How can I make a CD full of photos play as a slide show?

Hi all.
I hope I am posting in the right place.
On my XP machine I can insert a CD or DVD loaded with photos and without any convertions it loads and I can choose to view the photos as a slide show by clicking on an command in the left window "View as slide show".
Does the Mac OS X have a similar and simple way to view photos as an automated slide show?
If so, how would I go about working it?

Try a PRAM reset. Hold down Command-Option-P-R while booting until the tone sounds for a third time.

Whatever size my quicktime file is when I post the .mov online it always shows up playing from a browser (Safari, Explorer or Firefox) in a small window.
If like it to play in a large size....
I know some trailers on Apple.com do this...

QuickTime movies do not have to play back in a browser window. The option (and burden) is on the html author. With clever use of special html "tags" the author can present the file using the QuickTime Player application (target="quicktimeplayer") or at a size other than the movies actual dimensions (scale="tofit"). I burnt some clips from iDVD to DVD and want to know if anyone knows if there is a setting to make the clips flow through instead of having to go to menu and pick each clip?

Two ways:
1 - join the clips together as one file with Qjuicktime Player, iMovie or other app designed for that and use the single clip.
2 - create a slideshow in iDVD and add the clips to it. Set the slides display time to anything except manualliy. Do not add a transition or music.

I have a simple animated graphic comprising eight layers in a PSD file created in Photoshop. Can I create a version of this which can be included in a PDF file or a slideshow. I do not want to display it on the web. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I'm confused now. Just how would an animated GIF be different from an animated PSD (if there IS such a thing). Sounds like your best bet would be to use the PSD to make an SWF and inport THAT to the PDF, because you can use an SWF in a PDF and it will play.
