How can I listen to music on my apple tv wireless?

I used to be able to see my videos and listen to my Itunes music without using my apple tv’s memory……I reset the system and I don’t know how to set it up again so that I can do everything wireless by just keeping the videos and music in my Imac.
Can anyone help??? Thanks!

connect appletv to itunes as normal.
in itunes change the settings to "custom sync", and then untick everyting for syncing.
this will enable to you stream all your content rather than syncing it.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
As far as I know you can't, which sort of makes sense, it seems logical to pause whatever you are doing while you take a phone call, which after all is the primary function of a phone.

How can you listen to music and play a game at the same time?
I am playing music, by starting the Crash Baandicoot Nitro Kart 3D game it shuts off the music playing. Is there a way around this?
It seems like this should be possible.

Select the music play list you want to listen to and start it playing. Go back to the home screen and start the app you want to use, music will stop. Press the home button two time quickly and it will bring up a simple control for controling the music. This works for me with all of the apps I have purchased including games. Just a note you can pull up the same music control if the iPod is a sleep and locked by pressing the button three times quickly.

How can you listen to music without headphones?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

  • HT4623 how can i sync my music from my apple pc to my iPhone 4s

how can i sync my music from my apple pc to my iphone 4s

    Syncing with iTunes
Syncing with iTunes copies information from your computer to iPhone, and vice versa. You can
sync by connecting iPhone to your computer, or you can set up iTunes to sync wirelessly with
Wi-Fi. You can set iTunes to sync music, photos, videos, podcasts, apps, and more. For information
about syncing iPhone with your computer, open iTunes, then choose iTunes Help from the
    Help menu.
Set up wireless iTunes syncing: Connect iPhone to your computer. In iTunes on the computer,
select your iPhone (under Devices), click Summary, then turn on “Sync over Wi-Fi connection.”
When Wi-Fi syncing is turned on, iPhone syncs every day. iPhone must be connected to a power
source, iPhone and your computer must both be on the same wireless network, and iTunes must
be open on your computer. For more information, see iTunes Wi-Fi Sync on page 136.
    Tips for syncing with iTunes
    • If you use iCloud to store your contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and notes, don’t also sync them
    to your device using iTunes.
    • Purchases you make from the iTunes Store or the App Store on iPhone are synced back to your
iTunes library. You can also purchase or download content and apps from the iTunes Store on
your computer, and then sync them to iPhone.
    • In the device’s Summary pane, you can set iTunes to automatically sync when your device is
attached to your computer. To temporarily override this setting, hold down Command and
Option (Mac) or Shift and Control (PC) until you see iPhone appear in the sidebar.
    • In the device’s Summary pane, select “Encrypt iPhone backup” if you want to encrypt the
information stored on your computer when iTunes makes a backup. Encrypted backups are
indicated by a lock icon  , and a separate password is required to restore the backup. If you
don’t select this option, other passwords (such as those for mail accounts) aren’t included in
the backup and will have to be reentered if you use the backup to restore the device.
    • In the device’s Info pane, when you sync mail accounts, only the settings are transferred from
your computer to iPhone. Changes you make to an email account on iPhone don’t affect the
    account on your computer.
    • In the device’s Info pane, click Advanced to select options to let you replace the information on
iPhone with the information from your computer during the next sync.
    • If you listen to part of a podcast or audiobook, the place you left off is included if you sync
the content with iTunes. If you started listening on iPhone, you can pick up where you left off
using iTunes on your computer—or vice versa.
    • In the device’s Photo pane, you can sync photos and videos from a folder on your computer.

  • How can I listen to music on PC bought on Lumia 53...

    Hello,
I bought today music on my Smartphone on MixRadio. I could download it and everything worked pretty well. Then I had the idea to test it on my PC. When I tried to download the same Music from MixRadio(PC) they tried to charge me again the same ammount of €.
I tought I can listen to Music that I bought on MixRadio everywhere wih my account. Am I wrong?

Thanks for sharing, EloiNightingale. Did you use the same Nokia account on both devices? We understand that you've been billed again for the downloading a song that you already purchased. However, there are scenarios wherein a file has several versions. We recommend checking if the song that you downloaded is the same as the one you purchased using the phone: complete title of the song, version (acoustic version, remix, etc), singer, album and the record label. You can also check your account's purchase history to further isolate this:
    1. Go to MixRadio website: www.mixrad.io
    2. Click on the gears icon
    3. Sign in your Nokia account
    4. Click on the option "Nokia account"
    5. Click on the "Purchase History"
Purchased music tracks from the MixRadio do not have DRM protection. Saying this, you should be able to share/transfer and play the file on different devices without any restriction. This will not be the case for downloading/re-downloading the songs. Please note that you have 3 redownload credits. Once it is consumed, you may need to purchase the track again. Hope this helps.

