Try this...
Launch iTunes on your computer.
From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Reset warnings and Reset cache
Click OK.
Restart your computer, launch iTunes.
From the iTunes menu bar click Store > Sign In

Yes, but your iTunes library won't automatically show up on a different computer; putting it there is a separate process.

You see, I have a PC and my husband has a mac. My PC has recently died (due, I might add, to some music I downloaded from itunes that decided not to work properly, prevented any upgrades on the PC and then brutally killed it), but I need to sync my iphone (I'm upgrading) only when I plug it into his mac I only see his music... I've got A LOT more music than he does and I don't want to lose it all. I would have thought it'd be easier on a mac, you know, plug and go, but apparently not.
I played with the sharing function, only then it told me to upgrade to iTunes 10.something and the sharing option went away. I have checked the firewall (it's not even activated) so it can't be that. I have found that when I go into the advanced settings, turn off sharing and turn it on again the option comes up in the left pane... asks me to sign in... and then disappears as soon as I select 'done' (the only option available).
It probably doesn't help that I don't know my way around a mac, but pretty soon I'm going to throw it out the window.
The main reason I'm stressing out is that I just activated my sim, and at the END of it the recorded message said I'd have to sync my new phone when I was done, but I'm not going to be able to do it with MY stuff, only his... HELP?!?

Did you download a movie from iTunes while you were logged into your Apple ID or were you logged into the other person's Apple ID?
By double-clicking the the movie file, it should prompt you to login with the ID that purchased the movie.

You don't need an AppleID to access an iTunes library. An iTunes library is stored on your computer.

So, do you mean account or library? You can set up a new iTunes account but all your purchases made in that account will remain in the old account and cannot be moved. You can set up a new library by starting iTunes and immediately hold down the option key.

After clicking "sign in" at the bottom of the apps main page, it brought up another menu where I clicked "Choose existing Apple ID". After pressing this the menu disappeared and nothing happened. I tried this multiple times and received the same result each time. I tried the other available option of creating a new AP ID to log in with and that one worked perfectly fine. I am clueless as to why the log in for me is either not able to load or just completely blocking me from getting back into my iTunes account on my phone. I assume you have different iTunes collections on different PC's, or on different logins on the same PC? If that's the case then just enable "Home Sharing" in each iTunes using the SAME iTunes username and password as you enabled home sharing on the Apple TV with. The account used for home sharing is NOT the same as the account used to access the iTunes store, so as long as you use the same account (pick one, doesn't matter which) then you should see both of yor iTunes libraries on the Apple TV. Note - each iTunes has ti be running in order for the Apple TV to see the library.

Depends on what you trying to setup but for purchases, you can roll down at the very end of the iTunes/AppStore pages to logout of your current account and then login into a different one. Then your purchase will be billded to this new account. Everything will sync as you used to but in order to use the purchased content in iTunes or other devices, you will need to authorize them (you can have up to 5 devices authorized for an account).
