How can I keep all of my students on the same page in an iBook?

My school is in the process of giving each student an iPad Mini, one grade at a time. As a ninth grade teacher, all of my students have one, but we are having some trouble staying on the same page when we are reading a novel ( no pun intended ). What I mean is that what appears on page fifty for me will appear on page forty for one student and on page sixty for another. I tried to fix this by having all of my students keeping their iPads in landscape orientation, but that did not solve the issue. I then tried to have students adjust the size the font on their books so we would have a uniform text, but the tool for adjusting the size images this tricky as well.
I am considering having all of my students make their font size as small as possible and then giving them a specific number of times to tap on the font increase, but I am hoping to find a simpler method. Am I overlooking something?
I would appreciate any tips that you might have.

HT1373 How can I make all of my devices use the same iTunes library?

I have an iMac, Macbook Air, Macbook, iPad, iPhone and an iTouch. So, as you can imagine, I have many devices that need to be on the same page at all times. I take my Air to campus with me and use it for classes, along with my iPad, so I usually plug my iPad into my laptop for updates, dowloads, transfers, charging, etc... The same with my iPhone. However, when I get home and I plug my iPad or iPhone into my iMac, it does this whole (This iPad is currently synced to another library, would you like to Erase & Sync to this library). No. I want my Air and iMac to be the same so I can plug my devices up to either of them without having to worry about erasing or adding anything that I don't want erased or added.
How, if at all, can I accomplish this?

You can't. An iOS device can still be synced with only one computer. That is making sense have it referer to multiple files from your computer (backup, iTunes medias, sync information).
As you will only sync your iOS with one computer, it is iCloud you need to use to keep all your content in sync. While on the go, you use your iPad for a purchase for exemple, iCloud will allow you to push that purchase to all your devices automatically. Though, it doesn't mean that it will sync with any devices.
iCloud will allow you, once properly configure, to use any documents, media, purchases, apps, bookmarks, content, calendar, email... and so one in sync from any of your devices without the assle to sync from an iOS device.

How can I put report parameters and report on the same page?

I want to have a page that has user input (text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, etc.) at the top of the page, with a submit button. When the user submits the page, I want the resulting report (returned from a query) to display below the input area.
With ASP or JSP I would write a page with a FORM at the top, with the ACTION submitting to the same page. If the ASP/JSP detects it was submitted (by looking at the request URL or form parameters), it queries the database and displays the report; otherwise it doesn't query the DB or show any report.
How would I do this with with portlets?

I tried the above, but it didn't work. The form was displayed, but I couldn't find any way to make it go to the report. Is there something more that needs to be done? I'm new to Portal, so any help you can give me on entering parameters and passing them to a form (preferably on the same physical page) would be appreciated.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...

Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist.

How can I print duplicates of a photo on the same page?

I'm using iPhoto. I have two photos I want to print. I want to print two copies of these photos on one sheet.
When I try to print, at the second window in the process, I get a large white bar across most of the page and the computer locks up.
I did print one of the photos without a problem. The other photo will not print, giving me the same white bar with lockup. The photos don't seem to be different in any material way.

Different services on your iOS device (iMessage, Facetime, iCloud, iTunes and App Store) can be signed into with an Apple ID of your choice. Make sure you verify the settings for each device and that you are signed in to each service with the correct Apple ID.
I'll do an example for iMessage:
1) Go to settings on your iOS device
2) Select "Messages"
3) Select "Send & Receive"
4) At the very top you will see "Apple ID", by selecting your Apple ID, you will now have the option to sign out of messages with the current Apple ID, and sign in with the new one.
The steps for changing your Apple ID for other services will be very similar.

My computer with my original library has crashed, how can i keep all the songs on my iphone, but still add new songs from my new library?

My computer has died and will not be working ever again. Problem is, i have all of my songs on that computer in my itunes library as well as on my phone. Now i want to add some songs to my phone from some new cds and it tells me i will loose all my songs on my phone right now when i perform the sync. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
If for some reason you have failed to backup, big mistake, then you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone to the computer: File>Transfer Purchases
You may be able to buy a 3rd party program to get any other music off of the iphone ( not supported by Apple).
When you sync the iphone, it will erase the current content and replace with content form the new computer.

Happens all the time and you are probably correct about cause.
Some CD manufacturers use various forms of copy protection on discs designed to interfere with computers reading the discs. I have found iTunes to be very picky about this too. I have had several discs iTunes would not acknowledge but could rip with another program. Other times the fix is as simple as cleaning the disc ro turning on error correction for the ripping process.

I called walmart coz I bought it there and they told me that they have not heard that before but if I can't fix it, just return it and exchange it with anew one since I have 14 days to do that.
