How can i keep my contacts seperate from my wifes with ios5

Question

After installing ios5 the only way to add or edit contacts was to merge them on icloud now i have my son's and wifes's contacts on my devices because we all sync upmto the same pc with the same apple id. We would prefer to keep our conacts seperate.

I've been looking into this as well, since my husband and I each have an iPod and use the same iTunes Store account.  I haven't tried this yet, but it sounds like you can set up each person with their own iTunes account and thus their own iCloud account for backups and then go into the Store settings and put the original Store account back in.
I'm waiting to update hubby's iPod because I want to make sure my devices work OK.  He's not technically inclined and would panic if he had a problem, so I'll be doing his updating.  I really want this tactic to work because he rarely syncs his iPod so I want that cloud backup to go automatically.  I've told him that he's responsible for his own data, but I'd still have to listen to the complaining if he loses all his Angry Birds scores.
