How can i get the music ive copied from cd onto my new computer

how can i get the music that i have copied from cd's on to my new computer.(the computer my phone was sync to blew up)  if i sync to the newit i will all the music  thats on my phone,

Restore from the backup of your old computer. Copy it from the CDs.
Look for a 3rd party app that can do what you want. Senuti has been
mentioned in the past - I do not use it so cannot comment on how
well it works. I would assume there are others as well.
iOS does not natively support syncing music back from the iPhone
to a computer.

My husband has an older shuffle that he wants to transfer to his new nano. The shuffle is synced with an old laptop and we don't know how to transfer the music without losing everything. Please help!!

when your computer crashes how do your get the music on your iphone back on your new computer?

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases

  • How can I get my music off my old ipod onto my new iphone?

I just got a new computer and have an ipod from a long time ago. I would like to get the music off the ipod and onto my computer and then put it onto my new iphone. I already have the cables and have installed iTunes but I don't know what to do. I'm afraid if I tell it to "sync" it will erase all the music already on my ipod because there's no music in my iTunes library currently.

So I've got an iPod classic with songs on it from the iTunes store, from CDs of my own, from free online playlists, etc. and when I plug it into my new Mac laptop the only songs that show up on iTunes are the ones I actually purchased in the iTunes store with my old computer (not a Mac). • How do I get the music on my i pod to my new computer with an empty librar

I acedently erased all my music on my i pod while I was out traveling, so I filled the ipod with a lot of music from another computer (so I cant just burn the music on to a cd/dvd).
Now I have just bougt a new computer and downloaded itunes and I would just like to know how I can get all the music on the i pod into the itunes library on my new computer...??

You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. As iTunes 7 is just out some of these may not have caught up with it yet though I haven't experienced any problems with the Mac software I use.

There is a new function in iTunes 7 under File, "Transfer Purchases from iPod" which transfers iTMS purchases. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer

I have all my music on an external media drive that has crashed. How can I get the music of my ipod touch back onto the comupter without loosing the music when it syncs. in order to start rebuilding my music collection?

You should be able to recover the media with the tips in  this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings. You can probably transfer your purchases into a newly authorised library, backup the device, recover any other media using third party tools, then restore the device from the backup. That should switch the assocation of the device to the new library but it is not something I've personally tested.
When you get it all working, make a backup!

  • HT1848 how can i get the music from itunes on my pc to transfer to my iphone?

how can i get the music from itunes on my pc to transfer to my iphone?

The only supported method to get media onto an iDevice is via iTunes.  Read the User's Guide it will describe how to do this in detail.
iCloud does not put media on the device, but using iTunes Match and iCloud it is possible to have access to all media that exists on your computer, but only when the device has Internet access.  It will not load media onto the device.
Use of 3rd party tools to transfer files to the device is not supported.
