How can I install WXP on my U100?

I am the happy owner of several 100CTs and 110CTs, and after being so disappointed by my UMPC Packard Bell XS-20, I decided to buy a few broken Libretto U100s. After many patient hours, I have now got a fully working Libretto. But......
I have finally found a USB CDROM drive that will work with it.
I have tried several operating systems, Ubuntu, Gos. Sorry I'm completely lost when it comes to Linux.
Windows XP professional.
Dos 6.22
With the Linux options, I have tried booting from a live CD, and a memory stick. The operating system starts, but although recognizes the hard disk, I cannot copy anything onto it, although gos came very close by allowing me to install it and boot from the hard disk. But I was unable to do much else.
Windows XP goes through the most of the setup, but stops after it has copied all the files reporting a STOP:7B fault which is something to do with a missing boot device.
In desperation, I suspected some kind of hardware fault so I installed DOS 6.22 which works fine.
Is there a special Windows XP installation which I need to use to get this working; and could anyone help me obtain the appropriate disks as I would love to get the U100 working.

The reason why you get the 0007B-Error installing Windows XP is that the driver of your external CDROM is not known by Windows at this time.
You can modify your Windows XP and include the driver but I suggest the following:
1. Prepare your harddisk with two FAT32 partitions.
2. Copy the I386 directory of your Windows XP CD to the second partition. May you have to boot Windows PE or BartPE to do so.
3. Boot from a DOS floppy and start installation to the first partition. Run winnt.exe from the I386 directory on the second partition.
You can convert the partitions later using convertntfs command.

My Photoshop Elements 9 stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When I clicked the PSE button nothing happened. I tried this several times over a few days and it still failed. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it. It worked well. Then I tried to install the Update 9.0.3. The download was almost successful. When it was about to show 100% successful for the download, an error message said the installation had failed and that I should try later. I tried this many times over a few days and the same result occurred. I tried troubleshooting and the answers to questions, but I could not find an answer. I don't know where to go to see if anybody has answered my question. How can I install Update 9.0.3?

I downloaded Reader 11, but at no point during the installation process am I prompted for an installation location. How can I install this to a drive other than the C:\? I keep my C:\ and data storage drive separate so in the event the OS crashes I won't lose my data. I have limited storage capacity since I'm on a laptop so I didn't make my C:\ very large, so that I would have more room for my D:\. Any suggestions?

having data on a different drive is a good idea. installing programs on a drive different from you os containing drive is generally not a good idea. but if you have the expertise and are sure of what you're doing:

Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.

As eww said, that computer isn't specifically made for gaming. To get advanced graphics in a game, your computer needs what is called a "discrete" graphics processor, or GPU. This means a seperate chip that processes graphics. In Apple laptops, these are only found in the 15" and 17" MacBook Pro. It is not common to find these in laptops in general that are not expensive and high-end. What you have in yours is an "on-board" or "integrated" GPU. This means that graphics processing is done by a small portion of your main processor (the Intel i5 board). This takes away a portion of primary prossessing and dedicates it to graphics. This works perfectly find in most scenarios, but video rendering, gaming, and 3-D graphics tend to suffer. Most high-end, modern games require discrete GPUs to run at full quality these days.
As far as running Windows 7 and Mac OS both, yes you absolutely can. If you install Windows 7 via Bootcamp (this would require you to have a Windows 7 CD), when you turn on your computer it will default to opening up in Mac OS. But if you hold down the Option key (bottom of the keyboard next to the Command button) while the computer is booting up, it will ask you if you want to open Windows or Mac OS.

I'm assuming your dvd drive is broken? if you have a thumb drive large enough (8GB or better), you can use another computer to make a bootable image from the install dvd to the thumb drive. then you can install from the the thumb drive.

According to a random website... the HTC Wildfire S uses a Qualcomm MSM7225 processor. This processor unfortunately does not support the full ARM version 7 instruction set, so Firefox cannot run on it.

When you did this:
Connected to my Mac and iTunes and tried to sync one of the apps I bought with my account. The app shows up on one of the pages before you start the sync, but once you apply the sync, it does not transfer.
And, of cause, no restrictions set at all.
You changed syncing computers but you can only sync apps (and some other things like photos) from only your one syncing computer.

You cannot. Microsoft has not made a version of Office for iOS. There are however a number of apps that are compatible with Office documents. There are also 3rd party combined suites that cost less than the separate Apple apps. Ones often recommended include Documents 2 Go, Quickoffice and Office2 HD.
If you can accept needing a network connection whenever you want to use the apps and have an Office 365 subscription, Microsoft has just released their Office Mobile app, though it has significant limitations. Or a server-based solution such as CloudOn might be an option for you.

I have found a much easier way to install Windows 7 from a USB Flash drive. Unlike other methods where you have to write complicated commands, this method can be completed even by those who have very little computer background.
The whole process takes only two steps, run UNetbootin, load the Windows 7 ISO file, and finally restart your computer.
Before you begin, you will require the following:
USB Flash Drive (4GB minimum)
Windows 7 ISO Image file
UNetbootin
Note: If UNetbootin doesnt work, try out the Microsofts official tool called Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool.
Now insert the USB drive, run UNetbootin, and select Disk Image as ISO. Browse your local drive for Windows 7 ISO that you downloaded and click Open. Now Select Type as USB and choose the drive. Once done, it will look like a bit similar to the screenshot shown below.
Click OK and it will begin extracting all installation files to the USB drive. The whole process will take some time (10-15 minutes), so have patience.
Once the installation is complete, reboot your computer. Now while your system is starting up press the appropriate button (usually F1, F2, F12, ESC, Backspace, or Escape) to bring up Bios Boot Menu.
Change the startup order to boot USB by default, usually you will have to press F6 to move the selected USB device on top. Once done, save changes and restart the system.
