How can I have only a specific smart folder in Finder displayed in coverflow and all other folders in icon view?

There are a couple of smart folders actually that i want in coverflow mode only, but the rest i want in icon view. Is there a way to do this? i thought i had it figured out, but then it would revert back to the icon view for everything.

Open one of the folders that keeps changing. Set it to the view mode you prefer. Press Command-J (Show View Options in View menu).
At the top of the View Options screen is an item which allows one to set "Always open in xxx view". Chekmark that.
Repeat for each folder you want.
This is a per-folder setting. Note that the View Options screen is 'live" - you can leave it open, and as you open successive folders it will display the settings for each in turn.

Nobody can log in to your iCloud account unless you gave them your password. There is no other way.
If you shared your password with someone (not a good idea) and no longer want them to have access to your account, change the password and don't share it again.

Smart Folder in Finder displays incorrect list when using "File label" option.

Hello.
I created a Smart Folder in Finder, to display all files that have any color (label).
But have a problem just with one file, and although it has no Label, it keeps displaying that file.
Just to let you know:
1) File is not in Trash or hidden.
2) Checked several times the "information" of the file. Assign any color, then removed it.
3) File is synched with Dropbox v2.0.5
4) File is a Microsoft Excel and been working with it for a while with Office for Mac.

I'm having this problem, too. It with even show files with other color tags when filtering by another color. I tried changing the file color then changing it back to blank and it disappears temporarily, but if you view another folder and then come back the file pops back.

How can I synch ONLY the default 'contacts' folder in Outlook 2003?

I am using Outlook 2003 SP3. In my 'contacts' menu I have 3 folders: 'Contacts', 'iPhone' and 'Old.' I created 'iPhone' and 'Old' folders and 'Contacts' was the default folder. When I synch my 3G iPhone with Outlook I want to synch ONLY the default 'contacts' folder. But I can't seem to do this. My options are to synch all folders or a selection of non-default folders (i.e., anything but 'Contacts.')
Does this make sense? I don't want to synch anything in the 'old' folder to my iphone. But I also don't want to move all of my current contacts to a special folder just so I can synch only these items.
So when I synch my iPhone I want it to limit the synching to only the default 'contacts' folder.
Is there a way to do this?

How can I share only a specific playlist with another family device?

I purchased an iPod Touch for my Dad for Christmas. I am trying to share only a selected playlist with the new device without synching everything that I have on my iPhone and iPad to his device. I have turned on home sharing but can't figure out how to limit the automatic sync that kicks off when I plug the new iPod into my PC. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately the support is down at the moment, I will have a better look later. I did go though the Apple support previously, however I found nothing that worked.
The first thread I came across was “Home Sharing” however no mater what I did, it did not appear in the iTunes sharing list (I did go though the “Show Sharing Networks” support as well)
Secondly, I saw “Using A Single Library With Multiple Accounts On The Same PC” (Something like that) but all this did was let us share the same music location, if I was to rip extra music, it will not show in there library

In Awesome 3.4 I it was possible to do this by modifying this line:

This would remove the title of the applications and leave only the icons, but in 3.5 that doesn't work anymore.

In awesome 3.5 this doesn't work anymore since label functions (as the anonymous function in your modified line) were replaced with filter functions which work differently. From a user's point of view (i.e. by only modifying rc.lua and theme.lua) I don't see a possibility to change or remove the tasklist text. If you really want this, one quick (and somewhat dirty) solution would be to modify the tasklist file and adding an option to toggle this in your theme file:

How can I navigate to a specific target folder when performing a save file command?

Whenever i click on a Save option for a file, I am eventually presented with a dialog box that gives me a choice of Devices, Favorites and Recent file selections. Which i usually stare at knowing that the actual folder I want the file saved to will not be on the list of options that are presented to me. Nor does there seem to be any way to get around of this dead-end, pre-determined save menu and point the save file process to the folder you want to save the file to. So, when I want to save a file to a specific folder that I have in mind that OSX does not know about, how do I do it?

You have me a bit confused. if you are asking "how do i get a dialog box that i can navigate to any folder with" - there is atriangle next to the file name - click it to "open" and a much bigger dialog box with full finder access wil open. Navigate where you wish and save.

How do I set my bookmark toolbar to text and all other toolbars to icons?

It seems I can change all toolbars to either be text or icons. I want the look of Firefox 3. In Firefox 3 the bookmarks toolbar was text only wile the navigation toolbar was icons. I can't figure out how to have my Back/Forward/Home buttons be icons with my Bookmarks in the toolbar be text only.

How to upload photos from iPhone to "Pictures Folder" in "Finder" without using iPhoto at all?

I personally hate iPhoto and would like my photos to upload directly into a "selected" folder under "Pictures" in "Finder" from my iPhone or camera card. Then I would like to delete iPhoto from my computer. Any answers?

Really simple. Just don't use it.
To get images from your phone/camera/whatever: Image Capture (in the Applications Folder)
If you have images in the iPhoto Library already: Export them - File -> Export.

How can I have an instance of mx.controls.List component in a Flash, and import its SWF into a Flex application so it can controll it? Is it possible to do this either at author-time or runtime?
I see plenty of examples of how you can import a SWC into Flex, but how can I have my Flash interface, with Flex components already in place to be consumed by Flex?

I am new to the Portlet World
My query is..
How can I have filters on a portlet screen ?
I want to display certain information on a portlet which must be filtered and ordered.
Example:
In Internet Banking , I want to display transfers which had happened in the last month. So I ( as a user ) will keep this predefined somewhere may be in portletData.
Whenever that user logs in for the next time, he will be able to view account transfers taken place in the lastest month only.
This must be user specific. As another user can keep the setting in a different way. That is he/she might want to view account transfers for the last week only.
When user clicks on a button a new screen( filter screen ) is loaded where he need to enter the dates of From and To .....
The user saves this.....( may be in portletdata)
So that when he logs in .. next time screen loads with the defined settings in filter....
Any idea ? How can this be achieived ?
