How can I get Time Capsule to see my printer?

My HP Laserjet 5P with USB runs fine when directly connected to the iMac using Gutenprint 5.2.3...
But TimeCapsule will not see it when connected to the TimeCapsule USB port
Have used Airport Utility/Manual Settings but printer does not appear
Have powered down / powered up both TimeCapsule and printer - still nothing
Ideas/suggestions welcome!!

It must have found the old backup corrupt.. so you will more than likely have little choice. You can archive off the old backup if it is still useful.

You need to get an external HD for the "overflow" of stuff that won't fit on your Mac.
Format it for a Mac (see #1 in Using Disk Utility), even if it says it's compatible.
Then copy what you want to the external HD. Most things you can just drag and drop; but for iTunes and iPhotos see: Moving your iTunes Music folder and Moving your iPhoto '11 Library.
Then let your Time Capsule back up both your Mac and the external HD. See Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #32 for info and details.

Can't get Time Capsule to appear in AirPort Utility

Have been mucking with my new Time Capsule and somewhere during that process have done something which is preventing Time Capsule from appearing in my AirPort utility which is frustrating as **** cause now I can't change any of its settings.
I'm within range. Have attempted to connect via wireless and ethernet. Have turned on and off several times. Have reset it with the pin hole at the back.
The wireless network it is currently configured to host will appear after a reset in my wireless menu. But will still not appear in AirPort utility.
How do I get Time Capsule to re appear in AirPort utility so that I can properly configure it.

Have you followed the steps on page 30 of your TC Setup Guide?
Did you do a factory reset?

Once you have the drive connected to your Mac, click System Preferences (gear icon) on the dock
Click Time Machine
Click Options
Be default, the hard drive will be Excluded from backups. Click the drive to highlight it, then click the "-" (minus) button at the bottom of the list to remove the drive from Excluded items.
The drive will be backed up on the next Time Machine pass
Everything above assumes that the hard drive has been formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as Time Machine will only backup drives in that format.

I then upgraded to IMove 10.0.4 and also moved my iMovie Library to the secondary hard drive. When I highlight the iPhoto Library in iMovie there is nothing there. Any ideas on how to get iMove to find my relocated iPhoto Library?

I think I may have solved my own problem. I left cliked on the relocated iPhoto Library and went to "Open with >." I then went to "Other...." I then set the wind located in the bottom labled "Enable:" to "All Applications" and picked iMovie. It gave me a error, but the ultimate result was that iMove now was linked to my iPhoto Library.

Or, it is set the other way around (which makes more sense). Even though you are in Landscape mode, it is binding on the Long Side of the paper. Since you are in Landscape, you would want it to bind on the short side.
Think of the Binding like a Book. How would you flip the finished pages to read the “book.” Where it would be bound in the imaginary book is how you want it to print.

If it is your own conference bridge you can create a new contact named "My Bridge" and enter your 1800 number along with a "wait" command and pass code and #. It would look something like this 1-800-555-5555;12345678#. This way when you tell Siri to call "My Bridge" she'll dial and then you'll notice an option in the lower left to dial the pass code. Press that and you're all set. You can do the same for frequent conference bridges you connect to. Hope this helps.

How can I get my Post Script files to print from a designated side?

We're printing Cards through a PS combatible printer.
The Vertical Cards are flat fed through the printer and the image is printing.
However, I cannot consistently get the image to print out from the same side.
Using Illustrator CS2, CS3 and CS4, we were able to get good results only using CS3.
Since most of us are using CS4, we'll need to make this work, rather than toggling
between versions.
There must be some parameters that we are missing.
Suggestions?

Sounds more like an issue with the various combinations of AI and the PostScript printer drivers producing different PS being sent to the printer and naturally the printer producing a result based on the interpretation, which is perfectly correct. Short of printing it as bitmap data I don't see an easy way to fix this. this clearly requires som computer person to check it hands on and install the correct drivers and define the correct default settings...

I have all of my music stored on my Time Capsule, I'm using it as an external hard drive, however, my WiFi comes through my school's campus routers. How can I connect to their WiFi, but still be able to access the files on my Time Capsule?

You can set the TC to join the campus wifi but I do not recommend that method. You make the TC available to everybody in the process.. and it will be super slow. All files to and from your TC, then go via the campus routers and wifi system.
You cannot have two independent wireless connections at the same time..
You can use ethernet to the TC.. this is fastest and best method.. keeps the TC totally isolated from the network.
Or you can use a USB wireless stick in the computer to join a second wireless network.. I recommend using 5ghz as it is much faster.

How do I get Time Machine to "see" my NAS device?

I recently set up a Drobo 5N for NAS. It works fine with my iMac. That is, Time Machine on the desktop immediately found the storage device and appears to be backing up to it. However, Time Machine on my Macbook Pros on my home network do not see the device at all. They do show the Airport Extreme (the Drobo is attached to Airport Extreme via Ethernet). The Firewall on the Macbook Pro has been turned off. All other networking functions seem to work fine. All the computers in question are running Mountain Lion. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Backing up to a third-party NAS with Time Machine, if it works at all, is risky, and unacceptably risky if it's your only backup. This is an example of what can happen.
If you want network backup with Time Machine, use as the destination either an Apple Time Capsule or an external hard drive connected to another Mac or a mini-tower (802.11ac) AirPort base station. Only the 802.11ac base station supports Time Machine, not any previous model.

Works like a charm.
Until you get a message that your iPhoto Library is corrupted. It will happen.....the only thing is that you will not know is when this will happen.
There are two kinds of users who try to run the iPhoto Library from the Time Capsule.......those that are having problems, and those that will have problems.
Question: Is it ok to now delete these huge (approx 30GB on 3 folders) from my macbook drive...?
Let's see.....you deleted the files from your MacBook.....so now the only remaining version of your iPhoto Library is on your Time Capsule.
When....not if...the Time Capsule has a problem.......what will you do when you you cannot access the iPhoto Library?
