How can I lock people out of my computer without signing off User?

I'd like to keep an application open 24/7, but also keep people off computer when not here,
if I log off my user (the logical way to keep people put of my stuff) the app closes.

There are a couple of solutions:
1) Make a second user account, enable fast user switching, and switch to the second account when you leave the computer. This allows others to use the machine without affecting the applications that are still running in your main user.
2) In the Security settings, require a password to wake the computer or disable the screen saver. Then, set up a screen saver to go on when you hit a certain key or move the mouse to a corner of the screen. Then only someone with your user credentials can get into the machine.

These types of apps, while they appear to be helpful, can do too good a job of data "cleanup" causing the potential to do serious data corruption or data deletion and render a perfectly running OS completely dead and useless leaving you with a frozen, non-functional Mac.
Plus, these type of apps aren't really necessary.
They really aren't.
There are manual methods to clear off unnecessary data off of your Mac that are safer and you have complete control over your Mac and not just leave a piece of auto cleaning software in charge of clearing off data off of your Mac.
These apps potential of causing OS X issues outweighs the implied good and benefits these types of hard drive or memory "cleaning" apps are written to do.
Plus, the software company's that write these apps make it hard to easily uninstall these apps if something DOES go wrong and these apps work in a way where you have no recovery or revert function to return your Mac back to its former, working state in the event something does go wrong.
It is best to never download and install these types of apps.
The risk to your system and data is too great a risk!

They should be in your itunes media folder. Use an external hard drive and just copy that to your new computer. I'm sure there's an easier way like this one (iTunes>File>Library>Export Library>External Hard Drive) but I never tried it before. Anyways, once that's done, just simply authorize your itunes account to play music you bought on to the new computer.

If it's the same email address Apple registration on both, use the 2nd computer and go to the App Store and find Lion. If different, use the second computer but log in to the App store with the address you used on the first go round. The buy button should instead say install. Then go through the same process again.

Just chaexk once whether any addons are not working for it. Go to ''' open menu''' > '''add-ons''' > Select '''add-ons''' and search for "searchfusion" . Once it will found , remove it.

Iam also facing similar problem.
When I try to run my CAN application on a system on which NI-CAN s/w is not installed. It gives the error
"Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)" [error message is attached]. I included all the NI-CAN DLL's[list got using the Depends utility] under my application setup [built using InstallShield V10.0]. It copies the DLL's to the C:\winnt\system32 directory.
Am I missing any step like registering the DLL's, etc.
Can you/anyone please help ...

You need to setup your own user account on the computer to keep independent iCloud accounts, contacts & calendars. Then sign in to your iCloud account in your user account.

My father bought the Lion upgrade to install on his computer, however, it ended up being that his newly purchased lap top already came running with Lion -- thus, he never ended up using the Lion upgrade he purchased. The information he gave me for this was the Web Order Number, Part Number, and Content Code for the Lion upgrade.
