How can I give portal membership users email accounts?

Anyone who has been on https://www.services-on-demand.com will see that when you register as a member you get email and calendar. How do you configure this as I can do it with LDAP users on portal but how do you setup the mail server to read portal members???

Its actually the other way around, portal authenticates the users from the mail and calendar through ldap authentication and you can map attribute values from the mail and calendar ldap through external ldap mapping.
They have a custom auth module that creates the users locally in the portal as well as in the mail and calendar ldap.
The portal user is not an actual ldap user but just a portal profile.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

She just needs to sign up for iCloud in her own user account on your Mac.

HT201320 how can i stop automatic configuration of email accounts on my ipad...the ports are not correct and i cannot access my email

i cannot get my "frontier" email account set up on my ipad so that i cannot either or receive email. Frontier says that the "automatic" verifying tool puts the wrong ports in and that is why i cannot get or send emails from the ipad. We know we have the correct name and password in but when in comes to verifying, an error message comes up and says "the wrong user name or password has been entered".
How do i disable the automatic set up of email so i can be assured the correct ports are enabled?

-Tap "Settings" app,

-On the right, under "Accounts" on top, tap "Add Account...",

Calendars can be synced with either vCal or EAS accounts such as Google or Microsoft accounts. You can't link or sync a calendar with a 'regular' POP or IMAP mail account.

Go to "Setting"; scroll down to the 4th box for "iCloud"; You need to turn on you "Mail" option in the "iCloud" settings.
Then,
Go into "Settings", scroll down to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"; on the left panel, scroll down to the 4th box; there you'll find the "Default Account" settings.

How can I delete old (non-active) email accounts that don't show in the Accounts Preferences pane?

Since I (reluctantly) abandoned MobileMe and switched to iCloud, when I use Mail Connection Doctor because a problem is indicated with one or more of my email acocunts, it shows both iCloud IMAP and Me.com SMTP accounts. The iCloud account is fine but the SMTP acount has a red button against it.
So Connection Doctor shows the old SMTP account always failing to connect (of course - as it's been abandoned). However, this account does not show up in the Accounts Preferences pane so I am not able to delete it. This also happens with another account which I deleted in the Preferences pane some time ago.
How can I stop these phantom accounts appearing in Connection Doctor? It's very irritating to constantly have faults indicated which apply to abandoned accounts.

Go to your iCloud account in Preferences>Accounts. Set the 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' drop-down menu to 'Edit SMTP server list'. Then:
Set the server name as shown here. Then click the Advanced tab and check the settings.
If you are still having problems, you could start the setup again from scratch. Assuming that your signature is correct and you are running Leopard, delete any iCloud or MobileMe accounts in the list and then follow the instructions here:

How can I delete an old exchange email account

I have a new iPad Air. I restored it from a backup of my old iPad 3. My work exchange email account came with it but does not work. When I followed the procedures my work support provided I found a new email account was created with the same name. I tried to delete the old exchange account but there is no DELETE option. I checked and I have no restrictions enabled. I was able to make the old exchange account inactive by turning off mail/contacts/calendar/reminders.
Please advise on how to delete this account.

Brendan, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately neither of these helped. There are no checkboxes ticked for Safari (and I only use Firefox, generally) and I am able to sign in after signing off. But when I go to sign in here I get the [email protected] filled in as in the attached. And I have been using [email protected] as my defsult email and also my Apple ID user name since before there was an iCloud. So what now?

How can I get back into my email account?

I hope there is a fairly easy solution to this because I'm not good with computers. I cannot receive any emails on my .mac.com account as the reason states "reason for failure 550.5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias". Also it does not recognize my password. When I first got my computer there wasn't a problem sending or receiving mail, however, I have not used the iMac for a few months, and now I have this problem.
