My Photoshop Elements 9 stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When I clicked the PSE button nothing happened. I tried this several times over a few days and it still failed. How can I deactivate Adobe photoshop elements 9 when its un-installed? I told my husband I had to get it off the third computer but he trying to help me did not deactivate it before he un-installed it!!!!
Now what? I am only using this on 2 computers and I'm told I am using it on a 3rd and I'm not.

It wont work on the 3rd one anyway because its so old and limited it crashes every time I try. But I need this on my 2 good computers.

One way could be to reinstall it on the third computer and then deactivate it and uninstall it.

Can't install Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 onto my iMac from CD

I can't install Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 onto my iMac I just purchased. The software is brand new, the CD appears to read fine. The instillation "on-screen" instructions are not popping up. I have had the software a minute, purchased it new but was waiting till I could afford an iMac. Any suggestions?

How are you using a CD with a new imac? They haven't had disc drives in years.
Try downloading from here and use the serial number from your boxed version:

However, there are a couple of other things to try. First of all, PSE 9 has both mac and windows discs. If the disc doesn't mount on the desktop, then you've got the wrong one. Go get the other one and when it appears on the desktop, double click it. Then double click Adobe Photoshop Elements 9, double click Install/Setup (can't remember which it was for PSE 9, sorry). There is no automatic install for PSE for mac, since macs have no autoplay function for security reasons, and there isn't any window with instructions, either. You just keep double clicking till it installs.

Thanks for response. I purchase Photoshop Elements 10 from App store, the first install is ok-in English, but my computer reset for some problem, so I installed it again. But this time, it's not English version but the other that I cannot recognize. How can I do? I forgot to save the serial number, where can I check it?

The language is tied to the serial number. Did you purchase the software directly from Adobe?

PSE and PRE have different serial numbers. If you bought both programs you should have two separate serial numbers.

If you mean "How do you upgrade to Photoshop Elements 13 from an earlier version" then you need to buy the new version. There is an upgrade option but if you shop around then you can sometimes buy the full product cheaper. They are both the same product once you have installed them.
If you install Photoshop Elements 13 on the same system as your old version the you can convert your existing catalog to the new format.
Note that Photoshop Elements 13 will not work on older operating systems. The 30 day trial version can be downloaded from here

If you are asking about updating the camera raw in your current version then we need to know which version you want to update. Normally, you can go to the Help menu and select Updates.
Note that each version has a limit on the version of camera raw that it can use - again we need to know which version you currently have.

I just purchased my first MacBook Pro and am trying to get everything set up and installed. I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and retrieved my serial number and have the redemption code -- but I can't figure out how to install Photoshop without a DVD drive. The Photoshop package I purchased only provides DVDs and I don't have a DVD drive. Is there a website I can go to to install Photoshop and enter my serial number or redemption code?

If you are lucky...
You could try coping the CD contents into your OS clipboard and paste it onto your destop. Run the setup.exe from this desktop folder. It's worth a try although I'm doubtful it's the answer. (Opera shouldn't be a factor...use it myself.)

Have you contact Adobe directly as you should yet? These forums are for user-to user help.
Adobe is practically free support too when you buy the products. I doubt they charge much at all for support with their products, you are paying more for a license to use the product commercially. The point is, even if someone managed to revser engineer a product, then sold it on for cheaper, if the product gets a fault or goes down, the person who modified it can't even help with that because the company that orignally made it would be the only ones lightly to know. Its not worth the risk at the end of the day. If you're going to get pirated coppies, get your monies worth and pay nothing....give you some more money to spend on the company when they sue you for it.

I just purchased and downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 13. It did not tell me on the page where I purchased it that it will not install on a Vista computer. What should I do?

I am having the same issue however I use windows 7. I try to install and a window pops up to log into adobe. After I log in the screen just has that loading image. I have let it run for an hour and nothing happens. I contacted customer support at adobe and they used a program to share my computer and still could not figure it out. So, they had me download the software from a link, which took 3 hours. Then the same log in screen popped up and the same exact thing happened. So, I contacted Amazon and they offered to let me return it for a refund. I am sending it back. I will not purchase anything from adobe again.
