How can I graph a schedule?

OK, I've enjoyed creating some pretty snazzy sheets and charts with Numbers, but this one is stumping me.
I'm looking over our Film Festival entries, and I've created a sheet listing movies I want to see. Title, length (in minutes), and showtimes. Most films have 3 showtimes, none have more than 3.
I want to end up with a chart with a time/date axis, showing all the showtimes of all the movies I've selected, so I can see where films might overlap and what showtimes end up making an ideal double-feature (a film ends, and 10 - 20 minutes later, the next begins). But I have absolutely no idea how to create a graph based on time and duration. Anybody have any ideas?
(And if the Yosemite upgrade is a required part of the solution, no problem; I've not upgraded yet, but that will be happening shortly.)

That would possibly work, Wayne, but I think I've come up with a smoother method. I'm creating a large table, with rows delineating 15 minute increments from the start of the festival through it's 2-week length. (I could/should cut out middle-of-the-night times, but it was easier to just increment through.) Each column lists a movie. For each cell, if the time is within one of the showtimes of the movie (not less than start time, not more than start time + movie length), I mark the cell as TRUE, otherwise it is FALSE. Each TRUE cell is red on red; each FALSE cell is white on white.
I'm about ¼ way through, and so far, so good. But thanks for showing me an alternative.

It is not advisable to follow the above suggested method. The following will do what you want without complications.
1. On your Mac, go to http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a9479 and follow the instructions to share a calendar privately. If you have more than one calendar you want to share you will have to do each individually. You can choose whether she is able to edit it or whether it should be read-only.
2. If your wife does not have an iCloud account she will need to obtain one. When you share a calendar and nominate her to access it she will receive and email. All she has to do is to open the email and click 'Join Calendar'. This will add the calendar to her Calendar app on all devices and on icloud.com without affecting any other data. Again, this will have to be done individually if more than one calendar is involved.

How can you get the schedule of a single reoccurring job with Restart ability in Redwood to pause when it has failed...?

We need the Request Restart ability when scheduling a single reoccurring job in Redwood. Most of our jobs are scheduled in CHAINs which offers the Final Status Handler on Step level, and the schedule is "paused" when a job in the CHAIN has failed ( the next instance does not populate until the OP MSG has been Replied to) , and once the OPERATOR message is replied to, the CHAIN can resume running again ( desired ) . But we need this same ability when scheduling a single job not in a CHAIN. In our testing, we set up a job with Request Restart chosen on the Error , Killed and Unknown selections on the Restart Behavior Tab. But we found when a job is scheduled say once a day at 8AM, and when it fails, an OPERATOR msg appears allowing a Restart choice ( desired), but the next day's schedule also populates ( undesired) and we do NOT want the schedule to continue on yet because we need a chance to fix the error before the next insance runs for business reasons. So how can you get the schedule of a single reoccurring job with Restart ability in Redwood to pause when it has failed...?

Hello Fran,
You can wrap the job chain in a master job chain in the first step and set the final status handler there.
You can also set the Restart Behavior to 'Stop Submit Frame', in that case you will have to resubmit the job once you are finished troubleshooting.

Hi,
You can use Planning time fence (PTF) to reduce the nervousness in your system. Having a reasonable PTF (item-org level) will ensure that there are no sudden changes in the plan - hence lesser re-schedules.
Also, use order modifiers, if possible.

   I have a job and I know the name...I review in table TBTCO and I saw that this jobs is schedule at 11:00 AM and at 4:00 PM, but I need to change the schedule for this job..and that this job will execute al least four times during the day...I don´t know how can I change the schedule??
    I was thinking that if I run the transaction directly I can run, Im not sure, because I try to do in QAS environment... I when I try to run the program..the system doesn´t do anything..this mean I cant execute with F8, such as if I should be complete a parameter, but all the fields are completed.

I was reviewing the options that you send me, but Im confused about... if its possible edit the schedule that this job has in this moment, because if I enter the transaction SM36 or try to see SM37..in production environment I can´t see this schedule...
And Im not sure to do the correct steps to create something new... in QAS environment..I can´´t see this job.

How can I cancel a scheduled text notification? There is no "Cancel" in the history panel. On the right side there's Status "Preparing" and that's it.

Login to Folio Producer > Notification. Click on cancel on relevant queued notification.
Click YES on warning popup. This would cancel the Scheduled text notification. Contact DPS Enterprise Support if you face any issues, contact information is avilable in DPS dashboard.

