How can I hav my Epson Scanner open in PhotoshopCS4/Plug-ins?
Glad I found this site! I bought new Internal Hard drive for my Mac PRO: Loaded Master Collection CS4, and Installed Software for my EPSON GT20000 Scanner; New problem; I used to be able to open Scanner through Photoshop- "FILE>Import GT20000. I've loaded the Plug-ins from "Goodies CS4 disc..everything; What am I doing wrong? does CS4 Photoshop NOT support this anymore? My scanner ICON sits in the dock. I want scanner to open up through Photoshop- Not even new driver(I tried this) through /Epson will do it. Do I have to "Copy something..Drag something? any help appreciated! Larry NYC.

I'm using the Expression XL10000 with no problems, although I use the Standalone Epson Scan for Batch scanning. Or Silverfast, if I need more control at the outset.
If you have installed the TWAIN Plugin (as you seem to suggest) reinstall the Epson SW, and restart. Should work fine. HTH.

Ok..so all my hard drive was built from bottom -up...CS 4 all installed..and I've got an EPSON GT 20000 scanner; I installed the software INSTALL/disc. So now the scanner just opens from the 'dock. I used to scan directly from and into Photoshop years ago... and then Photoshop no longer supported scanning directly from the app. I use an Epson 3200 and I've had to scan from the dock with the Epson Scan app for years.

How can I have Safari save my opened web pages when I quit so that when I open next time they will be there? I can do that in Firefox automatically, but can't seem to find how to do it in Safari. I'm thinking maybe it's just now possible yet?
From your Safari menu bar click History / Reopen All Windows from Last Session.

anyone help me? i'm in hurry~~~~~You could, however, open Soundtrack Pro (you could even set this to open from a key command in Logic), and destructively apply AU's from within Soundtrack Pro.
Because you would be applying the AU's on the same Audio File Logic is referencing, Logic should automatically update to reflect these changes, once they are rendered from within STP. -

How can I have to different windows open on my screen at one time? Kind of like a split or shared screen.
If you want this split screen thingy for a single app, do like captfred suggests or see if the app itself supports some sort of splitting, like MS Excel.

I have an Epson scanner that is apparently no longer supported because it is a PowerPC app. It's a very good scanner that worked fine until I upgraded to OS Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro. Any suggestions on how I can continue to use it?

How can I get a pdf. to open in Safari, all i'm getting is a new window with a black, blank page, instead of the pdf., and I don't want to save the file to the desktop, Safari didn't use to do that, and I don't have Adobe in the internet plug in folder.

On my mac when i click on pages, a new document doesn't open instantly but a window with my files open and then have to click on the left bottom < new document> in order to open one. How can i have directly a new document when i click on pages icon
How to open an existing Pages document?
Click Pages icon in the Dock to launch Pages.
When Pages is open, click File menu in the Pages menu bar.
Select “Open”.
When the select document dialog box opens up, highlight/select the document and click “Open”

How can I have a Pages document that is shared with me under my Pages section and not open it with the link?
Try this.
Open the document and select and copy a few pages, say ten pages.
Open a new blank document and paste the pages you copied into that.
Save it with a new name.
Work on those new pages to see if the problem has disappeared.
If this helps, continue breaking up the large file in to smaller chunks and working on them
You can of course later reverse the process and merge the files into one new one.
This suggestion is based on my experiences with large Word files. Breaking it up in to smaller chunks does two things. First, if there is any corruption in the old file, the new copies might escape that. Second, the Mac is faster handling the smaller chunks. -
I have just updated to Pages 5.1 and now the templares which I have saved do not displat the header and footer which they were saved with in the previous version. How can I have the header and footer included when I open a template?
That is becuase Pages 5.1 has numerous unnounced surprises for the unwary user. Among the surprises:
- it strips out images from headers and footers without warning
- it strips out bookmarks without wanring (yes, all those bookamrks you laboriously put into a document: poof! Gone.)
- it strips out alternating left/right margins, without warning.
There are many more suprises, as you'll see from glancing through these discussions. They fall into two main categories: things that are present in version 4.3 but that are missing in 5.1, things like
-mail merge
-meaningful Applescript/Services support
-non-contiguous text selection
-ability to set defaul zoom
-ability to see comments while editing
-ability to print comments
-ability to read RTF files
-ability to drag in hyperlinked ted from a browser
These about about 90 other features are gone.
Then there are the bugs. Hyperlinks do not reliably export to a PDF file any longer. There have been multiple problems with printing report. Some fonts place stray characters in the headers. Many reports of the program crashing, courrupting files, etc.
Fortunately for you, the previous version of Pages is still on your system. Export any documents you may have created or edited with Pages 5.1 (another great surprise: files created with version 5.1 cannot be read by any previous version of Pages: not just 4.3 but even 5.01!). Then trash 5.1 and use 4.3 until (unless?) it is stable and has a reasonably robust feature set. -
How can I get a book to open in my nook app, it downloaded, and installed, it just want open, I have never had this problem before.
This is entirely my complaint.
I have to sit without useable internet for 5 days when there is no fault, before anyone does anything about it ? BT visit the village to do something for another customer, mess up my perfectly working broadband, and then refuse to do anything about it for 5 days. And I pay full price during that time. Let's just hope they don't come back to do something else within those 5 days !!!
There isn't a fault with the line, it is perfectly stable. I just need somebody to use common sense and set the IP profile back to what it was.
If the system is so clever, it could at least try moving off 135k to 512k say after an hour or so.
I will try using that link though and see if somebody can do something !!
Frustrated is not the word ! If I ran my business like this I'd have no customers left. I'm pretty sure that's not the first time somebody has posted that on here

I need to be able to print the filled in form as it appears as a form.
Currently when I attempt to print a reponse as a PDF a four page form turns into an unmanageable 27 page PDF file. Is this a bug or do I need to make a change?

Trying to sync music to new iPhone 4
Is there a way to get iTunes to sync my selected/checked songs? The only options it gives me is the entire library (too big) or manually select artists and albums, but not individual songs. I have it sync'd that way to my iPod.
