How can I go back to 7.0 from 8.0 evaluation?

I have been using Labview 7.0 for a while now, and I have been happy
with it. A new project came up that has pretty specific requirementsy,
so I thought that an upgrade to 8.0 would be in order. I installed the
8.0 evaluation version and have been using it for about 20 days. I
don't feel that the upgrade would be worth the money, so I want to move
back to using 7.0. My problem is that the 8.0 installer seems to have
converted every single VI on my computer to labview 8.0 format, even
ones that I have never opened with 8.0. I do not have a licence for 7.1
so saving everything to a previous version isn't an option. I do have
archives, but right now I am looking at losing about a month's work if
I can't get the newer files back. What do I need to do in order to get
my files back so I can work with 7.0 again?

The LabVIEW 8.0 installer does not modify any VIs outside its install directory (usually Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0). Are you referring to the icon of the VIs that you see in Windows Explorer? It's true that a LabVIEW 8.0 install will change the appearance of the icon for any file on the file system ending in the extension ".vi", but the files themselves are not modified. If you uninstall LabVIEW 8.0, and a previous version of LabVIEW is still on the system, you should see the icons of ".vi" files go back to the old, traditional 7.0 style.
If the VIs themselves have somehow been modified and saved in 8.0 format, I'm guessing that may have happened from an ill-advised mass compile. When you mass compile VIs, they are re-saved in whatever version of LabVIEW you used to perform the mass compile. So if you have indeed saved the VIs in LabVIEW 8.0 format, then in order to use them in LabVIEW 7.0, you will either need to restore the VIs from backups you have made, or do a two-step Save for Previous...saving first from 8.0 to 7.1, then from 7.1 to 7.0.

I recently downloaded Mac OS X Lion, but I can't stand it. I've heard you can't get a refund from the app store but I'm not sure how that works and I'd realy like my money back. Also, if I do downgrade, I'm not sure how to back up my files. I have music, documents, and pictures I don't want to lose. I don't have time machine. How can I view backed up iPhoto images from another computer?

Hi! I have an iMac, and a MacBook Pro. I have backed up both my iMac and MBP to a Seagate FreeAgent 1 TB external hard drive. I am going abroad, and I want to delete my photos from my MBP. Before I do that I want to be sure that I can still be able to view them on MBP while I am away instead of keeping them on my computer. So, I went into my iMac backup on my MBP and I tried to open my iPhoto Library, but I received this message... "The iPhoto library is a Time Machine backup, and so cannot be used as the main library. Reopen iPhoto with the Option key held down to choose another library."
Is there anyway to be able to open both of my iPhoto libraries that are backed up on my hard drive with both my computers? Or can I only view the images on the computer they were originally on? Because in that case then I can't delete the photos from my MBP like I had planned.

You can't open them with iPhoto but you can view and restore individual photos in the backups. See the gray box towards the end of Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #15.

If you did not backup the contents to iCloud, there is no way to recover material from a lost/stolen iOS device. You have to have it in your possession to get material off the iPod.

How can I go back the same song that was playing when I switched and watched a movie?

How can I go back to the same song and place in the song that was playing when I started watching a movie? I have over 6k songs and now my ipod always goes back to #1 even though I may have been listening to # 321. How do I ever get to listen to all my songs. Yes I have it on random but if I look at the songs I have played lots of them have played 15-20 times amd many more 6-8 times. At this point I don't feel I will ever hear the latest songs I added.

One area that this appears is on Facebook where it lists the number of Recognized Devices. There are six devices which include iPad and iPhone. These items are grayed and you are unable to change. Also on my iphone it lists the computer name. This name is different from name of my computer. It's what I signed in as when I installed the Mountain Lion upgrade. I have a application which has been developed in ASP .NET, Version 4.0. Help link has been created in this application wherein here the Start up page of index.htm has been linked to be read from the RoboHelp local project folder\!SSL!\Multiscreen_HTML5\desktop. All are working absolutely fine except when
I login into the above-said application -> click on the Help page -> the index.htm opens with Contents, Index, Glossary -> Am able to successfully perform any task by respective clickings
-> But I am not able to get back into my application when I click on the IE provided Back button (Alt+Left) -> Any amount of invoking Back button makes the system getting looped into this Start up page of index.htm only -> When I Close Tab (Ctrl + W) or Close ( X ) -> The window session gets closed and I have to repeat all by relogin once again.
How can I get back into my application aftermath invoking Start up page of index.htm ?
(I can always get back into the application easily by erasing those parts in the url which refers to this RoboHelp linkages – but this certainly looks non-polished work)

Hey Jeff, I used Internet Explorer 10.0.9200 and Google Chrome 26.0.1410. Alas - it is the same behavior.
(But Jeff : When I used Microsoft HTML Help as primary layout to generate chm file , My Help when launched from my Application opened in a new browser window and when I closed this Help browser window did not close my application. Looks like need to write few liner code to get this issue settled )

LR on your laptop is still a desktop version. It is just now able to upload to the cloud to replicate photos to either http://lightroom.adobe.com/ or an iPad that has LR Mobile installed.
I think you probably just want to change the LR 5 identity plate back so it doesn’t mention LR Mobile all the time. Hover over the identity-plate area, and click on the little triangle that appears, then choose Change Identity Plate.
