How can I group or link two audio tracks?

I sometimes have tracks that need to be syncronized and linked for editing, for example, a guitar recorded with mics and a pickup. I want to be able to make edits, crossfades, etc on both tracks as if they were one. If I move one,the other moves with it, and so on. In some other software, I can "group" tracks, much like grouping in a graphics editor (Cmd-G usually). I can't seem to find a way to do this in Logic. Maybe I'm just missing the right word. Is there a way?

It's called the same name 'Group'.
Open the Mixer.
Select both channels (pickup guitar and mic guitar).
Click on one channels dark grey slot (above OFF, below Stereo Out)
Pick the same group number for the two tracks.
Click on Open Group Settings from the same menu. Choose Editing (Selection) and other modes you want to group.

How to burn a DVD with two audio track?

There is a projet with the original video and a second audio track with music. I want to burn a DVD with both audio tracks. When playing the DVD you should be able to select audio track 1 (the original sound) or audio track 2 (the music). With Adobe Encore DVD it was easy to configure the two audio tracks and burn the DVD. It is posible to do the same from Adobe Premier Elements 11?

Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, PrE does not allow for supplemental Audio Tracks, when authoring.
I use Adobe Encore for this, but it is only available bundled with Premiere Pro. I do not know if some other, third party, full-featured authoring apps., like Sony's DVD Architect can do that, but I would suspect that they can. The specifications for DVD Architect should have that information, and as it's quite common in full-featured authoring apps., I anticipate that it has that capability.
If you do go with that program, our MOD, Steve Grisetti, has written a very good book on DVD Architect, and it's available at Muvipix.com.

How can I keep one of my audio tracks stationary when syncing multiple tracks?

I am trying to edit a video that has external audio from an H4N recorder and internal audio from 2 Canon DSLRs. The internal audio is just there to help my sync everything and will be muted during output. From the H4N I have one long, continuous recording, but from the cameras I have shorter clips, not all of which happened exactly after the previous one.
Here's the issue I'm having: when I sync the two video clips & the external audio early in the timeline, everything lines up (using the automatic synchronization based on waveform). However, when I am syncing clips later in the timeline, sometimes Premiere chooses to pull the external audio track FORWARD (thus bringing it out of alignment with the earlier video), rather than pushing the video tracks BACK (which is what I need).
Is there some way to tell Premiere which tracks should and should not be moved during sync? If I lock the track, then I cannot use the sync function on it at all. I basically need a way to specify that one track should be used as the "anchor" and that others should be moved forward or backward as needed, without moving the "anchor" track.

Cut up the 4n audio clip and synch it to its respective clips.

Can you bounce or combine two audio tracks onto a third track

Not sure if "bounce" is the right term. (And I am not talking about simply copying and pasting the regions onto the third track)
I have vocals on one track. Second vocal on another track with no overlap (But lets assume there was some overlap anyway) Can you send these tracks and combine them onto a third track. My obective is simply to save space, but I could also see using this trick to double the vocals. Can this be done, and if so how? Thanks.
With my old Zoom hard disc recorder you simply soloed the two tracks and play/rec onto the third track with Zooom's "bounce" button enabled.

And as to your comment 2, when you say "arm the new track for recording," do you then simply "rec" the whole segment of music in order for everything to be sent to the new third track? And must tracks 1 and 2 be soloed?
Look, if you have set up the two tracks to send their output to the bus, only these two will send their audio output to the bus, so you don't have to solo them. And since you don't want to record to these two tracks, you naturally only arm the new track for recording. When you then hit the record start button (or use the appropriate key command), the two tracks will play back, feed into the bus, and the new track will leech it's data out of the bus so you'll get a nice, new, neat mixdown.
Now off to the workbench! Learning by doing if much more rewarding than discussing "ifs and buts"

But the question they are asking is the same one I am asking. Isn't this a typical situation, having multiple mics for one camera? For example, if someone filmed a concert with one camera but used both the camera audio, and ambient mic, and a mix from the board, then that would be 3 audio tracks with 1 video track. I'm in a similar situation, and I'm finding it hard to believe that FCPX isn't equipped to edit this way. There must be some way to get one video clip (with reference audio) to sync with four audio tracks.

Ah, I should have made that clear. My domain didn't come from google. It was purchased at and is hosted at dreamhost, but I haven't used their email servers in years - I just route everything through gmail. I actually have a bunch of domains (with websites).
Gmail has an option that lets someone with custom domains send (and receive) email through gmail using the custom domain once Google confirms proper ownership of the domain (to prevent spammers and such). Gmail has a setting for "send email as" which allows gmail to be sent using a custom domain as the sender. I'm pretty sure Apple's old mobileme had this feature too, but I didn't use it.

How can I transfer songs from two different itunes?

I want to transfer songs from my brother's itunes library to my shuffle, but when I plug it in his computer, a message saying that his library is not linked to my library (or something to that extent) and whether I would like to replace the songs. If I click yes, all my existing songs are replaced with HIS songs. If I click on NO, the Shuffle icon does not appear at all and I cannot transfer any of his songs to my shuffle. What I am trying to do is find out how to have a 3D model and a parts list linked to it within the PDF file. I would also like to be able to add to the parts list if at all possible once the pdf has been created. A template to create future PDF's with the 3D model and list might also be useful.
I am not entirely sure if this is all possible within a PDF file, but I have viewed a PDF (Adidas Trainer) example which has a Excel file attached to it which links to the 3D model. I have also had a look at partner products such as Lattice, Tetra4D, Anark, which can do animations and all sorts, but frankly it seems a bit overkill for what I am looking to do.
Please, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I see what you mean....Premiere Elements 10 appears to be the last version that had options for the user to select Capture Video and/or Audio in the its Capture Window.
If you are doing DV data capture firewire into the Premiere Elements 11 Capture Windows and want a final file without audio and you cannot do this at the camera level, then consider....
1. Do the Capture "to the Timeline" - video linked to audio result on the project's Video Track 1
a. Right click the Timeline DV AVl and select Delete Audio and then edit accordingly.
or
b. Import the DV AVI but, when you go to export it, in the export settings, remove the check mark next to Audio so that the export contains only the video portion.
Publish+Share/Computer/AVI with Presets = DV NTSC Standard
Please let us know if any of that worked for you.

Hi, I use Adobe Premiere and I recently I had a problem with Action! (a video recording program) if you register the microphone and the stereo, Premiere overlaps the two audio and is not making me hear my microphone. I also tried to click the check mark on recording program (split audio tracks) but Premiere not divides. How can I create two audio tracks divided on the same record?

Are you saying that if you walk up to your Mac, iTunes suddenly opens?
At any rate, you should be using two different accounts on the Mac, each of you logging into your respective accounts, if you don't want common syncing.

How can I add a link to an item within a workflow email - which will always find the item - even if it's status has changed?

I've used the method within the SharePoint designer to add a link to the workflow context current item URL, but when the current item status changes then obviously this link will no longer work.
How can I change this link so that it will always open the item, even if someone has changed it within the list, before I clink on the link?
This is an important one as over 300 people will use the list and many of these will be emails about items on the list will be in different time zones. I don't want to have lots of mails from people saying "this list doesn't work" as it's
critical they keep using it.
Please help.
P.S. I don't know if the <href> method will work, so if someone can confirm to me then that would be great.

Per my knowedge, you can display the following url in your email body:

[%Current Item: Encoded Absolute URL%]
Please start the workflow automatically when an item is changed and changed.
No matter how you edit the item or update the approve status, the URLs remains the same.
