How can I insert a line that extends from a word without it affecting the formatting of the WHOLE document?

I am trying to create a simple form for people to print out and fill in. I want fields like 'Name' with a line extending from the word for people to write on. What should be the simplest of tasks has confounded me for HOURS. Inserting a line as a 'shape' or 'drawing with pen' just messes up the formatting of the whole document. I've used Pages 'Help' but it almost forced me to staple my eyelids to the carpet. Surely there is a SIMPLE way to do this. I even tried 'tricking' Pages by 'underlining' a row of spaces. It won't even allow you to do this because Pages is far more clever than a human.
My cat is looking at me with increasing consternation.

I would use a right-aligned tab with an underline leader.

As long as you don't delete the trash, the files should be recoverable.
I suspect using the Put Back command could take a long time, so be patient.
If your Time Machine backups are mixed with your daughter's backups you might want to buy a larger drive and move the Time Machine files to the new drive.
Regarding missing photos in iPhoto...There might be options to rebuild/recover that data from iPhoto rather than trying to revert to a Time Machine backup.

I like the Seagate USB 3.0 Backup plus drives. Works on USB 2.0 ports. They come formatted for PC but easy to format in Disk Utility.
I don't recommend Western Digital because of the boot problem with some of their drives.

What a crappy design. This is where Android is so much better. It seems to me like you have no control over your iPhone. It does whatever Apple has designed it to do without asking you first. On Android you can actually go in see all folders, document files, photo files etc and you have so much more control of everything. Apple s..cks!

I don't think so. I've started an audio book and I'm doing chapter long segments (assuming I can make simple corrections, such as ones made in iMovie and numerous other video editing programs. Routine edits in GB are simple and intuitive. I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that I'm prevented from doing a simple drag and drop, import or paste a two-sentence audio clip. Nor can I find any reference to straightforward audio elements.

I have a pages document that has a formal heading with a logo, and on the second page, it automatically repeated, so I was hoping that someone had some insight on how to stop the repeated logo, because I only want it on the first page. About… is always under the thing it is about.
So for Pages it is under the Pages menu.
In Pages 5.1 you can not insert images into the Header, so I assume you have put it in the Section Master.
click at the end of the first page text > Menu > Insert > Section Break
Then delete the logo in the subsequent section/s. Section Master objects repeat for every page of the section they are in. As the name suggests.

How can I insert a song into lots of different projects without it duplicating so many time?

I have a website where I upload a daily one minute video, and I use the same song for the opening, and the same song for the closing. I have been trying to figure out why so much space is being used. One issue is that the songs I have been using for the opening and closoing are being uploaded over and over and over again.
What is the best way to do this so that the media isn't being duplicated over and over again? The files live in itunes, so is there any way to simply reference the file from the music folder instead of having to copy the media over and over again?

Hmmm... I made the opening in motion, and have set it as a opening bumer. So what I typically do is drag it in to the project time line from the right side of the screen (where my bumbers are) and then add the audio (from itunes) on top of it. So that audio is being duplicated on every single event. This was the only way I knew to do it so I could easily change the date without having to always set the right keyframes. (If there is an easier way, please let me know.)
For the ending bumber I just use a small video clip I made and insert it in each timeline. So I'm assuming that is also being duplicated every single time.

You can delete photos from individual albums but not from the camera roll. If you try to delete a photo from camera roll it will be deleted from all other albums ("locations") that contain the photo. This is because the actual photo is in the camera roll (the albums only contain links to the photo in camera roll, not the actual photo).

How can i show a Data that receiving from PLC, showing it by Round leds?

I need to show Data from a PLC, which consists in 4 Bytes of information. This information is according to 0 and 1 combination and i wold like to show by Round Leds.
I`m using the VISA Read palette, and need to read the Data out from "read buffer" ootput for after showing it with Roun Leds (32 led).
How can i show the string from this "read buffer"?
I have used "String to Byte array" but i cann`t show the Byte (0,1) and otherwise the Round Leds
What command I need to put for converting this kind of "array"?

I think you just want to convert a 4 byte string to boolean arrays like shown in the attachment...
Btw. you don't need to show an U8 array in an EXT indicator - kind of overkill (and bad programming style too...)

How can I Control ITunes on my Desktop from my Laptop without Express???

i have a g4 powerbook with airport card and a brand new imac. i have bose speakers (companion 5). they use a usb connection. bose and apple employees have suggested that the audio quality will decrease drastically if i used an adaptor to connect the usb input on the speakers and the analog output on the express.
i would like to play music wirelessly from my powerbook but i would like the actual music to come out of my nice bose speakers which are hooked up to the imac. does anyone know how i can make that happen?

How can I uninstall my Photoshop CS3 from my Mac OS Extended (Journaled)? It has never opened, since I increased the Mac's capacity to 2 TB. Now I want to throw the Photoshop CS3 away and get a brand new Photoshop CS5. There does not seem to be an uninstaller anywhere to be found. Adobe spent an hour and a half on the phone with me and could not find a work-around. We tried to reinstall the CS3 from the disk, but the installations failed.
An earlier Photoshop CS2 is also on the computer and needs to be uninstalled.
Is there a way to rescue my computer and put the new Photoshop on it?

You need to manually delete the caps.db (somewehre in the Library:Application Support:Adobe folder) and then you can trash the program folders. Without an existing caps.db, a new one wil lbe created from scratch and al linstalls should run as if there never was anything on the system just as conversely you should not have trouble simply deleting the old versions...

How can I setup a macro that types a special character when I press a key on the keyboard?

I have an aplication where I am unable to insert a tilde (~) by pressing alt+Ñ. (I have a spanish keyboard) The only way this app lets my input a tilde, is by copying and pasting it in, which is extremely annoying and time consuming.
Is there any way I can setup a script in Automator, or by any other means, that will automatically insert a tilde whenever I press a single key, such as a Function key? Or maybe I can make it so that whenever I type 'tilde' it will replace that with ~ ? I already tried using a keyboard shortcut (below) but it did not work.

In order to achieve this, please use the Slideshow widget in which Thumbnails are not shown.
And enable to "Next" button in the widget. Now expand that Next button container to cover the target image area.
Now when you click on the image, it will click the Next button container and it will move to the next image.

How can I remove vertical lines when printing from Aperture 3.2.2 to Epson Stylus Photo RX690?

I have been generally quite happy with my access to and use of Aperture 3.2.2 (recently purchased) for import and manipulation of photos and movies, etc.I am using Aperture on a MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.8.
However I have been unable to print high quality images on Epson premium glossy, glossy or matt paper on my Epson Stylus Photo RX690.
High quality prints on screen show perfectly in preview, but all prints come out with good and accurate colours, but a series of vertical lines or bands of lines across the photo print.
Using the Aperture Manual I have checked my settings in Aperture for the printer, for colour and quality of paper etc and they all seem to be correct.
The Epson Printer is networked with a Toshiba (Vista) laptop which prints perfect results from Picasa and Photoshop with fine colour and no markings.
I would appreciate any help please.
