How can i limit password changing?
hey guys i have an imac, and i have only one account on it, my son likes to change the password of the account , i dont want him to do that, how can i make it so that he will NOT be able to change to password without my permission?
is there a program i can install or something? please let me know as soon as possible.
basically i dont want anyone changing the admin password on my iamc without my permission and since i only have one account on my imac and everyone knows the password which is fine, i just dont want them to be ABLE to change the password themselves, i want to be the only one that can change the password

I don't really understand what you mean by that. You have important programs in your user account, that (presumably) you don't want anyone to delete or change. Setting up a separate non-admin account takes less than a minute. You can set up fast-user switching so that switching between users is a matter of clicking on your name in the top right corner of the screen. Once in your son's account, he simply cannot change or meddle with anything in your user folder, or change any applications (including Quickbooks). There really is no down-side.
As other users in this thread have said, if someone knows the admin password for the computer, there's no way to prevent them doing admin things like changing the password. You should very carefully examine why you think your son needs admin access.

You cannot remove or change the old ID. This is Find My iPhone Activation Lock. You need to recover the credentials for the Apple ID originally used to activate the iPad.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Do you mean you don't want the version number of the packaged components (e.g. forms reports etc) every time you make a change ?

In the document attached the vi on the right is sub to the vi on the left. On the subvi on the right the variable "Field Reading" is continuously updated on the front panel of the subvi as the "for" loop is executed, but only the last value of the variable is updated on the main vi front panel which is what is expected. My question is how can I display the changing value of "Field Reading" on the main vi front panel as the "for" loop in the subvi is running?

1) Create an empty global variable and call it something like User Interface References.vi
2) For each and every control and indicator on your front panel, right-click and select Create/Reference
3) Place these references wherever you like (I use a series of Event cases to perform my initialisation and these all live in one of these event cases). They can be placed anywhere in the main vi.
4) For each of the references, right-click and select Create/Indicator
5) Moving to the front panel, Cut all the indicators and Paste them in the global variable (eg. User Interface References.vi)
6) Moving back to the block diagram, wire the global variable to each of the references and select the same named global variable.
All the hard work is now done (until you add another user interface terminal). You should now have something that look as shown below, [except the reference labels would be to the left (not sure why the snippet put them above)]. In my latest program I have 82 references!
Done. You can now access all your front panel controls and indicators anywhere in your program as shown below.
You can just select Value in most cases, but in this particular case I wanted to fire off an Event to do some things (log the alarm) as well as just update the value. So, this is another bonus with the method.

How can I limit the number of emails that are retained on my iPad Air? Because of legal requirements of a long-term project, I cannot permanently delete emails relating to that project from my ISP's mail server. My gmail account contains over 17,000 emails and, upon setting up my new iPad, and updating to ios 7.1.1, I now have all 17,000+ emails taking up space. I would like to limit the emails by count as I was able to do on my old iPad running ios 5.1.1 OR to retain them based on date range. I have not found any instructions on the support discussions or general iPad blogs that allow me to do that. Any way around this problem?
I also miss the 5.1.1 mail search feature that allowed me to narrow the search by from/to/subject/all. Does anyone know if that feature is available using some little-known ios 7.1.1 feature?

I have limited space on my new ipad. How can I limit the number of songs from my itunes on my imac from going to my ipad when I connect the two?
you can do this by keeping the external hard drive connected and doing the following
-hold shift key down on computer while opening iTunes and a prompt will appear to choose a library
-select choose library, iTunes should bring up your explorer windows where you can search for the external HD
-after you find the external HD find the iTunes folder you just copied to it
-after opening the iTunes folder look for the file that says iTunes library.itl or if you can't see that extenstion just look for a document looking thing in the iTunes folder that shows up as a database file
-double click the database file and boom iTunes should load your library without having to copy it to the computer
PS: do make sure that if you are going to do it this way, make sure that the external HD is connected at all times, because if you don't then you will get exclamation marks next to your iTunes songs
double PS: if you are unsure how to find out if the iTunes library file is a database file just right click it and choose properties and under the type it should say database file

You can't. Why on earth would you attempt to manage 2500 emails with setting up a folder structure or some means of doing so? Simply keeping them in an single inbox is not realistic, no matter what email client you use.

Which password is it that you are looking for. If it is your airplay password, simply turn the password off in the airplay settings on the Apple TV and then turn it back on again and enter a new password. -
I have a keynote presentation that includes a significant amount of video. When I edit the keynote slides (not the video slides) how can I save the changes without re-saving the videos (because that takes a VERY long time)? I edit the presentation depending on the audience to which I am presenting.
If you add a new slide with just a text box (therefore a very small amount of data), to an existing presentation then save, Keynote will only save the new content to the file, it wont save pre-existing content as its already included in the file.
The time taken to "save" will be very much shorter than a "save as" when all of the existing content is saved again. -
