How can I "import" Facetime Camera with external USB microphone?
In Final Cut Pro, there's an option to "import" the FaceTime Camera. BUT, it only works with the built in mic on my laptop.
I also found a window for recording audio voiceovers That one lets me pic the mic, but doesn't have an option for video.
Is there a way to do this (in FCPX 10.1.1)

I don't think you can do it with FCPX (I don't have a FaceTime camera and my webcam doesn't seem to work). But you can import with QuickTime Player X. Just open the app and select File->New Movie Recording.
Once you have a recording window open, you'll see a downpointing arrow in the controls box (see red circle in attached image. In that menu you can select the camera and audio input separately.

I have the following problem, please help:
I would like to import avi clips in adobe premiere. All clips have the same avi codec. But unfortunately my adobe premiere does not import the sound of a few
avi clips. It is wired because about 10 out 70 avi clips which have all the same avi codec does not work with sound in premiere CS5. In the timline premiere import the video and audio line but there are no audio waves in the about 10 avi clips. additonally premiere plays the 10 avi clips in the source monitor without sound. Furthermore when I open the 10 avi files without adobe premiere they have sound, but with premiere there are no sound in the 10 avi clips.
What can I do, so that I can import all avi files with sound. I do not want to convert each of the avi files because then they have not a good quality and it is to complicated and it takes to much time to convert all files in this video project and in the other video project in my future.
Consequently How can I import all avi files so that they have immediately sound? Do I have to change some premiere settings?

In the folder where all raw video clips exist there are a few new files with the codec ending: .AVD ("the name of the file".AVD)
But the 2 video clips mentioned above does not have any files like .AVD oder something else like that. But the first one works and the second one doesnt work. -

but when I open iDVD I am not able to select these files(as they are not in imoves / iphoto etc),
how can I get to these files to import them to an iDVD project without copying them to my hard drive?

Movie file - in what format/codec ?
Convert it into - StreamingDV .mov - then just drop it into iDVD Menu window (avoid active zoones).
BUT - if movie is 30fps - then start the iDVD project as NTSC/29.97 fps or if 25fps then let iDVD do a PAL (25fps) project.
Forcing iDVD to convert "works" - BUT result is from BAD to Worse !
I use JES_Deinterlacer to convert fps PAL/NTSC - as it does this very good and is free on internet.

Hi guys! I have just reinstalled SL and I backed up the Photobooth folder which was in images. I replaced it after the installation but inside Photobooth I can't see any image. How can I put them inside Photobooth?
In /Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/Photo Booth/Recents.plist overwrite that with the original .plist and see if that helps.

I imported a CD with custom settings for stereo bit rate, sample rate and channels. When I tried to import a second CD with different settings I could not get to the AAc encoder window that gave the settings options. The custom settings I had chosen for the first CD had become the default "custom" settings.

How can I import photos edited with Photos on iPad to iPhoto on Mac, including all edits??
During a long vakantion trip, I took many pictures and imported them in Photos on my iPad. And during the trip I edited many photos: croppig, changing colors and brightness, etc.
Now back home, I would like to import all these photos into iPhoto on my Mac, including all the edits of course.
I imported a few hundred and saw at once that the edits were not imported completely and not correctly (probably most is not imported).
Can anyone please advise how this should be done.

FransMaking a trip, I import, select and edit pictures, as I have the time to do so. So, when I come back home, I expect importing to the Mac and reviewing only.
You are caught in the transit. If you still had iOS 7, that would have been no problem. Your edits in iPhoto on the iPad would have transferred to the Mac, and you would even have been able to undo the Camera filters. Unfortunately, iOS 8 is ahead of the photo applications on the Mac. The sidecar files with the edits transfer to the mac, but no software that I know of can read them. It will be better in a few month.
Do you know of any other application which can be used on both, iOS and OS X, to edit photos??
Right now, the only app I know is Pixelmator.
Pixelmator on the iPad can save and open files on iCloud Drive. But you would need to upgrade your Mac to Yosemite to use the new Pixelmator for Mac and to be able to access iCloud Drive from the Mac. -
¿How can I publish a Camera with a different UserID?

I've tried WebcamPublisher webCamPub.publish("userPublisher") method to publish a WebCam to a room with a different user that the "myUserId" logged at the session, but the subscribers attached to the room they never receive the video. If I check the Room console I can see the new user has been created and the camera stream assigned. If i use the normal Publisher-Subscriber example with webCamPub.publish() everything works correctly. One difference, on the normal example when I publish the Publisher, the Flash Player Configuration will ask me permision to access the Camera, but on my new code i will never be asked for this access. It looks like if a Camera start is needed to be executed. ¿What am i missing?

How can I import .mov footage with original pixel aspect ratio?
So the footage is 720x480 Square Pixels (1.0), 29.97 fps, progressive .mov but when I import it into Premiere Pro, they come up compressed as D1/DV NTSC (0.9091) automatically. When I try to Interpret Footage, it simply adds black bars. Why can't it just import correctly? When I preview the original footage, it plays back correctly but the preview inside Premiere Pro shows the distorted version... Please and thank you!!!
The suggestion about "new item" above was short. Here's the "full" version. In the Project Panel, go to the lower right corner ... click on the "New Item" Icon ... as shown here:
The first item on the pop-up menu that will appear should be "Sequence" ... click on it and just say ok at the next screen without even reading it. It's irrelevant, really.
Then going back to your project panel (we assume you've already imported your footage into it) click & drag a clip from the proj. panel to the timeline, or move one from the "Source monitor" to the timeline ... you should get a pop-up asking if you want the timeline changed to your footage, or your footage changed to the timeline. Take the timeline/sequence settings changed to match footage, and go.
That SHOULD take care of the problem in the vast majority of cases. It is such a simple fix, and so often the easiest and "correctist", that it's worth a try. Navigating the choices of setting up sequences is best left for those people who say, study GPU algorithms for a couple hours before going to bed for the sheer exhilaration of it ... unless, of course, PrPro actuall does a face-plant with your footage. But it mostly works good at it ... once you just let it ... so you might give that a try, takes what ... 20 seconds to see if it works?

Your MacBook will support a 2.5" SATA drive. The largest drive currently available is 500 GB. Other sizes are 320 GB, 250 GB etc. The Apple tech was likely referring that Apple will not do a free replacement of your drive unless is was defective or failed. However, you can purchase the drive and install it yourself. It is relatively easy on the MacBook, or you can purchase the drive and have Apple or an Authorized Apple Dealer install it for you. The risk of DIY installation is that if you screw up Apple will not be responsible for any damages. If you are interested, please post back for a list of available HDDs and step by step directions and tips for installation.

The Canon S100 wasn't supported until version 6.6 of camera raw and that isn't supported by pse 8.
You options are to either upgrade to pse version 10 or use the DNG converter

That is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.
With the new Photo app later this year the integration between IOS and the Mac will be much greater