  • How can I listen to music on YouTube and still be on other apps?

I used to be able to listen to music on YouTube but our of know where it just stopped working and will only let me "multitask" if I'm on safari.
Thank you if you have anything that can help.

I suggest downloading the (free) YouTube app from the App Store.  Then listen to your music from there.  You should be able to multitask then.

  • HT3819 How can I share my music with another apple ID device

Can I share the music on my iPad with another iPad, the other iPad has a different Apple ID

The correct answer to your question is No - you cannot "share" Music with another device using a different Apple ID. Can you make it work - yes you can.
You do not want to sign into the other Apple ID and download the purchased music because you will lock yourself out of your own Apple ID for 90 days. Apple does this in order to discourage users from "sharing" purchased content that they did not buy themselves.
Whatever you decide to do, just don't download the music from the purchased tab in iTunes, because you don't want to lock yourself out of your own ID for 90 days.

  • Can I listen to music from my Apple TV to self - powered speakers and watch regular tv at the same time? I don't have a central receiver that splits everything, just the apple tv and the speakers.

Trying to play music from my apple tv directly to speakers and at the same time watch tv. Now I'm not that advanced at technology so I kinda need the easiest way to do this. Now I see that the Apple tv has an optical audio output. Can I set that optical out to self powered speakers and then have regular RCA cables set out from the tv to the same speakers and watch the tv on mute, unless I want to turn it up for a moment. I want to be able to airplAy music through my apple tv but also put a game on at the same time if I have guest. I hope my question was clear enough, but that's the best that I can explain it. Oh by the way, I do not have one of those centrAl hub receiver where all the speakers are plugged into and where you can set different inputs and outputs out of it. Everything would be a direct connection.

yes. u dont need the tv. turn it off.
    1. direct connection (optical or stereo cables) to your amplifier
    2. use mac to play to atv, or iphone/ipod touch to remote control the atv. (wifi)
works as a charm, Ive done this for several years..

  • How can I listen to Music in iTunes on my iMac on my home stereo? system

I have all my music in iTunes on my iMac which is in my den.  I would like to listen to my music wirelessly on my Stereo system in my living room.  I could use an iPod but I have a much broader range of music on my iMac.  Can someone recommend a possible solution.  I have thought about Apple TV, would that work?

If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
    1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
    2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
    3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.
If you didn't purchase them through Itunes, then you'll have to download software that will strip the songs from your iPod onto your computer. And here is a guide about how to transfer iPod music to iTunes. Hope it helps.

  • How can I listen to music through Apple TV

receiver but still be watching TV?
Whenever I switch over to "Game" which is the HDMI port for the Apple TV - I can no longer see TV - I get the Apple TV screensaver.
    Football! Music! What to do?
    thx

Have tried to switch off ATV while using airplay from my ipad. I started with the TV on, started streaming from the iPad to the ATV. Worked well. Then I switched off the TV. The music stopped for about 5 seconds, then my Receiver switched something and the music continued. When I switch the TV on again, the music stops again for about 5 seconds, the receiver switches again and the music continues. Guess my receiver is intelligent enough to figure out when the picture signal through HDMI is no more required, to use only the audio signal. I have a high end Sony receiver that is about 4 years old. Everything is connected through HDMI.

  • How can you listen to music when you don't have an Internet or cellular connection?

Is it possible to access your library and Match?

Yes, just not all of it.
As you play music from the cloud, it gets saved to your device so the next time you play it, you don't need to be connected to the internet. That's why there's a setting to "show all music" - if you turn that off, you'll just see the songs that you have with you already, and can play without internet access.
You can also choose to download songs, albums or entire playlists, and those will be available later when you don't have a connection.

  • How can I listen to music from iphone5 on my TV - without an Apple TV?

I am clueless with technology.  Is there a specific cable I can buy that will allow me to do this?  Having searched the questions it seems the only way is to buy an Apple TV?!
    Many thanks!

Thanks muchly wjosten.  Going by the write up on that product, I'd need that and a HDMI cable too - would that be a HDMI to HDMI?
Any idea if I'd need extra cables and blah with the Apple TV?
