How can I get the windows operating system login?
My application needs no authentication, but I would like to be able to identify the user by their windows login. For tracking etc. Is this available in XE Application Express?

It comes with an installer, it is really easy.
Oracle has a version of Apache included in their distributions, but you would require a license for that. Since Oracle XE has an embedded pl/sql gateway, you should just do fine using the original Apache.
No, you don't need the REMOTE_ADDR workaround, just be aware of the limitation.

I just got a new upgrade iphone from a 3G to 4G. My son updated the software with Icloud. I do not like it, it drains my battery. How do I get the old operating system back (without icloud). You don't. Since you have an Intel Mac, buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store.

How can i get the details on system before 2 months

To find the Total cpu time , cummulative users we go for St03 and extract it. The details are available for only last 2 months. How can i get the prevous months details. Is there any special job or parameter meant on SAP behalf, so tat it clears the history. If it runs kindly tel me wat job or parameter it is. And also tel how can i get the previous months details.

U should ask that to your basis, I know the system has the statistic data for a certain period only, the older data are deleted: I don't know if before deleting it a backup is done....but I don't believe

There is a horizontal band or gap above the Firefox window at the top of the screen, where you can see the Windows desktop behind the Firefox window. On the left side of this band are the window tabs, and the menu bar, and another bar with the names of the open windows. I would like to have the Firefox window expand to fill the entire screen, like it did before the upgrade. Thanks.

How can I get the window to expand when the TOC is shown?
Hello all,
We have changed our javascript call to open WebHelp in a narrow window. By design and by default, the TOC does not initially show.
When the "Show TOC" button is clicked, we wish for the window to expand to accomodate the navigation pane. As it is, the two pains will share the narrow window, making things unuable until the user manually resizes the window. Not exactly user-friendly.
By default, the Help window opens at 290 X 745.
When the nav pane is expanded, we'd like the window size to become 570 X 745 to accomodate the added width of the TOC.

You can use the following FM to read the currently logged in windows user id:
DATA: w_userid TYPE char20.
CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_GET_DESKTOP_INFO'
EXPORTING
type = '5'
CHANGING
return = w_userid.
WRITE: 'Windows User ID:', w_userid.

You should run a Genuine diagnostic and then post your results in the
Windows Genuine Forums. There may be a very easy technical fix to get you running again. Please read the directions below first:

How can I get the windows regional settigs such as Decimal point setting
I have the problem that the Labview program I wrote uses the regional settings to format numbers to string. I know one can change this in 6.0 but I am using instrument drivers and the total library has 200 or more vi in it. I don't have the time to edit all of these. So I would like to check the regional settings and then inform the user that he/she may need to change this, or even that the program will remotly change these settings. Any ideas or example code ?
Another way of reading it is through the registry. Just open a key:
+ Open Registry Key.vi
+ HKEY_CURRENT_USER or HKEY_USERS (root key)
+ Control Panel\International (subkey)
+ read key/write key (security access mask)
Use 'read registry value simply' or 'write registry value simply' to read or
to modify 'sDecimal'.
And remember :
+ to be active in LV, you must restart LV!
+ you should change 'sThousand' also!
+ close the key!

If you are using a Virtual Machine like Vmware you should check with Vmware to see what versions of Windows run in their virtual machine. It is not Windows that has to be compatible with your Apple computer when using a virtual machine, it is the virtual machine version that must be compatible.

The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard. The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion. The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1 can run 10.8 Mountain Lion.
To see which model you have go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up check the Model Identifier and post it back here.
The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

Once you are at 10.6.8 Lion is still available from Apple. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. to purchase it. Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.
