The main issue is that there is something wrong with the sound device ,right ?
Is it a built-in device or an external plug-in device ?

Considering it worked before ,we also can try to perform a system restore (Search "System Restore") to recover the machine to a previous point to have a check .Please note that we will lose the configurations after the restore point.

Hi, I'm very new to all this; so apols if asking dumb stuff...
I've successfully used Edge Commons to get an audio effect to play in a timeline but it will only play once. Does anyone know how I can get it to play again at various trigger points?

Then in a trigger on the timeline I have:

As said, the above plays fine, one time... but if I place another, 'EC.Sound.play("bubbles");' trigger further along on the timeline nothing happens. Similarly, if the audio has played already and the timeline loops, the audio won't play a second time. I'm thinking I need to write in some sort of 'unload' type of thing so it knows to play again when it hits the new trigger? Or I might just be talking cobblers? Who knows? I certainly don't which is why I so desperately need help... please x

Also I 'accidentally' discovered (which may be of some help to anyone else who's new to all this) that the code which I'd used (see first post, above) ony runs the audio once when in preview mode. However, when the Edge Animate file is published the code works pefectly and when the second trigger is reached the audio plays a second time.
I'm guessing that when the 'publish' facility is utilsed the code is properly compiled (or something like that???) which is why it runs okay.
Anyway, whatever... the problem's solved! Hurrah! (Thanks Resdesign!) x x

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem..

Don't drag the midi into an open Logic project. The tracks won't set up correctly.
'Open' the midi file with Logic as if it were a Logic project. Then all the tracks will be set up so you can start editing them and applying better saved sounds and instruments, but you'll be at a starting place where you can hear what's going on.

It sounds like you might have the shuffle button at the bottom left of the iTunes (the button with the squiggly lines).
If that's not the case, then maybe you just need to sort your library by album by clicking the album tab at the top.
Is your music in a playlist, or are you trying to play it from the entire library?

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

As Steve observes, what you are talking about is called "PiP," or Picture in Picture.
He has given you the basics of creating a "split-screen" PiP, and that should be exactly what you wish to do.
For more detail, plus more ways to do PiP, I strongly recommend his book, Cool Tricks & Hot Tips for Adobe Premiere Elements 11, from Muvipix. He has an entire chapter (Chapter 10) on PiP, and many of its uses, with detailed instructions on the settings to accomplish it. Just that one chapter is worth the price of the book.

I have this same problem. On the photo tab I used to have it checked for everything to sync. But it gets stuck on syncing the photos and doesnt complete. The events on my Mac stopped syncing to other devices as soon as I got a new ipad air. The events that were on iphoto at that time are the last to show on all other devices. When I am in photo tab i cant even select the events that havent synced because they are showing as a choice. But they are an event in iphoto on the Mac. Frustrated.

the iphone is not a good sound recorder so if you whannting to record your self playing you need to consider were the mic is on the phone and how fare it is a way from the piano but if i was you i would record the video and get a mic in the senter of the piano and record both of thoes and the in the mac software sycranize them both to gever to get the best.

The adapter to HDMI doesn't carry sound from a MacBook earlier than the Mid 2010 models and most TVs don't have separate RCA input plugs for audio with the HDMI inputs since they expect the sound to be carried by the HDMI plug. The simplest -- and safest way for both sides -- is to use the same sort of cable you use for the AUX port on your car -- an min-jack to min-jack cable.
