I was 3-4 updates behind on ipad. Did back-up, installed update to ipad now how do I get my purchased apps back on my ipad? I assume they didn't back up to cloud since that came with this update. I can see all my purchased apps but no way to transfer them back to my ipad from whereever they are. Wish itunes was more user friendly. Help please.
If you are running iTunes 11 and if you didn't figure this out yet, when you launch iTunes - go to View>Show Sidebar from the menu at the top of the screen. Once you can see the sidebar, iTunes looks so much more familiar.
The "new look" iTunes doesn't appeal all that much to me, I just want the functionality that I have always had. It's still there, its just been hidden with a lot of fluff and visual wow that I really don't care about .... Just my opinion. -
Can I share one iTunes account for my iPad and two I phones? If so, how can I get the purchased apps and music on all three devices? How do I sync all the devices to have the same music and apps?
You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5262\
However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on. -
How can I get my gifted app back in to my account?
I have gifted an app to a friend, but she is in Canada and can not use the app, how can I get my gift back in to my account ?
Sorry, but Apple's policy states that, "all sales are final" > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Apps purchased in one country cannot be gifted to a recipient in another country. -
I had to have a replacement Ipod. I had backed up the tunes and purhased apps on my pc. When I reloaded everything, the apps did not download. How can I get them back on to the Ipod?
Are they configured to sync to your iPod? See this article for more details.

If nothing else you can redownload them for free directly to your iPod Touch.

lost my purchased files, my computer was reset, how can I get these back without paying again??
Outside the USA, that is the situation at present: downloads are once only and you are expected to take responsibility for backing up your purchases.
In the USA music can be downloaded again ('iTunes in the Cloud') - Apple's page on this also says 'TV shows' but doesn't mention music. Other countries as still waiting on rights negotiations for this factility.
It's possible that if you ask iTunes Support nicely they may agree to let you re-download as a one-off concession, but they are in no way obliged to do this. Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'iTunes' in the first column and then 'iTunes Store' in the second column. In the third column click 'Purchases, Billing & Redemption' and proceed from there. -

How do I get my purchased apps back - after changing my Apple ID & Payment Method.
I can't seem to find any of the apps that I downloaded + purchased before updating my Apple ID & payment method.
I got an Ipad mini retina on Dec. 1st and signed on with my Apple ID and purchased a few apps to use.
The Ipad mini also asked me for my payment information again, but I entered in a different CC#, which updated my payment method to that CC#.
So, I just got an Ipad Air today and tried to restore that Ipad Air from the cloud, but my Apple ID is only showing app downloads and purchases from Dec. 15 and on.
My question is ...
How do I get my apps back? Who would I talk to?
I'm pretty sure I've only used one Apple ID, but all these new iOs devices and accounts are confusing the heck out of me.uiux wrote:

Does this mean you Created a NEW Apple ID..?
It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

How can I get the "Purchased" playlist back on my iPhone and iPad?
I sync my entire music library with my iPhone and iPad. In the Music app, I used to have the playlists:
Purchased
Purchased on Matt Erickson's iPhone
Pruchased on Matt Erickson's iPad
plus all my other playlists...
Now on my iPhone, I only have Purchased on iPhone
Now on my iPad, I only have Purchased on iPad
How do I get all three of these playlists back on all devices?
Thanks! The Airplay icon only appears if there's an Airplay enabled device that the iPhone or iPad can find in the same network, or connected via bluetooth.
How are you attempting to use Airplay? -
I have an Iphone 4 on the latest IOS 5 and latest 2.3 remote control app as I use Itunes 10 to manage the phone. Since version 10 of Itunes the airport express output has been degraded with a digital volume control so I refuse to use version 10 for my lossless audio. I specifically purchased the AE knowing that I would have pefect lossless digital audio to pass on to my high end music system (I understand that turning the volume to the maximum should have the same result but to me it just does not sound as good as with itunes 9). This step back with version 10 of Itunes has made me determined to stay with Itunes 9.2.1 Now I find that the upgraded version of the remote control app will not pair with or control a 9.2.1 library. Does anyone have a solution that does not involve using Itunes 10 to stream my audio under the control of the Iphone. I would dearly love to just go back to an older version of the iphone app but again how can that be done? Or better still have the option in Itunes 10 to have garanteed bit perfect output to airport devices as many people would really appreciate this as true lossless audio is essential for many serious music lovers.
Kind regards from a disappointed apple owner and dedicated music listener.Strangely enough the pref file did not show up in the Preferences folder. I don't know what this means but it could be signifigant.

How Can I Get My Purchased Songs Back?
Recently, my hard drive crashed. I did a data recovery and swapped out the hard drive for a new. After reloading all programs etc onto the new hard drive, i found that most of my iTunes were either missing or damaged. Many of them were from CDs, but a handful were purchased from the iTunes store.
Not only is my "purchased" folder not showing up, but I am missing a few of those songs. I thought all I would have to do is sign onto the iTunes store and they would appear, but it's apparently not that simple. How do I go about getting those files to show up in my library like they used to?Apple has a strict download once policy so you can not redownload you purchased music.
It is often possible to recover files from a failed hard drive, but you might need professional help to do it.
If you have your iTunes data it should be easy to get it onto the new drive. You would need to say exactly what you managed to save, you need the iTunes folder and the iTunes Music folder.
If you have your Music on an iPod you can recover purchased music from it:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
There are many third party apps that allow you to recover everything from an iPod.
If none of these methods is available to you, the only hope is to explain the situation to Apple customer support and see if you can persuade them to make an exception and let you download again. -

When I go to purchaced apps there is a blank where the icloud icon should be. All the apps work fine on my ipad. Also, my phone is telling me that I have three updates (all apps that I can't get back on my phone), and there is no way to update those apps.

I purchased an application that offered all kinds of books, imbedded within, at no cost...now on IPAD all like books, study guides, are imbedded for purchase. I dont see why I have to pay for the application twice...It was Olive Bible : offering on my phone at least 5-10 different translation, plus 20+ books by the old Church preachers dating back to the reformation forward. Please advise how to access my iphone apps...already paid for...to install on my ipad.
If they are still in the store and you are signed in with the same account (and they are compatible with iPads) then you should be able to download them on your iPad via the Purchased tab in the App Store app - you may need to tap the 'iPad Apps' button at the top left of that screen and select 'iPhone Apps' instead.
Or if you have on your computer's iTunes you can connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar (on iTunes 11 you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC) and then use the Apps tab on the right-hand side of iTunes to select and sync them to your iPad. -
How can I get my YouTube app back without losing my data?
So I just got the iOS 6 update for my iPad 2. After the downloading was done I wanted to look something up on YouTube. But when I went to look the app was gone. I couldn't find it in the search or anything. Can someone help me get it back?
It might but like all iPhone apps on the iPad. It will come in small in which case I would have to enlarge it and if you enlarge it the picture gets more blurred. Do you have a better idea? No disrespect intended
