I have firefox 10.0.5 on two galaxy tab 10.1, and would like to install it on 4 more tabs, but the current version of firefox is not compatable. How can I get firefox 10 on these newer devices. I is the most stable browser in spotty mobile coverage areas.

From Firefox 17, you added official support for ARMv6 devices and my Galaxy Gio is indeed included in the list. Anyway when I go to Google Play it still says my device isn't supported (same with the current version 18.0) and I can't install it. I tried both from the phone and activating the "purchase" from PC. Versions 22 and 23 use a stub program that goes to the internet and installs the program. My server does not have an internet connection, so the stub program does not work. I updated to Firefox 22 today and since then Firefox opens in the tabs from the previous session instead of my home page. This occurs no matter how I close Firefox. I am aware that this has happened in previous versions of Firefox(e.g. Firefox 20) and that a solution would be found in a future version. The solution has obviously not been found.
I have applied the suggested workaround, changing the preference for browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to false, with absolutely no effect. This workaround did work in versions 20 and 21.

The two main things that you need for mobile Firefox to work is Android 2.0 and newer (which you have) and the cpu on phone/tablet has to be a ARM v7 type of cpu as the old ARM v6 will not work.
Acording to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#System_Requirements it is compatible and the 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, Hummingbird chipset is a ARM v7 type.

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.
