How can I get rid of an unused (blank) toolbar at the top of my page?

I have a fully blank toolbar area at the top of my page, which takes away from the space on my screen? Is there a way to close it?

You can select which toolbars to show or hide here: View > Toolbars
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.

Actually, that's not on the Home screen, it is on the multitasking or App Switcher view so only shows up when you enter that mode (so I'm not to clear as to why it is so "irritating", but whatever).
Settings app > Mail,Contacts,Calendars > scroll down to CONTACTS section] > Show in App Switcher

That problem has nothing to do with format settings. It is a burn-in, which is set in the view settings (timeline panel), and also you can deactivate in the render settings.

Change your home page to a non-firefox one. If you want google as your home page, do the following: 
#Go to google.com 
#Click the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | General.

I sought help among the available articles. I was informed that right clicking on a vacant part of the toolbar would give me the option to delete or hide it. Doesn't seem to work with this one. In fact, right clicking anywhere on this row isn't working. If I right click the "startnow" icon, it takes me to that page. I really don't want this toolbar, as it wastes my desk space. How do I get rid of it?

How can I get rid of a phantom blank CD appearing in Finder?

OK, so I'm having trouble with the CD-DVD superdrive in my MacBook pro.
I can't get it to reliably detect a disk and work with it.
Copied a Granddaughter's birthday disk mix that I wanted to make copies of for her cousins.
Had a heck of a time getting the drive to recognize a blank disk. Couldn't even et it ejected till I restarted holding the Option button till I could press the eject button once the start-up disk selection screen appeared.
And then I got lucky and was able to burn one copy.
Inserting the second disk to copy - nothing.
Got it ejected somehow, but its icon remains in the finder "Untitled CD 2" with the burn icon after it.
Restarted the computer, the icon reappeared.
And it's existence is blocking me from doing anything else.
If I insert a blank CD, it comes up also with the burn icon next to it.
In iTunes, if I select the music I want to burn, all I can do is export.
In the finder, it just wants burn either one as a blank disk.
How do I get back to square 1 with normal responses?

Before downloading the newest Firefox, my persona at the top of the display screen showed at least 1/2 of the firefox. Now it's only the ears. How do I show more of it? Stupid question, I know, but it's bugging me.

You can add extra empty toolbars if you want to see more of the persona.
You can create extra toolbars to get extra space via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
You have to put something on a toolbar (drag a Space item onto it) before closing the Customize window because empty toolbars are automatically removed.

I tried to attach this image in an ai file, but I got an error saying this: [The content type of this image is not allowed.]
Does anyone know why I can't send this ai file. It's not too big, it's only 194 kb. Anyway, my other question refers to this diagram. I'm very, very new to illustrator. The very top of this illustration is the very top of my work area in illustrator.As you can see, where the curves are cut at the top, they don't look that "nice" in that they aren't cropped horizontally. What I want to do is crop vertically down the left side of this illustration and then crop horizontally across the top so it's nice smooth edging for the work. Does anyone know how I would crop this. This isn't the finished product. I want to continue working, and this work will fill out a rectangle. So maybe, the best thing to do is complete it all, and just crop all four sides. How does one crop in illustrator? I saw a cropping post here, but it was a little more complicated than what I want to do.

Ver16.0.2..How can I get rid of an annoying pop up in the lower left of the screen that is difficult to remove. I t began with an update last week.

The pop up appears with every new tab. It has an extremely small delete "X" icon if you can find it...The pop up interferes visually with every tab and must be carefully manually deleted each time. It is always located in the lower left bottom of the screen. It is a window about 3 inches square. It began last week with an automatic download. I want it removed or I will be swiftly returning to Explorer or perhaps Google Chrome...Thanking you in advance

Where is the link/command to uninstall the beta version i agreed to try a few weeks ago?
Among other issues:

How can I get rid of "History and Bookmarks" section from the search history drop down menu in safari 6.0.2?

Let's just say I have saved bookmarks of things that i do NOT want my friends to see when they use my computer occasionally. I know they could go and find these bookmarks anyway in the bookmarks menu but they dont snoop around my computer. i would rather it not just pop up when they go to search for something or type in a webpage. If there is no way to customize what shows up in the drop down menu for search results then that is something apple overlooked. Not everybody wants things all in one place. Whats the point of deleting search history and website history if its just going to show the certain things you have bookmarked? Any solution to this would be appreciated. One solution i thought would work was disabling search from suggesting, but i guess that only supresses the webpages not the url/search bar. Oh and this is for safari 6.0.2 please dont give me outdated advice.

How can I get new tabs to appear blank instead of with a Yahoo search page?

Previously when I would open a new tab on Firefox, I would get a blank page, which loaded fast. Then I could go to whatever page I wanted. It was great. Now when I open a new tab, I get a Yahoo search page. It loads slowly, and I never use Yahoo. I prefer Google for searches.

I disabled the Freeze.com NetAssistant 3.6.5. add-on and my new tab returned to being blank.
