How can I have Safari save my opened web pages when I quit so that when I open next time they will be there?

How can I have Safari save my opened web pages when I quit so that when I open next time they will be there? I can do that in Firefox automatically, but can't seem to find how to do it in Safari.  I'm thinking maybe it's just now possible yet?

From your Safari menu bar click History / Reopen All Windows from Last Session.
Or..
Glims can  re open tabs from a previous session if that helps.

Compatible with Snow Leopard v10.6 and Safari 5+ and it's free.

Also shifting windows while surfing is not easy, when used to multiple screens and easy shifting from one web page to another.

Not entirely sure what you mean, but this has some info about multi-tasking . iOS 5, which will be available to download on October 12th, adds multi-tasking gestures (from http://www.apple.com/ios/features.html#more) :
Using four or five fingers, swipe up to reveal the multitasking bar, pinch to return to the Home screen, and swipe left or right to switch between apps.
Also Safari will get tabbed browsing in iOS 5, making it easier to switch between pages/tabs.

I live in China, have Dutch nationality, and no US address or Credit Card; how can I have access to products from the US iTunes store, in particular music, when such items are not available from the China iTunes store? In general, what are the differences between countries' iTunes offerings? Does one really need an address and a credit card for any country to be able to access that countries iTunes store? Why these restrictions?

    You cannot.
You cannot use another countrys itunes store.
You must be physically locates inside the borders of a country to use that countrys itunes store and a credit card issued in that country with a valid billing address in that country.
The owners of the distribution rights of movies/music/etc differ by country.  These distributors decide who can sell their content in that country.
Buy from another source if your countrys itunes store does not carry somehting that you want.

Freeway allows you to inject code into the HTML of the page. Upload the movie file to a folder on your server and reference it in the code.
    <script src="http://www.domain.com/Folder-Name/QT-JS.js" language="javascript"> </script>
    <script language="javascript">
    QT_WriteOBJECT('http://www.domain.com/Folder-Name/Movie.mp4' , '640', '496', '', 'AUTOPLAY', 'false', 'CONTROLLER', 'true', 'VOLUME', '50', 'KIOSKMODE', 'true', 'SCALE', 'Aspect') ;

If you are going to go this route it would be better to use HTML5 with flash fallback to cover all browsers and devices...

  • How can I standardise the display of each web page

Firefox displays every webpage at a different setting, how can I have every webpage fit the full width of my monitor, this happens no matter what screen resolution I have my monitor set to? at the moment to get webpages the way I want them I have to zoom in/out ever read different webpage which is tiresome, I much prefer Firefox but if I can't get it the way I want it to look I may as well go back to IE.
When I used using Internet Explorer every webpage filled the whole monitor making it much easier to read.

Set a default zoom level in Firefox by using one of these addons:
Default FullZoom Level extension: <br />

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

Some sites automatically redirect you to a site in the local language.
There is usually a link on such websites choose a language or go to an international version that allows to chose the language.

  • How can I add a "search" field for web pages content-not blogs or podcasts?

This seems to be such a basic function, I can't believe I'm having so much trouble. I don't have a blog or a podcast on my new website that I'm in the process of designing. So how do I allow people who'll visit my site to search there for specified content? The only instructions I find are for the RSS in inspector for blogs or podcasts. All I want is for people to be able to search my site/web pages (that have no blogs or podcasts on them). This must be a common request... or am I crazy? How do I do that?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Can I stop Safari giving me cached web pages on [back] ?

I regularly read the news online where the home page for a news organisation (such as www.theguardian.co.uk ) contains many links to individual news stories.
So, the normal process is to read the home page, click on a news article, then hit back to go back and pick another many times.
However, on using [back] Safari pulls up a cached version of the news site, so listing news from whenever it last cached, often around 24 hours ago.  To fix this, I have to first hit [back] and then [refresh] which is annoying.
Other browers I have used include options to check web pages (GIMS - Get If Modified Since [date/time of cache] - I believe) each time.  I'd love that or a way to define specific web pages I'd like Safari not to cache or a way to force a cache refresh of a particular web page (put this in your cache now as I know I want to get to this version and throw away your old one).
Anyone got any ideas?  Please don't recommend clearing the whole cache, thanks.

I'm going by your profile  (10.7.2)
Try disabling the Lion "resume" feature...
    Open System Preferences > General
Deselect:  Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
    Restart your Mac, try Safari.
Restoring Safari windows may be causing a problem with the cache ...

  • I'm using Safari 5.0.5 on a 13" MacBook Pro and can't get Safari to fully load web pages or pictures on web pages. Any suggestions?

I bought a MacBook Pro in October of 2010 and it's been running greatly up to this month. Now I am experiencing problems with Safari loading web pages. Sometimes it will load web pages just fine and other times it doesn't load web pages at all. This only seems to happen with certain sites. Also, on some web pages Safari won't load pictures (only the blue "?" is visible). I've experienced the same problem when I use the Mac App Store. In addition to these problems, when I visit sites that have problems loading, sometimes I just get a notice saying "Not connected to the internet" or "Safari cannot find the server." I am beginning to wonder if the problem could be some setting with my wireless router. I'm really hoping my MacBook hasn't gotten a virus. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can you have two link styles on one page?

I have one style (formatted link style) for internal links in
my footer but I want a different style for the external links in my

on one page? I tried creating a new set for the mainContent links
and being positioned underneath my footer link's styles, the "new"
mainContent link styles overrode the footer link style. Is there
another way of going about this?

  • How can you have the app tabs positioned to the right of the FireFox button when maximized?

App tabs are '''normally''' positioned to the right of the FireFox button. However, when you shrink the window and then maximize again the app tabs appear below the FireFox button.
Anytime an app tab is open and you maximize, adjust window, maximize, the entire tab bar is bumped down under the FireFox button. Having just regular tabs open does not have this problem as they correctly position themselves to the right of the FireFox button when maximized.

Zero is in the middle where it says "none".

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can use a Wufoo form like Alancito suggested or create your own link on this demo page: Form Action comment form.
The Form Action type of form uses the visitors email client to send the information to you. With Wufoo it's done from Wufoo. Wufoo does have a limit to the number of responses you get for free.
