I just recently, well I guess finally upgraded my IOS to 4.2.1, and now I can't get my bejeweled game, my facebook, or many other aps that I had installed. I find it very frustrating that just becaseu I can't afford to purchase a new phone that I have to suffer. There is nothing wrong with my 3G. It still works, granted it may be slow compared to the later Iphone models, but I don't mind being a bit more patient and I it works just fine. I have had it for a while and also just recently switched my carrier service to H2). Does anyone know how I may be able to get the bejeweled game?

If the developers of the app don't support 4.2.1 then the answer is no, unless you have an older version lying around.

I think that is influenced by the order in which the apps are installed on the iPad (I believe that it's the most recent 10 ?) - but as I haven't got more than 10 apps that support any document/file type I can't check.

To update your phone requires using the latest version of iTunes, on your computer, as well as Internet access. There is no way around this fact. You could go to an Apple store or use another computer, but you run the risk of losing all of your data it you do that.

Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. If it still isn't working, then restore the phone.

I'm in the same boat. Updated to ios6 without doing the research first.
Now I have things that won't sync correctly.
Went to the Apple store, they were acting like they didn't know how this could be done.
They make it seem like you can do anything in the world on an iPhone... except get rid of ios6 and go back to 5.1.
There has to be a way this can be done. With what seems like so many people upset about the new upgrade, either Apple is gonna step up to the plate with a solution or the people are gonna find one.

How can I get my apps back after recovery and installing ios 8?

I have updated my phone a couple of hours ago. Luckily all my photos, contacts, notes, messages... they are all here. But I don't have any of my old apps. Where can I restore them? Please don't tell me I have to download one by one again Most of them were free anyway, except for Whatsapp. And I tried going to app store, then clicking purchased and i don't find any apps there either. Open iTunes. Connect your phone. Select your phone when you see it under Devices heading in iTunes' sidebar. In the main window select the Apps tab. All the apps you have stored in iTunes will be displayed. You will also have a list of the installed and uninstalled apps showing in a scrollable list. Scroll through the list and select all those you want installed. Then sync your phone using the Sync button.

Deleted the iphoto app to clear out photos (yes, really). Now cannot download it again. Other deleted apps download exactly as the manual says but not iphoto. Can anyone suggest how to fix please? You should be able to redownload it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad - if it's not showing there (you haven't changed countries since buying the app ?) then check to see if it's hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
For the photos, if they are in the Camera Roll album in the Photos app then you can either delete them via the trashcan icon in the bottom right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the Select button top right in thumbnail view.

you can't get the old you tube icon because apple deleted it. BUT you can download youtube app on the app store for free and its actually better and faster than the previous youtube app that you want. hope this helps!

If your "other" section is bigger than 1GB, there have been problems during the sync process and some data got damaged. Only a restore can reduce the size back to normal again.
