How can I keep my e-reader from freezing up. I have to reset it more then once during reading

My Sony e-reader keeps freezing up during reading and when it has been idle for as short as an hour or as long as a couple days. What can I do about this? Does anyone have any ideas? It is frustrating.

Thanks for you reply. When I paint, I bring up the photo as you suggested. I begin painting. After about 10 minutes or so, the photo goes blank. And, I have to start the process over again to get that same photo. It interrupts the painting process. I think it goes blank due to a sleep function. I did Goggle the issue and there are a number of support articles about this error message on the Internet. It seems to be a problem in your OS but like I said, I am not Windows knowledgeable at all.
You either have to reregister the Windows installer or reinstall it - if I am reading any of this correctly.

If your meaning is you don't want your child connect to the internet you can forget the wifi connection of his/her iPod and then change the wifi password.

I would disconnect the email on your phone...
And reconnect again and if it still does that go on an actual computer, log on and delete the mails with ease...

Have iPhoto '11. Several times I have arrangged the Albums in alphabetical order. Perhaps "periodically rearrange" isn't the correct terminology, but if not the next time I open iPhoto then the 2nd or 3rd or 4th or..., the albums are in a different order, non-alphabetical. This was not a problem in the last iPhoto version.

Possibly. Media Go supports a variety of music formats, some of which can be imported in to iTunes and then synced on to an iPhone, however some of its formats cannot be imported in to iTunes.
See http://mediago.sony.com/enu/supported-file-formats/ for a list of formats supported by Media Go. iTunes for Windows supports MP3, AAC, WAV, and can import and convert WMA files as well. However iTunes does not support ATRAC, or FLAC.
Furthermore, if some of your music has been bought from an Internet music store it might be procted by DRM. If so it cannot be imported in to iTunes.
To do the importing you would either drag the music files in to iTunes, or tell iTunes to open them. See http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1347

How can I keep my account safe from enemies?

I've made some enemies that are still my Skype friends, and they are capable of taking my Skype name, and posting it on other sites saying that I want requests for XXX chatting.
It's not fair how I can't hide my Skype name from them, so they are guaranteed to get my name and use it for the wrong reason.
Is there a solution to this, can I protect my account?
Once they send my name out, I will get a barrage of requests and it pretty much ruins my entire account. There should be protection against this, this is a major flaw to Skype and it's easy to ruin someone's account.
Would they be able to see my name even if I blocked them. I don't want to block them if they can see that I blocked them, it will make it worse. Is there any way out of this?

You will not be able to transfer the items purchased or the other Apple ID. You will need to reinstall the data under your Apple ID and pay for the apps.

How can I keep my video sound from cutting out?

The last couple of weeks the sound on my videos has been cutting out after I play them on Itunes on my computer, usually after a few seconds to a minute or two. I do not have the same problem when I load them on my really old Ipod Touch however. How can I fix this problem? Everything else seems to play fine except the video audio on the computer when I use Itunes. I thought it was just the tv show audio that was affected, but I just tried a couple of movies and the soundtracks are having the same problems. Under Playback tab, highlight each device and click Properties button
Go to Advanced tab and change Sample Rate to 16bit 48000hz (DVD Quality) or 96000hz (Studio Quality), OK n OK.

How can I keep my MacBook Pro from heating up and crashing when I play Sims 3?

I have a MacBook Pro that is only about 9 monthes old. When I play Sims 3 on my computer it heats up very quickly. I can get about an hour of game play before the computer becomes slow and extremely hot. Then cetain parts of the screen turn white untill the whole screen turns white and a message appears saying something about an error happening. I am not sure if it has something to do with the computer heating up or if it's a EA problem. But if anyone has had a similar experience and knows how to fix it, that would be great. Also, any tips on how to keep my computer cool while playing games or watching movies would be great.

Your computer is going to run hot while playing CPU/GPU intensive games - it should heat up and the fans should be noticably loud. As to why it's 'crashing' - can you post a kernel panic log? You may have some third-party kexts that are causing the problems.

I listen to alot of podcasts while driving. I create a smart playlist with podcasts/number (which I edit after I see how many new ones have downloaded)/most recently added match this rule, no live updating then I give it a name e.g. "Wednesday 1048pm"
Problem:
Often I haven't listened to all the podcasts on a playlist yet but I want to connect my ipod to my computer and start the next smartplaylist since I know I will go through them all while driving. Often my latest smartplaylist seems to make changes with the previous list.
How can I set these smartplaylists to remain unchanged unless I purposely delete or change them?

How can I stop my iPhone 4 from freezing and turning off by itself?

3 days ago, my phone started freezing very often. I would hold the sleep and home button for 6 seconds to restart it. After a while, it started turning off and on by itself. Just last night it had this lit up black screen. It was totally upresponsive and my iPhone did not show up in iTunes. I let the batter run out and than I charged it. It was fine for a couple of hours and than it started turning of and on by itself. It worsened to the point where right away when my iPhone 4 turned on, it turned off. Now it has a blue screen. Pressing the home and sleep button doesn't hel. It doesn't show up in iTunes either. Should I wait for it to run out of battery like last time? What can I do in the future to prevent my phone from freezing and turning off. Will upgrading it to the newest operating system help? This phone is nearly a year and a half old. Please help.

CS4: How can I keep a scaled Symbol from returning to 100% when I edit it?

I have several instances of a symbol on my artboard. Each of these instances have different scales/sizes. I'm trying to edit one of the larger instances by double-clicking it and entering isolation mode, so that I can make some minor adjustments to the positioning of the objects and paths within that symbol so that it's not covering my other content. However, as soon as I do this, the symbol "shrinks" back down to its small original size... which makes it almost impossible to judge what the symbol will look like, because as soon as I exit isolation mode, it'll return to the larger size and then visually I can see if I guessed right.
Example, I have a "TREES" symbol. Within the TREES symbol, there are 3 individual tree shapes. I want to move the right tree a little farther right, but not too far right, because it'll cover some other content. However, as soon as I double-click the TREES symbol to edit it, the symbol shrinks so now, I can't really tell how far I need to more the right tree. Is there a preference, or a method of creating a symbol to keep it from doing this when I try and edit it?
Also, I noticed, in the above example, as I move the tree to the right, when I exit isolation mode, it appears that the entire symbol has changed position... so now the other trees aren't in the same place (visually) that they were before. It seems as though Illustrator has centered ALL the trees in the symbol, instead of leaving the left 2 trees alone and just moving the right tree farther right. (Completely opposite of the way Flash edits symbols) Is there a way to keep this from happening as well?

If I convert (break) the symbol instance into a normal group, then any changes I make to that instance will not be reflected in the other instances that have been placed in different areas of the artboard.
