S - until last week. Suddenly when they are imported all I see is the timer icons but they don't open to let me view them. If I click on one it will open and I can then edit it but it will not save an image onto the grid for me to view so it's really frustrating not being able to view all my photos in order to decide what to edit and compare them.
Here's what action I've taken so far - restarted the computer (endlessly), checked the updates and installed them, checked I have the latest raw plug in (I do) and gone into edit/update thumbnail (doesn't do a thing) - and torn out a fair amount of my hair. So anyone out there experienced this and can give me some advice? Please?

How can I get a picture to go with my email signature when sending emails from my iPad? Only a square box shows up on my signature not the actual picture I iploaded in my settings.
Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.

My current project in the Events Library has gone into list mode. ie a single clip on the left one above another, so showing only about 7 clips. How can I get it back into normal horizontal mode?
That's about what it's supposed to look.
How do You want it to look ?
a. You can change places by using this
b. May be You changed this top right symbol of an hard disk ?
c. or changed the number of frames to be viewed ?
d. OR - it can (at least for me) be so that You think of how it looks in iPhoto. (To me a very common mistake)

I recently upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 and Aperture 2.1.4 will no longer open. I cannot access my photos and I don't want to pay for latest version of Aperture since this application is no longer going to be supported. How can I get my pictures?
If you want just the originals, then you can go into the Aperture library (right click on it and do "show package contents"). Inside is a directory called "Masters" and you can find the original files in a bunch of subfolders.
But... you'll lose all adjustments, keywords, and other information, and just have the files as they were imported originally from the cameras.
Easiest is probably to buy Aperture and update everything, and then migrate to the Photos application down the road if that's what you want. Aperture 3.0 came out in 2010 (five years ago!) so it's not like you've upgraded in a while -

If you backed up your phone, restoring the backup will restore the photos that were in your camera roll. If you didn't, all you can do is sign back into your iCloud account and enable photo stream. That will allow you to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days.
