How can I look for number of computers on a network

Hello I have a client and server program.
I use port 12340 for communication.
I use the program at a network with more computers.
1 computer has the client program running and some of the other computers
have the server program running.
Is there a java function to see how many computers at the network have the server
program running?
I want to have a list with ip addresses of every computer with the server program or with port 12340 open.

I have a client program on the computer and and on others the server.
If I do this in my command line for example
10.20.30.40 12340 "test"
then if the computer with this ipaddress sends something back.
Now the program runs on several computers with a demo program in it.
But at the end the program is going to run on an embedded machine.
Than I make a direct connection between the computer and the embedded machine.
I make the program for people who never works with computers.
When the person starts the program he has to push a button and that the program find
the machine but it can be every time an other ipaddress and the person doesn't know this address.
For example the machine listens to port 12340 and the program on the computer knows this.
The computer doesn't know the ipaddress.
But knows that if he sends this for example he receives test ok it is the machine.
10.20.30.40 12340 "test"
Do I have to look for all possible addresses or is there a better more simple way.
I can't change the server side.

Regarding your request, maybe we could use the 'ms-DS-CreatorSID' attribute to verify the computer number that a specific has joined to the domain. Please understand that for a
computer account created by domain users, the account has 'ms-DS-CreatorSID' attribute to indicate the creator user. When a user adds a computer to the domain, a process enumerates the 'ms-DS-CreatorSID' attribute on every computer account in the domain and
calculates if the sum exceeds the current quota for that user.
The 'ms-DS-CreatorSID' and 'ms-DS-MachineAccountQuota' with default value 10 are also available in Windows Server 2008 AD DS.
Note: The 'ms-DS-CreatorSID' attribute will be unset in the computer account that is pre-created in Active Directory Users and Computers MMC or joined by domain administrators.
Auditing on the computers container should work for collecting information of joining computer into the domain.

So, I downloaded Office 2016 for Mac. A lot of updates were going on, so I clicked CHECK FOR UPDATES MANUALLY, and now I don't know how can I see if any update is available. Help me please. Thank you~

How can I look for recently installed programs on imacs?

I am suspicious that two imac computers have been hacked through a gmail address. When I opened mail on one computer the gmail account was empty and after contacting google they cant be retrieved. I changed password. Then this morning another imac that was linked via mail to the gmail account, started reinstalling over 2000 emails from another email account suggesting those too had gone missing off the computer not the server. I turned off that computer and unplugged it from the net. On my laptop that the gmail account was not linked to the other emails in my service provider email account were still on that computer so I figure it is safe.I changed the other email account password. I want to know how I find out if this is just an awful coincidence and whether my computers are safe to use or if I have to change all my passwords or what... I hope someone can help. Im feeling a bit overwhelmed with doubt. Is there someway i can detect if some malware has been installed on these computers?

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the behest of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with "Model Identifier." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

You can Deauthorize all the Computers and authorize the Computer you are using now.

Check Mail Preferences, Accounts tab. Select the account, then the Mailbox Behaviors tab. See if you have it set to Permanently erase deleted messages when: One week old. (or less)

I realize what I am about to write sounds a bit weird: to change the term of a Skype Number subscription, we need to permit it to expire, or in other words, reach the end of its term. Your Skype Number will be held on account for you for 90 days following the expiration date, so you can sign in even on the same day you receive the e-mail stating your Skype Number subscription has expired, to reinstate the subscription and change the term.
I had to ensure I had enough credit on account so my renewal would process successfully; if you plan to renew for a year and use credit for your payment method, remember to add enough credit to cover the cost of the annual subscription. You could also change your payment method at the time you reinstate/renew your Skype Number subscription.

Does the Date Modified column in a window set to List view show the date correctly, or does it also display it incorrectly?
To add additional columns to a Finder (folder) window, with that window open and active open the View Options for it. You can do that by pressing Command-J or by selecting View Options from the View menu in the main menubar.

In DTP screen also you can view batch settings. Check the Settings menu, you will find Batch.

If you go to Settings>Notification Centre>Mail each of your email accounts will appear here separately. You can then change if Badges are displaye on the Mail App - which will show you the number of emails - or not.

If you have no record of it at your end, the only place you might find it is at Adobe's end via logging into your Adobe account and seeing if it is listed there. If you registered the software it should be.
Beyond that your only hope might be to have Adobe support check your information to see if the software/serial number is available and if it can be given to you. Try contacting them by chat or telephone.
