I have seen this question asked before, but have not seen an answer that works. A small white square appears in the top left corner of the display. Open applications cover it, but not the monitor display.

Double click the home button then swipe the google app up to close it. If that doesn't work, press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Actually, that's not on the Home screen, it is on the multitasking or App Switcher view so only shows up when you enter that mode (so I'm not to clear as to why it is so "irritating", but whatever).
Settings app > Mail,Contacts,Calendars > scroll down to CONTACTS section] > Show in App Switcher

Change your home page to a non-firefox one. If you want google as your home page, do the following: 
#Go to google.com 
#Click the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | General. 
#Make sure it says "Show My Home Page" in the dropdown menu at the top and then click the button called "Use Current Pages".

First thing I think would be to do a search for the folder in case it's somehow got moved.
Failing that, you can retrieve the folder from your original installer disc using Pacifist.
Insert the disc (don't boot from it) and open the installer package with Pacifist. Navigate to the Desktop Pictures folder (might be a bit more fiddly to find in the package structure). When you find it, select the folder, right-click (or ctrl-click) and select 'install in default location' from the context menu.
Exit Pacifist and eject the disc.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Since Oct. 7 last I have a 5S. Before had a 4S. About 4S no complaints, so the 5S maybe faster, better cam and so on but what I really hate it that stupid white circle in a black square you can move around on your screen. However when you want to open, for instance <messages> and that white circle is very near, messages will not be opened but a uselless black sub scrn with favorites, Siri, Device, Home. How can I get rid of that or delete or move it, it will no longer be visible on my scrn.

I sought help among the available articles. I was informed that right clicking on a vacant part of the toolbar would give me the option to delete or hide it. Doesn't seem to work with this one. In fact, right clicking anywhere on this row isn't working. If I right click the "startnow" icon, it takes me to that page. I really don't want this toolbar, as it wastes my desk space. How can I get my Windows Lightroom photos to show in the correct order on Apple TV?

I use Lightroom on Windows 7 and iTunes as well as a current generation Apple TV. When I export a set of photos in a specific order from Lightroom, the files are named in the proper sequence, but when the photos are displayed in the Apple TV viewer, they do not show in filename sequence. They apparently show in the date the photos were taken by my camera. I have a mix of scanned images and photos in my desired sequence, so the Apple TV is next to useless in showing them as a slideshow on my large screen TV.
My investigation led me to believe that Apple TV was showing the photos in the date taken, so I instructed Lightroom to omit that data on the exported files, and the date taken shows as missing on Windows, but in the Apple TV they still show in the same sequence.

Me again. I'm pretty sure I found a solution to my problem. I had changed the order of my slides more than once, and it turned out that the "wrong" sequence that Apple TV was using for my slides was the original sequence, not the latest sequence. I found that when I deleted the Apple TV Photo Cache folder and database, it got rebuilt by iTunes and the slide sequence was correct. I have no reason why the order did not automatically get updated. I'm on the rails now!

Ver16.0.2..How can I get rid of an annoying pop up in the lower left of the screen that is difficult to remove. I t began with an update last week.

The pop up appears with every new tab. It has an extremely small delete "X" icon if you can find it...The pop up interferes visually with every tab and must be carefully manually deleted each time. It is always located in the lower left bottom of the screen. It is a window about 3 inches square. It began last week with an automatic download. That problem has nothing to do with format settings. It is a burn-in, which is set in the view settings (timeline panel), and also you can deactivate in the render settings.

Let's just say I have saved bookmarks of things that i do NOT want my friends to see when they use my computer occasionally. I know they could go and find these bookmarks anyway in the bookmarks menu but they dont snoop around my computer. i would rather it not just pop up when they go to search for something or type in a webpage. If there is no way to customize what shows up in the drop down menu for search results then that is something apple overlooked. Not everybody wants things all in one place. Whats the point of deleting search history and website history if its just going to show the certain things you have bookmarked? Any solution to this would be appreciated. One solution i thought would work was disabling search from suggesting, but i guess that only supresses the webpages not the url/search bar. Oh and this is for safari 6.0.2 please dont give me outdated advice.
