How can I install apps on my iPad 1

I am a new apple user, and I just got my iPad 1 this week. I found iPad 1 can only update iOS to 5.1.1, but all the apps need new iOS. I can't install any app on my iPad 1. What can I do? Is that possible to install old version of app on my iPad? How can I find the old app?

Yes you can install older versions of apps on your iPad, but you will probably have to do this using iTunes on your computer to get the new versions of the apps and then be able to choose to download the older versions on the iPad.

On your computer in iTunes, download the app from the App Store to your iTunes library.
Then, on your iPad, in the App Store, click on Purchased.
You'll see the app in the Cloud - the cloud icon will appear next to the app
Tap on the Cloud and you'll be given an option to download a version that will run on iOS 5.1.1

The last app is needed for when I do work. It doesn't need to run on the background. When I'm doing work, I need to input some information in that app, and sync it to my company's server.

I choose "App Store" in Home.
I search for a free App (for example the Google Search app by Google Inc)
I'm taken to the app's info screen. I tap the blue "Free" button.
The button becomes a green "Install App" button.
I get a pop-up box saying

I logged out of my AppleID on the iPod, took it to his computer, synced it, which erased all of my apps. I installed the default apps plus one app that he bought using his account info.
You made his computer the syncing computer.
When you did this:
Connected to my Mac and iTunes and tried to sync one of the apps I bought with my account. The app shows up on one of the pages before you start the sync, but once you apply the sync, it does not transfer.
And, of cause, no restrictions set at all.
You changed syncing computers but you can only sync apps (and some other things like photos) from only your one syncing computer.

It works just the same as an iPhone. A long hold on an icon will cause them all to start wobbling, drag to move around or tap the X to remove.You can't remove any of the built-in apps so these won't get an X to tap.

Unfortunately there's no way to do this unless the game has a username and password that you sign in within the game format. If Apple allowed users to use different apple IDs and get the same purchase how would they ever make money?
Each purchase made on apps is associated with the Apple ID it was purchased under... they cant' be transferred or used by another Apple ID.

Can't Install Apps on my iPad

I just got an iPad off Craigslist. First generation, 64 GB. I go to the app store and can find the app I want, click on the price button, and then the button transforms to say INSTALL APP, but then it won't do anything when I press that button. Did I buy a bum iPad or is there something else I should be doing? I've tried with toddler apps, Netflix, nothing works. It's connected to Wi-Fi, everything seems to be opportating normally. The screen works fine otherwise.

Some how you must of gotten confused b downloading a iPod Touch app. You can not put apps to an iPod classic. In iTunes when you check under the Compatibility area and you will see it is not Compatible with your iPod classic

Sell the iPad 1 and get an iPad 2 or newer (all of which have cameras).
