How can I get rid of those "partly watched" tags?
Ever since the most recent iTunes update, those annoying "partly watched" icons have been infesting my library.
I say "annoying," because in the case of TV shows, if you don't watch the ending credits to the very end, it ALWAYS comes up "partly watched."
I have searched the help database, and checked out all the menus, and there doesn't appear to be a "Clear tag" option (so I could reset them all to "Watched.")
Ideally, of course, Apple would recognize that a show watched until the end credits start IS "completely watched." This would be relatively easy to program, so I suggest it for the next upgrade.
Even if they do make the fix, though, I am still stuck with hundreds of "partly watched" tags.
This makes the "number of episodes remaining" feature (the number that shows up on the album cover) useless, as there now is no way to see which shows have unwatched episodes short of remembering them and/or clicking the album.
The PC users apparently have a way to select episodes and clear the tags, but if there is a way for Mac users to do this, I haven't been able to find it.

There is a way to do this.
You will need to click on the episode in question, then right click and select "Mark as watched."
You may also want to command-click on a large number of the same series and then try to do the above.

when i go to a web page that annoying adv on the bottom left opens and covers part of the work i am looking at and i don't want it at all. it is annoying and bothersome.. how do i stop in cold.. come on Microsoft surely your aren't that desperate for money that yo have to revert to stupid annoying ads like those.. i find most of them insulting and especially for children that happen to be using Firefox to look up school work. if you need the money that badly i will throw you a benefit.
Have you checked for malware? Run Adwcleaner and use the article linked below.

I can understand wanting to organize and arrange your Safari bookmarks in a way that is beneficial to you. There may be a couple of different solutions to this. The attached article explains how you can see your bookmarks using the Show or hide the sidebar button as well as enabling the Favorites bar which is similar to previous versions of Safari.

When I open a page in Safari, there is a bar to the left side that obscures some of the text on the page. It contains icons for different ways of sharing a page, such as Facebook, tweet etc. I would like to make them go away. But they seem stuck there.

we have a long list of disabled/deleted users in AD
Somehow, they are still appeared as active user in Sharepoint Online.
How do we get rid of those list?
Hope you can advice. Thanks.SharePoint does not remove users from SharePoint permissions just because they were deleted/disabled in AD. This is to maintain referential integrity. In fact, when you delete a user from SharePoint, that user remains in the SharePoint content database,
just marked as deleted.
They do not have access to SharePoint given their account is deleted/disabled. But as far as automatically managing this, I'm not aware of a tool. On-prem there is Metalogix ControlPoint which does a great job of this, I haven't explored the O365 options.

If the app is no longer installed on the iPad then you should get prompts about updates to it in the App Store app - as efectively there is nothing for it to update. If you are being prompted to download updates to them then are you sure that they are no longer on the iPad ?
If you are being prompted on your computer's iTunes then if you delete them for the App part of you computer's Library then you shouldn't be prompted about them. -
In Mail on iMac, successfully running OS X Lion, one mailbox on My Mac for "Recovered Messages (from AOL)" keeps showing 1 very large message (more than 20 Mb) that I just cannot seem to delete. Each time I go into my In Box, the "loading" symbol spins and the message appears in the "Recovered Messages" mailbox. How can I get rid of this recurrent file, please?
At the same time, I'm not receviving any new mails in my In Box, although, if I look at the same account on my MacBook Pro, I can indeed see the incoming mails (but on that machine I do not have the "recovery" problem).
The help of a clear-thinking Apple fan would be greatly appreciated.

I worked it out.
Unhide your hidden files ( I used a widget from http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/developer/hiddenfiles.html)
Go to your HD.
Go to Users.
Go to your House (home)
there should be a hidden Library folder there (it will be transparent)
Go to Mail in this folder
The next folder ( for me ) is V2
Click on that and the next one will be a whole list of your mail servers, and one folder called Mailboxes
Click on that and there should be a folder called recovered messages (server) . mbox
Click on that there a random numbered/lettered folder -> data
In that data folder is a list of random numbered folders (i.e a folder called 2, one called 9 etc) and in EACH of these, another numbered folder, and then a folder called messages.
In the messages folder delete all of the ebmx (I think that's what they were from memory, sorry I forgot as I already deleted my trash after my golden moment).
This was GOLDEN for me. Reason being, when I went to delete my "recovered file" in mail, it would give me an error message " cannot delete 2500 files". I knew it was only 1 file so this was weird. Why 2500 files? Because if you click on the ebmx files like I did, hey presto, it turned out that they were ALL THE SAME MESSAGE = 2500 times. In each of those folders in the random numbers, in their related message folder.
Now remember - DONT delete the folder, make sure you have gone to the message folder, found all those pesky ebmx files and deleted THOSE, not the folder.
It worked for me. No restarting or anything. And recovered file. GONE.
Started receiving and syncing mail again. Woohoo.

When I go to type in my username on yahoo or facebook, it shows my username and others that I typed wrong. The problem with this is that one time I typed my password in there and now if someone gets on my computer they can find out what my password is. How do I get rid of those?

How can I get rid of the sign in prompt when I use google?
I just upgraded firefox. I am searching in google and every time I put in a search or turn a page I get a sign-in box asking for my goole password. How can I get rid of this, it is a nuisance.
Do you use any add-ons to enhance your privacy on Google? To make sure those also are the latest versions, try updating your extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, above the list, click the "gear" button and "Check for Updates".
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
Also, I believe Google requires third party cookies. This support article has the steps for making sure you are accepting website cookies: [[Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them]]. -
How can I get rid of old books that I have deleted from my device but still shows up as "purchased books" on "Icloud". I don't want to see some of these books at all. I can sort by one that are PDFs and ones currently on device, but it still gives option to show those old titles. Does anyone know how to erase your "Icloud" history, please?
Nooooooo! lol... If I want to download again I will, I don't want an electronic trail. Plus when I have Ibooks open, sometimes I will accidently hit the item and it will immediatly try to download it. The problem with that is that its "Time magazines Best Photos of 2012" etc and it locks up my IPAD cuz of sheer size of the book. So I would like it gone from the history. Isn't there a way to clear the history?

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

At least one of the items listed in the search window is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Test. -
I set and want my home page to be my school website, "northbranch.k12.mn.us" I have gone to option and set it as my home page. hello tomterrimort, if your manual changes don't 'stick' after a restart of the browser, please look out for any suspicious extensions (like 3rd-party-toolbars or things you have not installed intentionally) presently installed under '''firefox/tools > addons > extensions''' or the programs section of the windows control panel and remove those entries.
in case this doesn't solve the issue please try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named '''user.js''' (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.