How can I setup a scheduled task to run a Powershell Script delivered as a Group Policy Preference

I have a Powershell script I want to run only once when a user logs onto their system. This script would move all the PST files from the Local drive and the Home drive to a folder location within the users profile. I wanted to run this as a Windows 7 Scheduled Task using Group Policy Preferences. How can I get this to happen short of a logon script? I have updated all the machines to WMF 4.0 so could I use a Scheduled Job instead? I wanted to run the script as the logon user but elevated.#Start Outlook and Disconnect attached PST files.

I'm delivering this using Group Policy Preferences. It seems to fail or time out when run because the behavior is different if I run the script from within the PowerShell IDE. I added the parameters to the script and will try it again in the morning.

How can I create a scheduled java application/task?

Being a complete newbie to the Java language, I hope I am forgiven if the above is blindingly obvious.
I have a java application which I have developed that when run from the command prompt (java xyz) selects a bunch of records from my database, then creates a text file with the results. Pretty simple stuff.
My question is, how can I automate this process? I would like it to run every night at midnight. Will I have to create a batch file? If so, how? Help!!

Scheduling a task is a very Operating System dependent operation. It does not exist in some OS's without some kind of addin. Things of this sort are usually not done exclusively in Java, unless you want to have your application running all the time and simply perform some operation at a specific time (see Timer). Otherwise look on google.com for 'scheduler' and 'windows 98' for example.

I dont know about the CATS system. But when ur user selects the varaint, he should remove his own id and execute the query. This should display all the variants existing for that program. Then he can select the required variant.
The user can also save this varaint under his own ID

How can I graph muliple sets of y-values against a single set of x-values?

Hi. I am trying to write a VI that will take columns of data stored in a 2D array and plot it with the first column being the x-coordinates and all subsequent columns (different parameters) of data being y-coordinates. The number of these parameters is determined by the user, but it could be as high as 128. I think that I need to write a for loop that will pair each column of y-coordinates with the column of x-coordinates in a cluster, and then create an array of clusters to be plotted with an xy graph, but I am not sure how to do this.
Also, it would be nice if each parameters could be its own color so they can be distinguished on the graph (each parameter is over 40,000 data points)

What have you tried so far? A for-loop is a good way to do this since you have so many columns, and you can automatically have it create the array of clusters necessary for the XY graph. Basically you just need to index out the first column to get your X values, and then drive a for-loop for the number of Y values. You can determine this by simply using Array Size on the 2D array. It will return to you the number of rows and the number of columns. The coloring of each trace is automatic. One solution:

How can I locate a Scheduler job?

In the alert log, I see the following error :
ORA-12012: error on auto execute of job 2915
My question is - how do I find the definition for job 2915?
And before you say - "that's easy, it's in all_scheduler_jobs", it's
not in all_scheduler_jobs. The old dbms_job package had a column for
job number, but the Scheduler doesn't. I've scrutinized the definition for
all the Scheduler views, but nothing reveals the job number.
When I look at all the jobs listed in dba_scheduler_jobs, nothing seems
likely to be this mysterious job 2915.
Does anyone have any idea how I can locate it?

Actually I've been meaning to write this info up as a DBA tip, but never get round to doing it...
The job number referred to is in fact the Object ID of the Job when dealing with a new Scheduler job and not an original DBMS_JOB job.
Scheduler jobs are database objects now rather than just 'rows in a table' so have an object ID, visible in dba_objects. But the dba_scheduler jobs view does not display this column!
See this example, I create a Job that refers to a non existant procedure. The object ID matches that put into the alert log when it fails only a second later:

How can I delete local schedule tasks, if they do not show up in the left ARD pain

In ARD you can schedule task on the local machine.
Usually you can see the scheduled task in the left pain of the main window.
I deleated some schedules tasks, but the tasks continue excute every morning.
Is the a way to find these invisable scheduled tasks and remove them.
I would be happy to know if a data base needs to be edited or a file deleated

I like to see all scheduled jobs which have steps of a given user. It is not importent which user has planned the job, I just want to check the usernames wich are used for accomplishing the respective step (-> field "AUTHCKNAM").
In table " tbtcp" I can see the AUTHCKNAM for the jobsteps, but these table just contains the jobs which are in the state "finished/completed".
In table "tbtcs" I can see the scheduled jobs, but there I can't see the AUTHCKNAM
Do you know a table where I can see ALL Jobs or the scheduled ones and the AUTHCKNAM?

To modify rows the best way is with the Iterator (do a search in the weblogs for "Iterator")
However for what you want to do I've only seen this really work successfully with a standard HTML table not using the tableView.
